14 Chapter 14 The Flamehart , And Miles first day in town

" Hmmm ...am sorry for breaking it and if it is possible I will pay it back when I have enough money" , Miles said.

" Mam I think their is something you need to know before you make a decision", Mabel stated.

"What you want to tell me how he mistakenly broke it will goofing around" , Eleanor yelled banging on her desk.

"No ma it broke will evaluating his magic essence" , Mabel said.

"But that hasn't happened before and that will mean" , Eleanor calmed down finally realising what Mabel meant.

" Its okay young man you can go you didn't break it out of your stupidity so you don't need to pay for it , you can leaves us now" , Eleanor said .

Miles left the guild master office after the weight of the burden has been removed from his chest leaving the two women alone.

" What exactly happened " , Eleanor asked Mabel.

"He has affinity to all 4 basic magic element " , Mabel said .

' How is that possible it is almost very rare to have dual affinity , but he has affinity with all magic element,a diamond in the rough just fell on my laps I have to tie him to the guild ' Mabel thought.

"And what is his rank".

"He is almost a B rank ,warrior ", Mabel said.

"He has a lot of potential, since he has great affinity with Mana place him in B rank and make sure to put an eye on him" , Eleanor said.

"Yes mam ", Mabel said and left the office.

Back down stairs Lilly was waiting patiently for Miles to return when she saw him coming towards her.

" You sure spent a lot of time , well did it work ? , can you use magic" ?Lilly asked.

"Yes" .

"Well why did you take so long" , Lilly asked.

" Well I broke the crystal during the evaluation and I got sent to meet the guild master but everything is resolved now".

"So you have meet the guild master on your first day , not many adventurers get to meet her" .

"Why is that is she that important" ? Miles asked.

" She is a member of one of the three leading noble families in the kingdom the Flamehart, She is the reason why her family have so much power , the other noble families are afraid of touching the flamehart because of her she is one of the few S rank adventurers , even other guilds her afraid of our guild because of her deadly Fire magic bringing fiery judgment where ever she goes , they call her the Flame Empress", Lilly explained.

'So she is an S rank adventurer no wonder her Might was so high , will I ever be that powerful?' Miles thought .

"Anyways now that you have gotten your evaluation done you will receive your adventure batch".

"What's that"? .

"It's like an ID card for adventurers , it shows your rank and which guild you belong to".

" So now what do you want to do ? Do you have anywhere to spend the night" ? , Lilly asked .

"Well I was thinking of renting an inn to sleep in for the night".

"But inns are really expensive in the city only adventurers use them" .

"Well I guess I can't afford it with my pocket money , I am officially screwed" , Miles thought.

"Why don't you stay with me until you get your own place" , Lilly said starting to blush.

"Wait ... what no am sorry I will really hate to intrude on your privacy and besides you are a girl and am a guy ", Miles said trying to keep is cool.

" Do you have a thing against living with girls" .

"No I don't".

"Then you can stay with me , Besides I see you as my junior brother" , Lilly said tying to hide are now Flustered face.

"But first before we go let's get something to eat" , Lilly said.

Lilly took Miles around the city to show him around , while walking they caught the attention of many people who thought they were a couple , The boys cursed Miles for dating such a beautiful girl and the girls couldn't help but wish they were the one in Lilly's spot . Will Miles was just trying to stay away from the death glares he received from the men without their claim being right , not that it could be helped , even though Lilly was older than Miles He was still a head taller than her and the way she treated him made it seem like they were dating.

"So which restaurant do you want to eat in" , Lilly said while holding Miles hand.

"Hmm... Lilly I think maybe we should stop holding hands people are getting the wrong idea about us", Miles complained.

"I don't care what they say I told you I see you as my junior brother so it is okay if I hold your hand", Lilly said turning her face to the side so Miles won't notice her blushing cheeks .

"So tell me where you want to eat".

"Well why don't we go to that restaurant by the guild where they sell steak" , Miles said.

So the two love bir... I mean colleague went to get a grub while receiving stares from all and sundry.

After having a nice steak the two coupl... I mean colleague decided to head home for the night.

"Well this is my humble home", Lilly said as she pointed to a two story building.

They both entered inside and Miles couldn't help but take in the view , it wasn't as big or as stylish as the guild hall but it was still bigger than any building in Miles village even the chief house, it was spacious for a home of just one person and painted with white and blue with a simple design and a few other decoration , the first floor was where the parlour and kitchen where while the second floor was where the two rooms where, Miles was shown to his room while Lilly went to her room.

After the long days journey Miles layed on his bed and immediately fell asleep when he slept on the bed.
