HIS VISIT
A Week Later...
Since the last meeting, we send each other messages, sharing moments about our day and texting 'good nights'.
It's 6 in the evening. Dad just left for the supermarket and won't be back for at least an hour. And that means I can dance to my secret playlist in my room. I slip into my lavender silk night dress and put on the sensual playlist on the speakers.
My hips start swaying to the rhythm of the song and I close my eyes to feel it better. The music is slow and inviting, muddling my senses and drawing me in. I dance a sensual routine, feeling up my body with my hands, dropping down and splaying my legs open and shut. I let my body do a single roll and then spread my arms wide when the music stops. I get up to dance to the next song when I notice him standing at the door. My eyes widen in surprise...
Has he been watching me all this time while I was dancing? Then all of a sudden I become acutely aware of the very little clothing barely covering my body. My cheeks heat up instantly at the thought and I drop my gaze. Fidgeting with my dress to reach my knees, I quickly turn around and start walking towards the bathroom.
Suddenly I hear his footsteps approaching, and I freeze in my place. He stops right behind me and puts his long coat on my shoulders to cover me. I can hear him taking a sharp breath. Then, he clears his throat and in a low husky voice says, "Go, change... I'll be waiting for you." The desire and nervousness in his voice makes me squirm my thighs together. My stomach starts fluttering and an electric shiver runs through my spine, leaving goosebumps all over my body. Before he notices anything, I quickly run off to the bathroom with my clothes in hand.
After putting on my pajama and t-shirt, I come out in front of him. While my head is still bowed low in embarrassment, I muster up the courage to look at him through my eyelashes. He's looking at me! I panick and start digging my nails into my thighs. He comes up, takes both of my hands in his and starts in a deep voice, "Look at me Jane!" I slowly look up at him and watch him staring at me with an intensity I've never seen before and maybe a little bit of something else...
"I came here to make sure your wound has healed. Is it still causing you pain?" he asks. I shake my head as a 'No'. "Okay then, will you be free this weekend?" I look at him with confusion. He smiles and says, "It'll be our first official date!"
I can't believe what I just heard! The Austen Parker asking me out on a date?! Is it a dream?! I'm lost for words to answer, as he looks expectantly at me. Then, before my mind was able to process anything, I nod in agreement. He instantly breaks out in the most dreamiest smile, never looking away. I start smiling too. Who could've been able to handle a surprise visit and a dating proposal on the same day from their forever crush?
