Caring and Considerate

There were two cars, Dan and Amara were travelling in one of them, the other three – Jim, Carl and Victor were in the other car.

Joshua waited for Amara to go towards one of the cars so that he could follow her and travel with her.

"Hey, come with us" Vic shouted from the other side and ordered Joshua to join them.

"I don't want to" he arrogantly shouted back.

Dan glanced at Joshua, to not rise any suspicion towards his behavior, Joshua composed himself and explained, "I am sure it is a long journey, if you have me it would be convenient as we can take turns in driving and you can rest too."

Amara didn't know how to drive and when they came to this town it was Dan who drove all the way as it would be a bit risky to stop on way and switch drivers between two cars.

Joshua made a reasonable argument and Dan asked him to join them.

Dan was a bit tired so Joshua offered to drive first and Amara assured him that she will ensure he is going on the right way and he can rest for some time.

They planned to set the GPS and start their journey back to Sicily.

The other car followed them to ensure their safety, no matter the fact that Joshua helped them get the diamonds sooner but the truth is he is someone they just met and it was already risky for them to let him accompany their team and allowing him to travel with Dan and Amara was another risk they were taking so they couldn't keep their guards down and it was better to follow their car to keep an eye on them as Joshua was the one driving.

Dan looked really tired as he didn't sleep properly in the past few days because of planning and then he drove all the way and though he was waiting outside the restaurant when the others were on the mission, he didn't slack even for a second and was alert every moment, if something happened which is not in line with their plan then he was ready to barge in to protect his people. He therefore didn't rest properly so Amara asked him to lie in the back seat and she joined Joshua in the front seat of the car.

Before setting the GPS she coldly asked him, "Do you want to stop at your place first?"

"Why?" Joshua didn't understand her intention.

"Don't you want to pack your clothes and other essentials?"

Joshua dramatically placed his hand on his chest and exhaled, "Oh my goodness, the leader of the Russo gang is so caring and considerate"

Amara felt embarrassed and was not sure how to rebuke but thanks to Dan she did not had to, "Just shut up and go to your place first, it was her tactic to find your place and get more information on you" Dan really thought that was Amara's intention.

Amara sighed as this was a logical explanation and decided to agree with it but Joshua countered Dan's words, "If that was really her intention then you just revealed your boss' secret plan"

Dan was speechless and looked at Amara, she too angrily glared at Dan just to prove the point and imply this was indeed her intention and Dan just said it out aloud. 

Dan felt embarrassed.

"Anyway, since the cat's out the bag, just head towards your home, it will give us an opportunity to conduct a background check on you"

Chuckling at her words Joshua headed towards his house, he knew she was indeed caring towards him and didn't intend for a check just like she declared, Dan informed Vic about it and ordered them to follow their car.
