inappropriate to enter a maiden's room

"Helena! Are you sleeping?"

"Who asks a sleeping person if she's sleeping? You have got it hard old man. Don't you?" Helena came out of a room that wasn't hers.

"I see, you're looking good."

"You're manners are all over the place, old man. It's quite inappropriate to enter a maiden's room."

"Well, I didn't yet."

"But you tried to."

"It's been while Helena isn't it? If your mother was alive she would be in sorrow seeing you in such manner."

"If you want to come here to joke around then just live."

"Weren't you asleep?"

"I was but can't be asleep when someone is destroying my house."

Helena didn't appear to get along with him.

"It's good to see you doing fine." It was nothing provoking but for some reason, Helena seemed to be provoked by it.

"Huh? You're now acting as a kind father? Don't make me laugh. How can you say that after abandoning me?"

The man didn't utter anything rather he quietly listened.

"You left your family in miserable and gave yourself to the goddam organization. You never loved us. Not me not mom."

"It might be there but as my daughter, I care for you, Helena. Anyway, why don't you come out of that room? Your room is on this side. Isn't it?"

The man pointed his index finger to the exact opposite direction of the room Helena was standing. In upstairs there are exactly two rooms. One for Helena and the other for Nicolai.

"I changed my room."

"Is that so? But why I'm having a feeling that you're hiding something from me?"

The man shoots diggers from his eyes in the direction of Helena. She smartly defended it but that wasn't the end. The man had seen through everything. He may not look like it but he's cunning as hell. No one could escape from his deadly graze, not even his own daughter.

"Open the room."

"I can't. It's a lady's room. You have no permission to enter." Helena was trying her best to cope with the situation. However, the man wasn't backing off even after hearing her excuse.

"Open it!." This time the man glanced at both of his bodyguards and they understand his gesture.

After giving a slight nod, they went onward but Helena was moving from her designated position. She was locked in her mind.

"I'm not gonna let you pass." Helena had underestimated them. Because of that, they beat her up pretty badly with just a few punches and low kicks. Her power was decreased as Finn. It's a common problem for her species. Age is a matter for them. Not only does it puts a great impact on their flexibility but also their physical strength. The numb body of her was fallen on the floor just like an air balloon that wasn't filled with air.

The man swiftly grabbed her silky hair and began stepping. As he stepped Helena could feel every end of her hair coming off. It was truly painful and forceful since the man kept dragging her with her hair until he reached the room which had Helena was hiding.

It was probably a room for kids as hmm the room was decorated with many kids' toys. The walk was enclosed with lots of drawings. Indeed it was a child's room.

"Where's the human child you guys were hiding? I wouldn't say it again " the man did warn Helena but she didn't even waver a bit. Her determination was on point.

"This is how you treat your daughter ?" Ignoring her saying, the man continued

There wasn't anything that could define it as an adult's room.

"I see, so it was true. It's a child." The man grinned as he successfully deducted the matter.

On the other hand, Nicolai, who was confined in the small box opened the lid a little to get to know what's happening. But to his misfortune, he was seeing something that he shouldn't have. It was his mother who's being held captive by an old man. The man was rather large in size and his belly was pumped as if he ate a whole apple without any bites."

Nicolai was calm the entire time but he couldn't now. His blood boiled seeing the scene of his mother's misery. The gloomy eyes of his mother were making his limbs move on their own. However, his mother had said to him earlier, "Don't leave this box no matter what."

"...mom" unwantedly he uttered.

"Hey kid, can you see this? Come out quickly or she would be dead. Choice fast. I got other things to do." The man said nonchalantly. He was glancing at his watch rapidly. He had used a fine strategy against a human who is driven by emotions. There's no human who wouldn't get angry seeing his loving ones in a bad condition.

Time was ticking and Nicolai has to choose. Would he break the promise he made with his mother? Or would he stay still and watch his loving mother die? What could a four years old child choose?

"What happened next?" Kurama didn't say anything but only nodded while lifting a corner of his mouth. When found something interesting he would grin like that. Well, I can't call it a grin more likely it's a sign of destruction. But it's just a story. So, there's nothing to destroy. It's only he knows.

"Guess it." After some time he said as he straightened out his body. He was seating for a while now. For that reason, his body must have stiffened.

"..hmm," I thought for a while then, "The man found him and killed him with his mother or so…" I wasn't so confident in my reasons but at least I tried. I'm not well skilled other than killing.

Kurama nodded horizontally as if saying "you got it all wrong."

I knew it. I wasn't great with this sort of guessing game.

"Think the other way around. What would you do if you were in his place?" Kurama's grin was getting creeper day by day. I could feel it even standing from a distance.

"I would definitely run away." My answer was straightforward.

"True. Then if I say he did the same." I was thrown away by this.

"Wait! That's impossible. He's a ...human. there's no way that he would abandon his parents for saving his own life. Humans have a self-sacrificing instinct. They would die saving others."

Kurama again faced me with pitiful eyes.

"But he was raised by non-humans."

I just don't get it.
