Chapter 13. Magic Awakening

Mabel was shocked as she double checked the results of the evaluation device, the device was meant for new adventurers who mostly would have low might, Even Lilly was surprised the evaluation result was all though not quiet their was close to an early B rank warrior she had expected him to be a rank c at most since even she was a rank D she didn't know he was going to be this strong.

" So is it a good number" , Miles asked confused.

" Yes it will seem you are almost as strong as a B ranked hunter" , Mabel said .

" Miles having no idea how adventurers where ranked had a confused look on his face" , Lilly seeing this decided to shed some light on it for him.

"Let me explain , adventurers are ranked into ten ranks. Rank F,E,D,C,B,A and rank S then from their we have Legendary rank , Mythical rank and Divine rank , The adventurers under rank F to D are called Explorers and mostly just go on exploration quest to discover new dungeons and hidden settlements they can also go on low difficulty quest."

"While the adventurers from rank C to S are called Raiders and as the name implies they go on dungeon raids , hardcore quest , and High ranked Monster hunt" .

"The legendary ranked are not more than two in our very kingdom , they are the leaders and are regarded as a kingdoms back bone , our king is a Legendary ranked being as well as the grand advisor of the king , when a hunter break past the S ranked they gain unbelievable power enough to be able to level a city , they are given quest directly from the King himself".

" They are only three Mythical ranked being in the whole Seven continent and they are strong enough to overpower a whole kingdom if they wanted to , but they are paid heavily and treated well by all the kingdoms to keep them in check , they only get called when the fate of humanity is at stake , Although in the last war the third kingdom war they were used for war by their kingdom and it was after killing almost everyone that the war finally ended , and a treaty was signed by all the kingdoms to stop the war".

" And finally the Divine ranked they are no divined ranked beings at the moment, but it is said heroes the who took part a thousand years ago during the fight against the Demon race where divine beings, but since the great Demon war there have been no recorded cases of heroes".

"And that's how the ranking system works", Lilly said.

" Divine rank , since I am a hero does this mean I will reach the Divine rank eventually.' Miles thought.

'Well since that have been taking care of its time for the awakening process", Mabel said.

"What is an awakening process" ? ; Miles asked.

" Well its kind of like a way to kick start all the magic essence in your body , and to know which element you have affinity towards, most adventurers are not able to unlock it , their body just don't produce Magic essence" , Mabel explained.

'Yes am finally going to unlock my mana.' , Miles thought.

"Take Lilly for instance she have affinity for a rare kind of magic, healing magic , healers as we call them are rare as can be and are very valuable to a guild , chances of an adventurer having a single magic affinity is 1 out of 20 while chances of them having dual affinity is a hundred of that , while chances of an adventurer unlocking a rare affinity is ten thousand to one.".

Hearing this Miles couldn't help but view Lilly in a different light .

After explaining Mabel took Miles to a core area of the Guild hall , Lilly was asked to wait outside while only Miles and Mabel went in, it was nothing special just a dark room but in the middle of the room there was a strange crsytal which seemed to be made of nothing but glass and it was shaped like an egg , it roughly resembled a giant ruby the size of an average human .

"Place your hand on the stone and if it glows it means you have Magic essence inside you and it will activate it and tell us how powerful it is , but if you don't have it , it will not glow", Mabel explained.

Miles moved closer to the rock like object and placed his hand on it.

Suddenly the orb started to turn from red to green , from Green it changed to blue from blue to brown , The four colours shined bright , it shined so bright Miles thought he was going to go blind , then the rock started to crack until everything shattered, and at the top of the rock the result had come out and it read .

At this time Miles was bombarded with notification after notification to notice the result .

Immediately Mabel saw the crystal break into a thousand pieces she didn't know what she was going to tell the guild leader since it has never happened before and the crystal was very expensive , not only did the crystal break but it also showed that Miles had affinity to all a four basic element his affinity to magic was simply amazing .

While Miles couldn't help but smile as he was finally able to use his MANA stat he has been wandering why he couldn't use it but now he could use it and it was related to magic, he had heard tales of Famous adventurers who could use magic he never thought he will one day use it , but there was one problem he had broken something that looked really valuable and if he was told to pay for it he didn't have the money at the moment to pay it back.

"Hmmm am I in trouble for breaking the device" , Miles asked.

"Well we have to pay a visit to the guild master to find out " Mabel said.

Thinking of a guild master Miles imagined the image of a fierce man with a lot of battle scars but reality proved him wrong.

Mabel took Miles up into the top most level on the third floor of the building , the first floor was the reception and were low rank quest were pasted , the second floor was where the high ranked difficulty quest where while the third floor was for the insanely difficult quest and where the guild master's office was, they were guards with armour guarding the stairs to the next floor making sure no adventurers goes pass there rank and take an impossible to complete task that may get them killed.

The guild master's office was decorated with different items , weapon , armour and ornaments and furnished with style .

The guild master was surprisingly a woman with a beautiful face and an endowed body , even though she was sitting down Miles couldn't help but admire her, she had long flaming hair with a pure white skin.

"Am sorry too disturb you mam but I have a report to make", Mabel said.

"Well what do you have for me Mabel ", The guild master asked.

" its about the Magical crystal , Hmm it broke during evaluating an adventurer " , Mabel said.

"What how is that possible" ? , The guild master asked with a perplexed look.

That was when Miles moved from Mabel's back to stand in front of the guild master .

"Mam I am the adventurer who broke it" , Miles said while trying to gauge the guild masters Might, but just the pressure coming from her was enough to prove how strong she is.
