Humming along the way as he walked home, Yuki was in an extremely good mood. The first day of school was more interesting than he thought it would be and he found it interesting to talk with Chitoge.

He decided that after he got home, he would take a tour around town since he hadn't taken notice of it as he was rushed to school this morning.

As he tried to open the door, he realized that it was already unlocked. Although he didn't believe that someone would rob his house in broad daylight, he was still careful and decided to use some 'Scooby-Doo Tacits 101 (A/N: Just being disrespectful)' to check out the situation.

"Is anybody in here?"

"Oh, just hold on a second!", answered a feminine voice that came from the kitchen."

Yuki immediately let down his guard as he entered the house. The voice sounded way too familiar to him and his memories made him realize who it belonged to.

He subconsciously let a loving smile show on his face that surprised even himself. He realized that the previous host of his body only smiled when he was around his family.

As he took off his shoes, he heard the increasing volume of footsteps approaching from the kitchen. For some reason, he felt the need to brace himself as the footsteps grew louder.

Just as he had expected, a few seconds later, an adult female body crashed into him as he stood in the doorway. The force of the impact knocked the air out of his lungs.

Before he could catch his breath, his head was pulled into the bosom of the lady he had identified as his mother.

"Welcome home!"

"... I'm home, but can you please let me go!? I can't breathe!"

"Just a few more minutes."

"I won't last that long!"

....

Yuki was now sitting at the dinner table eating the lunch that his mom had made for him.

"Why did you come back this time?", asked Yuki as he devoured the food on the table.

"Mouu, do you not what you see your mother anymore?"

"That's not what I meant. I just thought you were coming during the holidays."

"I was, but I suddenly got a break so I decided to see my lovely boy."

'Lovely? I'm just gonna ignore that.' thought Yuki as he changed the topic. "How's dad doing?"

"Your dad is still busy. I guessing that he won't come home in quite a while."

"I see. Then, when are you leaving?"

"Ara, It really seems like you want me to leave?", asked Yuki's mom with an angelic smile that seemed scarier than anything else at that moment.

"O-Of course not. I just wanted to know how much time I have left to spend with my dearest mother."

"Is that so?"

"Of course it is."

"I see. Anyway, I'm leaving after breakfast tomorrow. I still have to finish my project."

"OK."

"Are you sure you won't be lonely without your mother here?"

"Why would I be lonely?", asked Yuki with a visible blush on his face.

"Oho, it seems like my boy has someone to keep him company? Maybe I should meet this lucky lady? "

"It's not like that at all! "

"I see... Well, your mother still loves you no matter your preferences. I'm not sure about your father though."

"I didn't mean that either!"

"Ufufu."

....

Yuki walked out of his house with a worn-out expression. He didn't know why his mom liked to tease him so much. Still, it brought a smile to his face every time he thought about it.

Yuki was enjoying his afternoon stroll around town. The previous host of this body wasn't interested in anything much, apart from the grocery store and the bookstore.

He decided to check out the bookstore that could grab the attention of the previous host. Along the way, Yuki kept track of everything that he was interested in, so he could come and take a look when he had more time. He passed by a cafe that he especially felt like he should visit someday.

Yuki entered the bookstore with a smile. The smell of books was a smell he really loved in his previous life. He browsed the shelves to see if he could find anything interesting to read.

As he walked around the store, he finally found something interesting, or rather someone.
