Ch. 4 I Didn't Sign Up For This

'This can't be happening!!' I think as we take a few more steps into my new dorm.

All I can see are 3 boys and no girls.

Panicked, I turn left and right to see if there are any girls.

I asked quietly and as calmly as I could, "Um, where are the rest of the girls..? "

A guy with burgundy hair (yes burgundy, but a little more on the brown side), steps forward and says, "Sorry kitty, only us. "

'Kitty??😑 ' I think as he said that.

Without thinking, I say the word out loud.

He said, "Yeah, since you're the only girl at this school, might as well come up with a little nickname for you😉. "

That wink made me flush a little. Then I thought, 'But what did he say about being the only-WAIT WHAT?! '

I don't know why, but Siah looked down at me and had a angry expression on his face and then looked back at the burgundy-haired guy as he said, "Stop it, Kath."

He ignored him and said casually, "Oh sorry. I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Kathei Ambrose, one of your dorm mates this year."

"Oh uh, I'm Ilianna Gillie. " I said, and then, as calmly as possible, I asked, "What did you say about being the only, uh, what? "

"You're the only girl. Meaning everyone else are guys. Didn't ol' Dikeson tell you already? "

I assumed that "Dikeson"was the director because he had a guilty and saddened expression on his face.

As I turned to him, his expression changed to panick, he tried to explain himself, " I was gonna tell you after you met your Homeroom teacher, but when I got back, Siah was carrying you to the infirmary and I didn't kno-"

"It's fine!" I said cheerfully. "Where's my room at? " I tried to say nonchalantly, but deep down, I was still confused.

Another guy with bleach-blonde hair said happily, "I'll take you to it. It's right across from mine. "

When we got there I thanked him, closed the door, and plopped down on my bed. 'This is a lot to take in. ' I thought.
