5 Sign up for school

Part 5.

As soon as I saw Mrs. Murni coming home from the health center, I conveyed her message. As usual, he gave me some vegetables and food to take home.

After two hours, my ironing was done. Today I did not sweep and mop because Mrs. Murni's niece was staying overnight.

"Excuse me, Mrs," I said politely.

"Be careful on the road, Vira! This is pocket money for you!" said Mrs. Murni as she slipped the paper money into my hand.

"Thank you very much, Mrs." I kiss the back of Mrs. Murni's hand.

"Viraaa ... tomorrow comes again, ya!" said Tama from behind her bedroom door.

I laughed at the skinny man's behavior. Bu Murni immediately rolled her eyes at her son.

"Haa-haa, what the hell, Mah! His eyes seem to want to pop out!" he teased.

I left the mother and child who were joking. Their laughter was still heard until I came out of the clinic grounds.

My mind is still confused about school fees. "Yes, God may there be a way and fortune so that I can go to school again," I prayed in my heart.

Because curious, I swung my steps towards the high school that was meant by Triana this afternoon. By taking public transportation, I arrived in front of a two-story building that said "SMA Negeri 1."

I ventured to ask the security guard at the school gate.

"Excuse me, sir, I have a question," I said politely.

"What do you want to ask, Miss?" asked the security guard.

"She said this school has opened registration, yes, sir?"

"Oh-the plan is tomorrow morning, it's okay

enroll in this school!"

"If I may know, what is the highest score requirement to enroll in this school?" I asked again.

"Must have a value of eight point five, then you can register here!" he explained.

"So who wants to register here? You, ya?"

"He-hee, I, sir," I replied shyly.

"Alright, come here tomorrow! Read the terms on the notice board!" he said, pointing to the banner hanging on the wall.

"Thanks for the info, sir," I went home relieved. At least, this curiosity has been cured.

Arriving at the house, I saw Raka and Riki playing in the yard. As soon as they saw me coming home they ran to hug me.

"Eh-eh, what's this?" I asked confused.

"We were scolded by Mother, Sis! She said it was very noisy watching the television.

"Oh, it's normal like that!" I said.

"I don't know, that's why we just played in the yard! So that Mom wouldn't be disturbed by the sound of the TV!" said Raka.

It seems that Mother is starting to get depressed, and angry with no clear end. Saying hello, I entered the house. Then knocked on my mother's door.

"Viral... you're home, ya?"

"Yes, Mom," I said.

Mother came out of the room with tangled hair. She sat in the living room looking at the package in my hand.

"This is a fortune given by Mrs. Murni."

I gave the package into his hand. After opening, some vegetables have been cooked along with the side dishes. Mother called Raka and Riki who were playing. They came rushing to hear Mother's voice.

"What's the matter, Mom?" said Raka, while Riki was hiding behind his brother's back

"Here, eat! Get some rice in the kitchen, okay!" "Don't forget to wash your hands, okay?" remember me. "Mother eats too, yes! Let Vira get rice!"

"Later, Vir! I'm not hungry yet!" reject it.

"Yes Sis!" they said almost in unison.

"Eat, Mom! I wish you a speedy recovery, health, and refreshment!" I persuaded.

Mother was just silent hearing my words, her eyes and eyes were blank looking out. Is it possible that Mother hopes that one day you will come home, come back to this family?

Mom... Vira combed her hair, ya?!" I asked.

Mother nodded, and I took the comb into the room. On the bed, lay a photo of when we were still hanging out with you. Father's departure this time caused a deep wound for Mother. Because he went not only with clothes but jewelry that had been my mother's savings all this time.

Oh my God, my chest feels tight remembering all these events. Why are their parents as brave as you in this world, I muttered. I wiped the corners of my eyes that were emitting fine grains. I don't want you to see the same sadness in our hearts.

Today I asked my mother for permission to play at Triana's house. Mother's condition is getting better, she is working again at Mrs. Murni's clinic. His emotions are also stable, he doesn't get angry often anymore.

This is what my family situation is like now, at least, Mother is out of the house no longer confined to her room. Indeed, his body looks thinner, because he has a lot of thoughts.

After Mother came home from cooking, then I went to Triana's house. I brought a small bag containing a photo and a photocopy of the diploma requirements for applying to a state high school. I hid my small bag under my clothes so Mom wouldn't see it.

Raka and Riki are still on school holidays, I told them to take care of Mother. Just play in the yard. If you turn on the television, turn the volume down. They immediately understood what I meant.

Along the way I prayed, hopefully, there will be luck so that I can go to school again. What's more, you can graduate from this favorite high school. Imagining this makes me smile to myself.

"Hey, Vira... I thought you wouldn't come!" Triana said when she saw my face appearing in front of her house.

"So, here I bring all the conditions!" I said holding up a small bag.

"Wow, I'm really excited to wear a gray and white uniform," said Mrs. Tika.

"Hee-hee, yes, Auntie," I said.

We immediately said goodbye, afraid to register late. Because on the first day there are usually a lot of participants queuing up to take the form.

I'm afraid Mother will be suspicious if I go home for a long time. Because he said goodbye, she just went to a friend's house to play.
