It's been a while, Noah

"That's not true. I think we are doing the right thing. The Mr.Lukas I know would never be played in someone else's hand.

"Flattery won't get you anywhere."

"No, it's true. I have been working under you for more than six months now. I haven't seen you doing anything unnecessary that was out of place."

He didn't say anything rather kept quiet. Was he embarrassed? Probably not. He's not a person who gets embarrassed by small things.

The road was pretty much empty so I pumped the speed a bit and we arrived at the station in approximately 20 minutes.

He made a sigh as if there were going to be a hassle waiting for him. Don't tell me he's going to talk with the Chief and hand over the case? No, it's not possible after coming so far.

I parked the car and we both exited the car at the same time.

This is the station we should be in rather than the creepy house of Mr.Lukas's.

"Let's go." Saying that Mr.Lukas stepped forward. I locked the car and followed him like an obedient puppy.

The station has changed a lot. The crowd was as always. Whatever happens, this place would never go without people. CPA-4 is the place with the highest criminal record. Each day about 10000 of report is recorded.

I wanted to know why Mr.Lukas came here but I couldn't find the right time

"Oh?" The one who made an unusual sound was Mr.Noah. He seemed to notice us. As he turned his head in our direction an unwavering grin appeared. He was the worst person I have ever seen in my life. His usual duty was to mock Mr.Lukas and insult him as much as possible. If only he wasn't here, Mr.Lukas could live a peaceful life working. Apparently, he was talking with his underlings, A grill in her twenties, wearing a suit that's suitable for man bur despite that she looked elegant. She shot Glances in our direction. By her body language, it appears to me that she was looking down on us. Shit, I had this type of girl.

However, Mr. Lukas didn't mind any of it and he went forward. Did he intend to talk with him? It would just be a waste of time.

"Oh, oh, isn't it that stubborn detective who got suspended?" He asked his acquaintance Standing beside him. She didn't answer that as the words were meant for Mr.Lukas.

"It's been a while, Noah" Mr. Lukas is well composed today.

"Truly it is. Now that you're gone the office is much calmer. You're always a nuisance to us."

"Glad to hear that. Let me cut the chase. I want to talk with you."

"Me? That's quite surprising. Did you need money or something? Ha ha." He's making my blood boil and why's Mr.Lukas need help from someone like him. It's better to commit suicide than to get help from him. The devilish one on his face was rising up as Mr. Lukas was not fighting back.

"I see, then Mia unlock the negotiation room. We got business to do." He commanded his junior. She took her to leave. Before that, she shot another pair of deadly glances at us. What's wrong with her?

"So, Mr. Lukas you have gone pretty old. You need help from me now. Where's that one-man army? Did it got lost in past?" This guy sure has an old grudge against Mr. Lukas. No matter what he would bring the past one way or other.

"Well, who knows. This is just human nature. When you grew old you realize how important life is and started valuing it."

"Is that so. Well, I can't trust that from someone like you. Who gives up everything for persuading the monsters."

After a while, the girl in the suit appeared again.

"Sir, we can go now."

"Yea' let's go Mr. Good for nothing." He referred to Mr.Lukss who followed him

I also did the same. The room was pretty simple. A table in the middle. Two chairs on both sides. Mr. Lukas and he sat while the girl and I stood beside them. I didn't want to look at her but our glaze met by coincidence.

"So, what's you wanna ask. Make it quick. I have other things to do. " As he said that Mr. Lukas places a picture on the table. It was pretty distorted.

"Isn't it that monster you're assigned to? You couldn't catch him right?"

He laughed a bit but then again looked at Mr.Lukas's serious face and stopped.

"So what? You want me to catch him for you?"

"No, I have found him. I need arms."

"It's quite unfortunate that the chief is angry with you and you had to get suspended. Fufu." He chuckled.

"Yeah, that's why I need help. From none other than you. You got it, right? This might be level one. He also has many allies. Probably level two or higher. So, I can't just encounter it alone. I need everything. From ground to air support."

"You're still going to do give up everything for their solo sake of catching that monster?" He made a pitiful expression, "By the way, isn't it too much to ask? If you want I can assign Mia to help you with that."

"It's a big one."

"Is that so, back then you did say the same. Didn't you?"

Mr.Lukas was downcasted.

"F-fine, I need one week to arrange something like that big."

"Make it quick. I don't have time to waste."

"Still rushing like always." He grinned.

I thought Mr.Noah is a heartless man but I was wrong. He was pretty considerate towards Mr.Lukas. Old comrades. This is the first time I saw him like that. I wanted to know what happened years ago. Something that separated the team they created. It's pretty rare for Mr.Lukas to ask for help.

Wait, was that a bluff when he said he found the boy?
