A Promise That Needs To Be Fulfilled [2]

"What Diary? Spell it out loud!" Mr. Lukas seemed to be motivated by those words. This is when I can't define who the real monster is? Is it Mr. Lukas whose eyes are breaming?

"the diary Kurama wants…"

He averted his eyes from the ground to Mr.Lukas. He was looking straight into his eyes. Without blinking for a second he said,

"The diary… He wants….The diary that will change the future for us." He was struggling hard to talk. Properly because of the agony Mr. Lukas caused.

"Change the future? A dairy can change the future?" I spoke out in instinct.

Renar nodded in admiration. "Where is it now?" Mr. Lukas said in curiosity.

Huh? He believed him. That's Bullsh*t. That's definitely a lie.

"I… can't…tell..you"

"huh?"

"Because… there's Kurama's people here. If I told...you, I would die in no time." Said Renar, fear in his eyes.

"Mr. Lukas or I wouldn't do such a thing. Just tell us." I argued.

"fine… then… I hid it in the downtown."

"Down town?" the conversation now transferred from Mr. Lukas to me.

"It's… It's… in the junkyard near the convenience store." He said in a depressing voice.

"Thanks for the info. But I still don't get how a diary can change anyone's future."

He didn't clear out Mr. Lukas's doubt. We left the cell and told the guard to give him some food as he was starving for two days. We are not like them; we got our humanity. I was kind of happy that I might get praised by him for doing so well in negotiation. But he told me the complete opposite of what I expected.

"You fall for his tricks again Reyes." Mr. Lukas mocked me.

"huh? But..How?"

"The first thing first, why do you think he told us such important facts and betray his leader?" Mr. Lukas said out to me.

"Be-because of not being able to endure much of the pain?" I replied from my small brain,

"You're absolutely, definitely, obviously, and undeniably wrong."

"You don't have to use so many words."

"He might have doubted that his leader might have abandoned him recently. If we think out of your logic, then he could have told us a long ago. The level of pain is the same as the first of the torture. To specifically said, I was doing giving him less pain in those earlier days."

"So, sir you're saying that he didn't confess out of the exaggerating pain rather, but for not getting any attention from his leader, Kurama," I spoke, trying to understand.

Mr. Lukas nodded in affirmative.

"If that's the case, he might have got some hint. From who? A person Perhaps?"

"But it is impossible for a fourth wand prisoner to meet with outsiders."

"right but in normal cases. What if a higher officer permitted it, then there wouldn't be any problem in visiting him." Mr. Lukas explained to me.

I couldn't help but dumbfoundedly scratched my head in admiration for him.

"Please… Save….me…I don't want to die….Jodan…Please." I was seeing none other than Jessica in her teary state. She undoubtedly was crying and asking for help. She was looking at me in search getting aid from me. But I was just standing there idle while glazing at her. She offered her bloody hands to hold me.

I desperately attempted to get her hand but I couldn't reach her. I have pulled away from her as I pushed onward. My locked sights were getting blurred again and again. I felt like something or perhaps someone was embracing me from behind. I could feel the warmth of a person. Indeed, it was an entity. As soon I eyed backward to grasp the person. I was no one but the one I wasn't expected to meet. It was someone that I didn't like. It was someone that I was afraid to meet.

"Jodan, My…Son…Are you going to leave me?... After all, you did you didn't find yourself guilty?"

I throbbed crazily as if I saw the grim ripper himself.

"You are sweating a lot dear…. Don't be wary…. Mama would wipe it off."

I couldn't help but be astounded. "Aren't… you in …coma? I shuttered badly while asking.

"What coma? I was in a coma? How? How did I get in a coma?"

She started throwing me questions out of nowhere. She pushed herself onto me as she asked me.

I was lacking back was about to reach a corner of the white room that I didn't know where it started.

"Answer me Jodan? Why was I in a coma? Was it because of you? Was it because I was a bad mom? Did I fall from the stairs? Come one answer me? Answer me?" She continued arguing.

"Because…I….I…..I…"

<Slam!!>

A large piece of meat slammed on my face, making me wake up from my dream.

"I…! whoah!!" I freaked out and stood my head up.

"Wake up, Jodan. This isn't time to slack off. Today is a busy day. Why did you get so comfortable that you began sleeping soundly? Was it because of less work? Then from now on, I would give you more work than usual. Now, Now, Hurry back." Kelan didn't give me any chance to talk back. As a result, I went to the restroom to fresh up. After doing my business there, I washed my drooping face with water coming down from the sink.

What was that dream? I was truly terrific in there. I just can't get that out of my head. A nightmare is something that I hardly had. But this time I had one with a thriller inside. And the worst case is that I had to see Jessica in such a bad position. She was covered with blood and then….

<Whooosh> A wind blows off from me. I could feel someone entered the restroom. He was someone that I hardly knew about. Without giving much attention to him, I went back to my work. For the time being, I should give Jessica a message, she would get angry if I make her wait. I Massaged her

"Sorry, Jessica. I would be late due to heavy workload."

The message was sent. In an instant, a reply came. Did she even read my message?

The reply was short but significant. "' Kay, See you in the evening. If you find any Psychopath on the way bring it to me"

I smiled while thinking, "This is just like her."

"Ah(Sigh) gotta hurry things," said while grabbing the big chunk of meat to cut.

slacking between a job? that's not good Jodan. :)
