Chapter 69

 Who else is he helping there? Could they have been the traitors and what happened had nothing to do with me? I almost forgot! I facepalmed myself because I was so foolish, I had been with him for a while now and forgot to ask him if he had anything to do with Buna's punishment,

"Hey" I called out to him softly since he had his back to me, I was tired of shouting and fighting with him, we could work it out like grown-ups even if he does not behave like one. He turned to face me and arched his brows at me,

" What happened to Buna, was it because of me?" The only thing I wanted was for him to be frank with me, it is not like we can change what had already happened 

"Partially yes but it was not just because of you" I waited for him to explain but he ended it there. Now I know that getting information from this man is like pulling teeth, how can you say something like that and not continue on, since we were playing this the hard way, he did not know what he was getting himself into,

"What do you mean by partially for me and not for me, please explain to me," I said softly, I walked to him, and placed my hands on his. He looked up at me shocked, I made sure my expression was pure and open with my eyes a bit wider than normal,

I was getting this information out of him one way or another, I had to go through the soft approach first but if it does not work, I had a plan b set up. I blinked a lot to make my eyes become watery, I could tell it was working because he immediately turned towards me and had me sit on the desk.

"We had already gotten information that he took over from Theresa, we were not going to bother ourselves with the internal issue of your people as long as it does not affect your duties" I had no idea that the tears were running down my eyes till he wiped them off, I raised my head up to look at him, well the tears seemed to pull him in to continue, so it was for my benefit

" Then we got news of how he was ruling and what he was saying, we knew if we did not do something then, he was going to instigate an uprising which will not be beneficial to any of the parties involved. I had already heard of what happened in our absence in the minefield but was shocked when I realized he did it to you, that was what made me head the group assigned to take him down a notch" I was overwhelmed with everything he just said now. He was so open with me and it shocked me, I guess the tears were not a waste. Just joking.
