Chapter 67

Angel's POV

The next day, it was time for Gabriel and me to leave his parents' house.

I sat in Gabriel's car talking to Alice, and Humbert didn't go out to see us off.

"I look forward to your next visit." Alice said.

"I'm looking forward to my next meeting with you, too." I kissed Alice on the cheek.

"I don't want to let you go, but it's time, goodbye." Alice waved to us.

"Bye." I said.

Then Gabriel and I left the place together.

I didn't say any word on the way back, my mind was still a jumble of things fighting in my head.

"What's going on Angel? I feel like you're a little weird." Gabriel asked me.

I could pretend nothing had happened in front of Alice, but I couldn't in front of Gabriel.

I saw Gabriel's face in the rearview mirror and I wanted to say something, but when I opened my mouth, I couldn't say anything.
