Chapter 3: Sarah

"This is?" The two girls asked looking at Max with interest. He was even cuter than the three boys they invited, unexpectedly Isabella brought a cute boy with her.

"Max, the boy I said shares an apartment with me," Isabella replied.

"Isa, you hid it well, huh." One of the girls laughed as she put her arm around Isabella's neck.

Isabella didn't know what to say, initially, Max wasn't all that charming, but suddenly he was?

The three boys were glaring at Max before it was supposed to be three girls and three boys, but with him here, it became a hindrance, and what pissed them off the most was that Max was prettier than they were.

After a simple introduction, Max learned that the three boys were called, Ezequiel, Daniel, and Rafael. As for the two girls, they were Larissa and Maisa.

Max looked at their information.

Larissa:

[<Appearance: 88>]

[<Favoritism: 50>]

Maisa:

[<Appearance: 85>]

[<Favoritism: 60>]

As expected, they looked 90+ because they were wearing a lot of makeup, unlike Isabela.

But, that doesn't mean they were ugly, with an 85 and 88, they're pretty enough to make the three boys who follow them drool.

They rented a room for 3 hours.

"I'm going to the restroom." After knowing the room number, Max wanted to open the rest of the Cards and then come back.

When Max comes near the bathroom, he sees a young adult in her mid-20s.

She was crouching down to reach for a golden clasp.

Since Max was so close, she waited for him to move out of the way, but when he didn't move, she lifted her head to widen her field of vision. The white dress shirt looked cheap, but it was the tall, lanky frame underneath that made him sensational. Still, despite all that impressive display of masculinity, it wasn't until she saw his face that she realized what was actually in front of her.

'Wow. Just... Wow.'

In a gesture full of elegance, Max crouched right in front of her. With all that masculine beauty within reach of her eyes, all she could do was stare in wonder.

That's when the space between them disappeared.

As he looked at her, he shifted... As if a shield had been removed from his eyes, revealing an overwhelming life force that forced her to gasp for breath. The powerful magnetism he gave off intensified, transforming into an almost tangible impression of vigorous, inexhaustible energy.

Reacting purely on instinct, she leans back and lands on her butt.

Her elbows throbbed violently from the thud against the marble floor, but the pain went almost unnoticed. She was more concerned with looking, mesmerized by the man in front of her. His vivid light brown hair framed a breathtaking face. His bone structure would make a sculptor weep with joy, and his mouth firm contours, his nose straight, and his intense green eyes gave it a wild beauty. Except for the slightly narrowed eyes, his countenance was utterly impassive.

His shirt perfectly matched the glow of the iris. His eyes were piercing and inquisitive, and they were fixed on her. Her heart began to beat faster; her lips parted partially with the quickening of her breath. His scent was tempting. It wasn't cologne. Body lotion, maybe. Or shampoo. Whatever it was, it was intoxicating, just like him.

He reached out to her, showing off his well-defined, strong arms.

She takes a shaky breath and puts her hand over his. Her pulse raced as he squeezed her. His touch was like a wave of electricity, which shot up her arm and raised the hairs on the back of her neck. For a moment he remained motionless, a crease filling the space between his absurdly well-shaped brows.

"Everything is fine?" Max asked.

His voice was soft and refined, with a touch of hoarseness that made her stomach turn cold. It was an evocation of sex. To the best of sex. For a moment she even thought she might have an orgasm just listening to him talk.

Her lips were dry, so she ran her tongue over them before answering, "Yes."

He rose with a remarkable economy of gesture, pulling her up with him. They kept staring because she couldn't look at anything else. He was younger than she'd first thought. Her guess would be less than 20, but his eyes looked much more experienced. Relentlessly smart and sharp.

It was as if she were being drawn to him as if a rope around her waist pulling her slowly but inevitable in his direction.

She blinked several times to wake up from that kind of delirium, she let go. He wasn't just beautiful, he was…fascinating. The kind of man who makes a woman want to open her shirt with a single tug and watch the buttons go down along with inhibitions. She looked at his social T-shirt and all she could think of was a violent fuck, ripping the sheets.

He bent down to pick up the badge I didn't even realize I'd dropped, freeing her from his irresistible gaze. Her brain struggled to get back to functioning normally.

She was annoyed at feeling so disconcerted while he seemed calm and collected. 'It's because? Because I was dazzled, why not.'

Max looked down from below, and that position, he practically kneeling in front of her, made her almost lose her balance again. As he rose, his eyes remained fixed on hers.

"Are you sure everything is okay? You better sit down for a bit." Max said.

She felt her face turn red. "I just lost my balance. Everything is fine."

On the name tag, Max saw her name: Sarah Ohana.

Sarah asked, "Could you return my badge, please?"

Max reached out to give it back to her. Although she struggled to get him back without any physical contact, his fingers brushed hers, causing that feeling of electricity to circulate through her body again.

"Thanks," Sarah muttered before walking past him and taking the street path through the revolving door.

Max looked back, and looked at her information:

Sarah:

[<Appearance: 95>]

[<Favoritism: 80>]

'Very beautiful, and she sees me so favorably on the first date...' Max smiled and walked towards the bathroom.
