6 Through Alexander's Eyes POV

Standing in the middle of the garden, the flowers were in full blossom. The aromas of the floral scents flooded my nose and for some reason, I felt completely at ease. Letting out a soft sigh, I soon heard the front door of the Blood Moon pack's house open. It had a slight creak, when it opened and closed. Noticeable to those who always rely on their werewolf abilities. I trusted very few people in my life and with reason of course. My life is not quite as simple as it may be.

Listening to the sound of gravel crunching and moving underneath another's shoes, or rather heels. The wind blew slightly, and that's when I fully caught her scent. The warm smell of honey, with a hint of floral essence underneath. It overwhelmed my senses and something tugged at my heart. It wasn't until now, that I realized I shouldn't have offered her up on a platter to others. Turning around, I noticed her stop at a distance. Furrowing my brow, I looked at her with questioning eyes. "Is something the matter little wolf?" I questioned lightly, with a deep seductive voice. I wanted to draw her in, to show her the world without strings attached and without contracts. Seeing her hesitate for a moment, she gently spoke up, "It's nothing...I was just thinking about how you and I only just met. And I already know how you feel about me." her cheeks turned red slightly, as she rubbed the back of her neck. Her face was slim. Her beautiful red hair, accented her slim face. Her cheekbones were perfect height, and had a light red hue to it. And her eyes, magnificent and different than I had ever seen. One was bluish green, while the other was brown. I had heard the term before, and seen pictures, but never had I seen it in person. Heterochromia. So unique. So beautiful. As if I hadn't noticed, she did. I was completely staring at her.

"A...Alexander?" Alexi spoke with a shy tone behind her voice. "Sorry, I couldn't help, but admire your beauty for a moment." I spoke quickly, but truthfully. I was admiring her, and she noticed. I felt completely embarrassed and even so I told her I was. Blushing a dark shade of red, I began to rub the back of my neck. "Oh...Thank you." the words rolled off her tongue so sweetly. It was like honey straight from the honeycomb, sending chills down my spine as they flowed through my ears. "So, Alexi, what did Elder Rosebude have to say? She's too wise for her own good sometimes." I admitted to her, knowing more about the elder than I should. "She told me, I would make a great alpha and luna one day. She also spoke of my inner wolf and the ancient texts." I heard her speak lightly. Turning to face her, I noticed she was looking off in the distance as if there was something she was thinking about at that moment.

"Not many people know the ancient texts anymore. It's customary for us purebloods to know the texts. We are getting rare by the moment and soon, we will be overtaken by mutts." I told her and then looked away. Scoffing to myself, I couldn't help but notice my own left eye twitching. 'Calm down Alexander. We mustn't show anger around our potential mate. Don't want to scare her now.' Lucius spoke with a gentle tone in the back of my head. 'You're right. After this week is up, we have a lot of work to catch up on.' I told him, and accidentally externally signed. It had been quiet for a moment, between the both of us. "Are you alright?" I could hear her voice make its way through my ears. Sending more chills ran down my spine. Turning to see her beautiful eyes looking at me with a gentle questioning look to them. "I am fine. I just got caught up in my head. N...No worries." I told her, then rubbed the back of my neck once again. 'Why am I being so awkward around her? I've never been this way in front of other women before.' I thought, then looked around the garden with light eyes. "The garden is beautiful." I said, trying to finally make conversation again. I didn't know why I was so nervous around her, but the presence she held was so magnificent, I wanted more.

"You think? It took a few years to get it looking this way. My mother and I put so much work into it, but it was all well worth it." Alexi spoke, her voice had a hint of pride behind it. She seemed to perk up when the garden was mentioned. She did seem to like the outdoors a lot. I could see that it brought her a sort of comfort. 'Take note Lucius. We must fix the garden before she comes home. Remind me to call a gardener tomorrow morning.' I thought to my inner wolf, though he didn't reply at all. He was a wolf of little words, but I could sense the emotions he gave off as if replying in a different way. We may have known each other for a little over five years now, but it felt like we've known each other for forever. I then turned towards Alexi and cleared my throat. "I know your birthday party will start soon, but I want you to know, before I make my offer in front of witnesses. I will never harm you or your family. I will love you until my last breath and even into the next life. I will not rush your feelings for me, but rather I want you to grow into them, to love me unconditionally like you do with your parents and pack." I told her without hesitation. Lucius was feeling the same emotion as I, we both wanted her and her inner wolf to be ours.

As if she were stunned by what I said, Alexi turned away. Only when I heard her sniff as if she were crying, she turned around. Tears were streaming down her cheeks and her eyes were more precious than anything. Placing my hand on her shoulder without a word, I pulled her into my embrace. Letting her cry was the best thing for her, the events that had transpired recently must have been taking their toll emotionally on her. My blood boiled when I thought about Justin. 'He was the one that ruined my family not long ago. He was the one that threw my life into the hell it is and now he's trying to take an innocent by threatening and harming others. I will ruin him.' My thoughts screamed as I could hear Alexi, still crying in my chest. Placing one hand on her head, I gently stroked her hair and the other was still holding her in my embrace. Trying to find a way to soothe her, I spoke softly, "Come now little wolf, this isn't how you should be seen on your birthday."

"I...I k...know but what you said..." She began to say and then looked up at me. Her tears seemed to stop and I could see the smile in her eyes. "Did I say something wrong? Scold me if I did." I replied to what she said. Releasing her lightly, I placed my hands on her shoulders and looked into her beautiful multi-colored eyes. "You said nothing wrong." Alexi spoke with a gentle tone. Her eyes were glistening as the sun was just about to set. She had a pink hue to her cheeks and seemed to be holding back more. "Then what is it?" I questioned, slightly nervous about why she was crying. As she stood there for a moment, she giggled sweetly and looked around before turning her stunning gaze back to look at me. Our eyes met as she smiled shyly. "Nobody's ever said anything like that to me. It just made me happy and I really couldn't control my emotions." She told me as she placed a gentle hand on my chest. Letting out a sigh of relief, I placed a hand on her head and patted it lightly, I spoke with a soft tone, "You'll always hear something like that come from my mouth. Especially when you deserve to hear it."

Off in the distance, I could hear people calling for Alexi. Pulling my hand away and putting some distance between us, I turned around to see Hazel rounding the corner of the house. "Alexi! Your mom needs some help. We've been looking all over for you." She called out to her friend as she rushed over. "Oh, alright. I will see you later, Alexander." Alexi spoke as Hazel began to drag her away. Watching her leave my sights, I sighed lightly. Turning around I headed for the house, I needed to speak with Alexi's father. Urgent matters needed to be discussed and I needed more information on Justin and more than I already had.
