44 Relief

We entered the final floor of the tower and it was a lot different then either of us expected. Depressing as all hell but yet here we were but something was different about Rina.

Something about this floor was making her sad and I didn't know what it was exactly but I'll help in any way that I can. She doesn't have to do all of this on her own.

"I don't know what we need to do here." Rina says while looking around.

"We'll figure it out together." I reply while thinking.

These floors are always different or at least that's what I learned from each one that we've been on so far. I'm not entirely sure what to make of it yet but this floor might be trying to connect with Rina possibly.

If it really was built for people like her then it's entirely possible that it wants her to remember her past or something.

"I think I know." Rina says while wiping her eyes.

"What?" I question while curious.

"Just stand back and wait." Rina responds while walking forward.

I did exactly as she said and waited to see what she'd do next. That's when I realized everything in the room began to shake as she stood there with her eyes closed.

Did she really figure out what she needs to do?

Then after a few minutes everything had stopped and a door opened once more.

"We're good to move forward." Rina says while beginning to walk.

I won't ask her about it right now, but later on I'll definitely have to see if she'll share with me about what just happened.

"Okay." I reply while following behind her.

As we went through the door everything began to change once more but then something new happened. A statue appeared and had some sort of strange engravings on it.

"What's it say Rina?" I question while staring at the engravings.

"Open your heart and leave behind your past." Rina answers while crossing her arms.

Hmm. This doesn't seem like that hard of a thing to do, but what will happen upon completion of this floor?

"Guess that's not too hard." I say while moving back to my thoughts.

So we both did as the engraving had said but then a huge light began to emit from a room ahead of us. This would hopefully help in getting Rina back to her full power.

"Ahead we go." Rina says while grabbing my hand.

As we entered the room I could feel a strange energy going throughout my body but I didn't really know what to make of it. But that's when everything around us began to disappear as we appeared back outside the tower.

I don't even know what to think about with what just happened.

"Kamako, my power is back." Rina says while looking down at her hands.

"That's a relief." I reply with a relieved tone.

That was the whole point of the tower so I'm glad it worked out. But now I'm curious if we'll even be able to get back to the others.

I'm not even sure I know what happened or if everything was stopped in the first place since I woke up here.

"Are you ready to get out of here?" Rina asks while standing before me.

"Yeah." I respond while taking one last look around.

I can't believe I woke up in a place like this where I was already seen as a hero, I'll always remember this place existed. Or the me who was here?

Good luck to this world. I then took Rina's hand as a huge purple aura began to engulf us as everything slowly began to change. It was finally time to head back to my own world after being gone for however long I was gone.

Fwoosh!!

Within moments we had appeared back in what seemed to be the sanctuary from before. This should be where everyone is, but I'm not entirely sure right now.

"Did you guys hear that?" A familiar voice asks.

Someone seems to have heard us but I wonder who it was?

Then I saw everyone slowly entering the room again, everyone was still here. But was Irie here too?

"Holy shit, Kamako you're alive." Leo says while entering the room.

That's when I could hear someone running towards me immediately until I felt a warm embrace. It had been awhile since I truly felt something like this since I didn't experience much since waking up in that world.

"I'm so happy you're alive. I was so worried about you Kamako." Irie says while hugging me.

Irie, the girl that started this all. The succubus who awakened the power within me from the start of this whole thing.

"Me too, but it's thanks to Rina that we made it back here." I say while hugging Irie back.

"It wasn't a big deal but I'm glad to see all of you in good health." Rina speaks up with a cheerful tone in her voice.

It seems she isn't to focused on the last part of that tower so that's a good thing. I'm still going to talk to her more about it later on.

But after a few more moments of hugging Irie, we all took a seat in the meeting room. There was a lot for everyone to catch up on, myself included.

"Is the world saved?" I ask while looking towards Leo.

"I don't know what you did Kamako, but yes it's saved." Leo answers with a surprised tone.

"The demon lord has also vanished off the radar completely." Irie chimes in.

I'm curious if he'll return though, he seemed rather persistent in his goal to destroy the world. Or making into another hell?

It's quite unclear what he truly plans to do to the world but that relic was definitely screwing up everything when he used it.

Wait, something is off still. Why haven't I heard from Zara at all.
