Ilyana however didn't pay any attention to their interaction. If it wasn't Laila who had shot this man then who was it? They seemed to be an ally as they had decided to protect her and Lev but a gun isn't a weapon just "anyone" could possess.

"Lady Ilyana," Victoria's voice entered them. She looked at Laila who had rubbed her arms before running behind her holding to her arms as if she was scared of something.

"Vic," Ilyana noted, "Good job, can I assume no one was hurt in process?"

"Whether they are Samuel's men, I have made sure no one was caught in the fire."
