Home for the Holidays

~~~~~~~~Ethan's POV~~~~~~~
With the holidays coming up most of the students have left for home, leaving just Marcus and I in the dorm. My mother had called me up the day before, asking if I wanted to come home for Christmas. I was eager to go home, but didn't want to be without Daddy, so I decided to be bold and ask her if I could bring my roommate with me. She questioned me at first, asking if he didn't have any family to spend the holidays with, but when I mentioned that his family only lived in the next town over she relented and said he could come.
Daddy was shocked at first, but happy when I told him that I wanted him to meet my mom like I'd met his family a couple months prior. After speaking with his parents it was decided he'd stay at my mom's house with me for the majority of Christmas vacation and we'd spend Christmas Eve at Mom's and Christmas Day at his parent's house. After all our plans were in order we set out packing. I decided not to bring a whole lot of little stuff as I didn't want my mom to see, but made sure to pack my paci and Chompy, as well as a couple dino diapers, my story book, and some of the less conspicuous shirts.
Once everything was packed we headed out to my mother's for our month of relaxation. The car ride was fun as Daddy had a DVD player in the back and put on The Backyardigans, a show I absolutely adored as a child, for me to watch. I happily danced along to the music in the back seat as I watched the show intently. Daddy had said not to worry about using my paci and cuddling Chompy on the way there, that he'd let me know when we were close to my mom's house so I could put them away to insure she didn't see, so there I sat with my comfort items in pure bliss.
Once we were around the corner from home, Daddy let me know and I put away my paci and Chompy. As we pulled up I could see Mom looking out the window, opening the door when she saw us pulling in.
"Mom!" I said, hopping out of the back seat the second Daddy parked, running over to give her a big hug.
"Oof! Well hey there, sweetie! You seem pretty chipper today" she says, hugging me back.
Daddy gets out of the car, walking over to join us. "Hello Mrs. Price. It's nice to meet you" he said, stretching out his hand to shake, which my mom ignored, pulling him into a hug.
"No need to be so formal, hun. It's nice to meet you too, Marcus. I'm so glad Ethan could make a friend at college!" She said, briefly confusing Daddy before he hugged her back.
After a brief introduction Daddy and I got our stuff and brought it in, taking everything to my room. Daddy was quite surprised at how baren my room was, pretty much just a bed, bedside table, desk, and not much else. Thinking about it, it seemed so bland compared to the colorfully decorated dorm room with all my toys and my bed with dinosaur sheets. We set down our stuff and went to join mom in the dining room for lunch.
"So, Marcus, what are you studying in school?" Mom asks before taking a bite of her sandwich.
"Oh, I'm majoring in mechanical engineering with a minor in child care" he says with a bright smile.
"Mechanical engineering? I bet you and Ethan have a lot of overlapping classes then, what with him being in programming" mom says with a smile. "And childcare? You like taking care of children?"
"Oh yeah! I used to babysit back before college started. I've always enjoyed taking care of kids" he said with a smile.
"You seem like a good boy. I'm sure you'll make a wonderful father one day" mom says, not understanding how good a daddy he already is.
"Oh, thank you, Mrs. Price" he says.
Daddy subtly signals to me that I should probably go change, having noticed my diaper is bulging my pants a little much, which means I'm likely close to leaking.
"I'll be right back, mom. I need to go...you know..." I say, excusing myself and going to my room to change.
~~~~~~~~Marcus' POV~~~~~~~

As soon as Ethan gets to his room and shuts the door his mother turns to me. "Soooo, how do you and my son get together?" She asks me, nearly making me choke on my drink.

"Wh-what?" I stammer, coughing a little.

"Oh come now, Marcus. I'm old, but I'm not blind" Justine says, playfully rolling her eyes. "My son brought his roommate home for Christmas. If you didn't have anyone to spend Christmas with, then that'd make a lot of sense, but you do. You don't just invite your friend to stay with you for Christmas break unless they're more than just a friend."

"M-Mrs. Price, I assure you it's not like that" I say, feeling my cheeks heat up.

"Marcus, I'm not gonna judge either of you. You two have only been here an hour and I can already tell how happy my son is. I've only ever dreamed of seeing him this happy, but you've made it happen. If my son is happy, then so am I" she says, smiling softly.

"I...Mrs. Price I really mean it, we're just... friends. We've gotten close but we're not...that close" I say, blushing up a storm.

"Marcus I see the way the two of you look at each other. If you two really aren't together, then I'd say you're only fooling yourselves" she says with a look of care in her eyes.

Just as I go to speak, we hear Ethan's door open and he walks back in smiling. I turn to look at his mother again, getting a wink.

The rest of the day goes by smoothly. We had an amazing dinner, watched Polar Express, and Ethan and I retreated to his room. After the conversation with Ethan's mother earlier, I was a little hesitant to share the bed with Ethan, but my baby was very insistent that I not sleep in the floor or on the couch, and I couldn't deny him once he turned on the puppy dog eyes, also convincing me to read him a bedtime story.

"Nini, Daddy" he yawns as he drifts off to sleep, curled up with Chompy next to me.

Soon enough he was out like a light, leaving me wide awake to think over what Ethan's mother had said. Yes, she doesn't know what our actual dynamic is, but could she be right? I love my baby, but could there be more to it there? Before I could think about it too much I felt a ping in my bladder, telling me I needed to get up and go to the bathroom. I carefully pried myself out of the bed as to not wake my sleeping baby, sneaking out of the room.

After finishing up in the bathroom I walk out, seeing Ethan's mother sitting in the living room. As soon as she sees me she waves me over. "Can we talk, Marcus ?" She asks.

"Is everything alright, Mrs. Price?" I asked, feeling a little concerned, not quite able to read the expression on her face.

As I sit down she starts to speak to me, slightly hushed, saying something that made my heart almost stop. "I was walking by Ethan's room before you two went to sleep and I just wanted to know.....why did my son call you daddy?"
