Finding A Way

*Silence*

"....."

"Why is it so quiet today?...." Mr. Adolphus asked as he glanced over towards his wife who was glaring at their daughter who looked like a pitiful puppy.

"Ask her. The princess who woke up after noon and then vanished in mid-air instead helping me out for the preparations" Mrs. Adolphus said, still glaring at Scarlett who was looking down the whole time, fidgeting with her fingers.

"That's it? It's nothing new. She has never helped you out before so why the fuss now? Leave my little kid alone" Mr. Adolphus said.

'Was that my help or an insult?'  Scarlett thought. Mrs. Adolphus just sighed.

"Where are the others and the newlyweds? It's almost lunch time. They also haven't been introduced yet." Mrs. Adolphus asked.

"Yeah, I asked Andre to bring Elisa but I doubt that she'll come" Mr. Adolphus said.

"*sigh* I really feel pity for that child" Mrs. Adolphus said as Mr. Adolphus nodded.
