Chapter 216

My head aches and all part of my body through. It was as if I was run over by one of the Master's vehicle. I dare not move my body any further than necessary and I was unable to pry my eyes open. All attempts made by me to do so led to me closing as fast as I attempted to open it. Where I was was noisy, it made me know that I was not the only one there and I was not with Naki. I knew this because there was no way that just Naki alone would be able to make such boisterous noise that was emanating from here and they were the voice of men who were probably having a very good time. I was disoriented, how come I was still alive? and how did I end up here, most importantly, where was Naki?. Since I did not know where I was and those that were around me, I tried to make my movement as subtle as possible so as not to alert them to the fact that I was awake, maybe I would be able to get more information on them and if possible run away before they finally figure it out,

After a while of trying and failing, I was finally able to pop my eyes open but not without some pain attached to it. My eyes were blurry and filled with tears from the effort used to pry it open, I could not see clearly despite how much I tried to focus or concentrate, everywhere was dark. I tried to figure out if it was dusk already or my eyes were playing tricks on me. After a while, of lying down in that position blinking my eyes rapidly to clear it up, tears rolled down the sides of my eyes. It hurt so bad, keeping it open wasa very big pain for me. It took a whole lot of effort for me to attempt to raise my hands up. It felt as if it was no longer an extension of my body, it refused to respond despite how much I willed it to. I was becoming frustrated because if I could wipe my eyes a bit, surely I would have a better vision although it may not be the way it was at first, but for now I was willing to accept whatever it was willing to give.

I decided to try one more time, but this time around I used my right hand instead, trying to lift it up felt like I had run for miles, I was panting already and it was only at 90 degree, still some distance away from my face. I almost let it back down but I knew it would cost me more pain to get it back to this level, I took some deep breath to center myself. Then to make it faster, I held my breath and pushed through the pain until the hands l was on my face.
