A Step Closer

The sound of sneaky footsteps echoed throughout the empty dark hallway. There was very limited light, enough to see the route and the surroundings.

Elisa silently walked through the hallway as it somehow managed to trigger the dark memories of the night before her departure. She suddenly felt chills when the horrifying scene repeated in her mind but soon brushed it off, focusing on her today's goal, which was to unveil the truth.

It was dark yet a very long hallway with a door after every few steps. Hernan did open the doors to check inside since he couldn't stay still and was awfully curious but there was nothing behind those door, a bit of empty space with a few furniture covered with white cloth.

"Lisa? Do you really think we will find something here? All I see is old furniture resembling ghosts" Hernan whispered, already tired. Elisa shook her head at his comment and headed further.
