Chapter 60

Angel's POV

One night, three days later, I lay in Cathy's bed and closed my eyes. I sensed some small movement.

'There's someone approaching you.' Slade said.

'I've spotted it, maybe it's the prey we've been waiting for days.'

We ended our brief conversation and pretended to have fallen into a deep sleep.

A soft call sounded from behind me, and if I hadn't listened carefully, I would have likely missed her voice.

"Cathy, can you hear me--"

I didn't answer, and as the footsteps came closer, suddenly, a few white lights streaked by and she swung her claws at me in the moonlight!

"I'm sorry, but you had to die!"

A gust of wind sounded in my ears, carrying a powerful force. It was the same force that tore Laura and Gina's necks and ripped out their hearts.

'It's now Angel!' Slade shouted.
