7 7. Alfred

Ajay quickly cleaned the room and arranged the things in an organised manner. Then he went to the bathroom to take a shower. His body was covered with dust and sweat.

He wore the clothes brought from the other world. A light yellow half-sleeved T-shirt and brown coloured trouser type lower.

"The clothes are very light and comfortable. It feels like I didn't wear anything. It feels awkward. The material is very superior and stretchable."

Then Ajay went downstairs to check on his parents.

"Looks like no one has come yet. Let's check the things I brought."

Ajay went back to his room. He locked his room to be on the safe side. First, he connected the charger to the watch.

After ten minutes, he disconnected the watch and switch on the watch. In the showroom, there were many types of AI devices but Watch was the easiest thing to carry and hide the technology from the world. In appearance, it just looks like a smartwatch and to properly hide Ajay took the watch similar to the present smartwatches.

The watch was switched on. This time no holographic projection came. First, there was to scan the fingerprint, then voice recognition and lastly eye scan. Then the option to select the avatar of holographic projection came. Ajay selected an avatar of around 25 years old looking woman.

The avatar was very beautiful. She wasn't slim or fat, but just right. The face was melon-shaped fair and beautiful.

After selecting an avatar. It required to name it.

"Hmm"

"Let's name it Alice. No name is coming to my mind." After thinking for a few minutes when he could not think of any good name, he simply named it Alice from a previous watch. But he will not admit that he was lazy.

"Will it be the case with advance Artificial intelligence?"

<Yes, it is applied to all things.>

"OK, then if I start that robot over there and scan all the requirements, then he will obey my all orders?"

<Yes sir, He will obey your all orders except an order of attacking other humans. But it will defend the owner in case of attack by other humans.>

"Well that's good. Let's charge the robot."

Ajay went towards the robot. The robot was exactly looking like a 35 to 40 year old man. There were crow feet on the side of his eyes showing his age. There was a nicely trimmed beard and moustaches like the 90s. The robot wore a standard black butler suit.

Ajay connected the one end of the charger to the plug and went behind the robot. He found the charging slot on the neck slightly hidden in the collar and connect the charger. A red led light lit up beside the charger slot and beside the led light a 2-inch long and 1-inch wide display was switched on.

It showed the battery percentage which displayed 1%.

"Alice, how much battery percentage is required to start the robot?"

<Sir, the minimum battery percentage required is 10% and it will require around 10 minutes to charge 10%>

Ajay nodded. He waited for 30 minutes to remove the charger. The battery percentage reached 30%. Ajay switched on the robot and took a step back to see its movement.

The robot slightly opened its eyes, and then looked around. It stopped looking around when it saw Ajay standing. It bent over slightly and then slowly stood up. Then it slightly bent forward and opened his mouth to speak. A middle-aged person's voice came from his mouth but it was pleasant to hear.

<Hello sir, Are you my owner?>

"Hmm.., Yes I am the owner." Ajay was slightly stunned. As he knew that it was a robot but still it felt like a real human and he saw a first fully functional robot for the first time.

<Please scan your fingerprint, voice and eye.>

"OK, where should I scan?"

<Here sir.> The robot turned around and brought the collar slight down showing the display. And on the display shows a fingerprint mark.

Ajay went forward and put his thumb on the fingerprint mark then scanned his voice and lastly his eye.

<Thank you, sir, Can you give me a name?>

Ajay felt slight discomfort. Then he thought for a few minutes.

'Hmm, Buttler were mainly used in UK. Let's name it Alfred. I don't where I heard it maybe in some movie but it sounds good.' Ajay nodded in satisfaction.

"Let's call you Alfred. How about it?"

<Thank you, sir.> Alfred slightly bent forward to show his respect.

<Click>

Suddenly a lock opening sound came from downstairs.

'Looks like my parents came. Let's go downstairs.' Ajay turned over towards Alfred.

"Alfred, Charge your battery to 100% percent. and do not make any sound. I will go downstairs."

<Yes sir> Afterwards Alfred moved and picked a chair and placed it near the switchboard. Then he connected one side of the charger to its charger slot and sat on the charger and closed his eyes.
