I’m just a worker

Heck, I just don't like this place. The place reeks of blood. It makes me vomit. Yet I had to work here. Even though I understand the people who dwell here. What they do or will doing has nothing to do with me. Yes, I don't have anything to do with them. I'm just a worker. Worker. Right, worker. As I was setting up my mindset Mr. Alex said began saying something to the person who resembles the devil itself.

"Kamura isn't you became interested in that boy?" Kurama nodded without saying a single word. His expression was stiff as always. I don't why but whenever I look at him, I felt a weird aura coming from him.

"Then why are we not doing anything? Isn't something to do about that?"

I didn't understand what they're talking about nor it make me curious. I was mopping the floor that had never-ending dirt. No matter how many times I clean it, it never got clean. On the contrary, it seemed like it was constructed with this much filth.

"I had already made my moves, So Young," Kurama said to Mr. Alex but he didn't seem to understand anything.

"huh? Is that so?" he looked rather surprised. I didn't have to do anything to their conversation but I couldn't help but overhear them.

"But what move?" Unable to grasp the meaning, Mr. Alex said out loud.

Kurama made a deep sigh and spoke out.

"Nicolai."

"What? That brat!" Mr. Alex seemed to have some unexpected past with him. I don't who that dude is nor that I have seen him.

"Do you still want to trust that brat, after all, he did to us?" said Mr. Alex loudly with a fist of anger. He looked as if he had a not pleasant moment with Nicolai. I could feel his wrath from this distance. The tense looks on his face didn't do anything to Kurama. He didn't seem to waver at all. His calm and composed posture, resting his chin on his right hand made it look like he was the leader. The leader has to be composed in all situations.

I felt guilty hearing this conversation. Well, they don't have any secrets in them as they didn't fear killing. I remembered when Mr. Alex told me,

"Don't get yourselves killed by unrevealing the information, Ken. I don't like unnecessary killings."

"I know that well enough," Kurama said sluggishly.

"Then why?"

"He's a capable person, So young." You know him, right? After all, you were his partner for a long.

"yea' I know that.." Mr. Alex seemed to back up a little. "He's is something else." Now, that got me curious. Who exactly is that dude? I want to see him now.

"He betrayed you… don't he?"

"Betray you say? Yeah, he did." Kurama's face was as if he didn't give it a crap.

"I want to test that boy. The one who has the system."

"Test?"

"I want to see that creation that would be our future. How powerful has it become."

"So that's the case." Mr. Alex said quietly.

"I have spent two weeks getting him. I have ordered him to do a simple task. To kill that boy."

"So, you're the main goal is to bring that system?"

"No, my goal has changed drastically. That boy actually helps us. He saved more work for me. Even if I'd the system with me, I would have to find a person who would compatible with the system. That would be a hassle to me." Kurama grinned. His eyes were getting red. I-I don't want to look at that. Scary!

"Oh, I haven't seen that woman nowhere?"

"I don't know that. Might be wondering outside." Suddenly Kurama felt disinterested in the conversation.

"But I have a confusion. If you want to test the boy then you could go yourself? That would be more appropriate. Don't it?"

"I suppose so. But that wouldn't be fun to see. If your opponent is overpowered, that would be a one-sided battle. I want a fair fight."

"you call it fair?"

Kurama continued, "think the other way, you have to kill the small fries first then you can enter the boss fight."

Did he play too many video games? I felt like he did. He knows how to raid a dungeon.

"I see. But I don't trust that brat Nicolai." Mr. Alex was right on his point.

"I'm the leader here. Don't forget that!" Kurama was enraged out of nowhere.

However, Mr. Alex didn't chicken out. He stood still like a statue.

"This is my kingdom. I would do what I want. You have to follow my decision, No matter what is it. If I told you to die then die!"

Mr. Alex stood still not answering whatsoever.

Then again. Kurama sat on his throne. He regained his composer.

I couldn't understand the system part. Is it the same system genre novel? That would be hilarious! Why would they fight over a novel? They aren't some middle schoolers who would save their entire week's pocket money to buy a novel. That would be absurd. I was about to finish my cleaning. What's left is that bloody room. Hell, I don't want to go to that room. It would be enclosed with blood like every time. Every time I went there to clean, I see blood mass. I don't know why they had to kill people every single day. I wasn't interested in it in the slightest. I unlocked the door and let myself in. I grabbed my mouth with my hand hurriedly as I would be vomiting the moment seeing it.

"huh?" I was surprised to see that the room wasn't bloody today. It was so clean that, my eyes couldn't bear it. The floor was reflecting intense sunlight that was coming from the window.

"This is surprising." I felt joy that I don't have to go to the trouble of cleaning it. Today I would be heading more a lot earlier. At this rate, I would be able to finish the anime I left off in the morning. Jumping with joy I closed the door and began heading back.
