The Mistake

Before Max and Zheren were able to understand what is happening, the girl rushed behind and gave them a push that sent them flying to one of the walls.

"Oops! Sorry, I bet none of you saw that coming," the girl said with a wide grin that showed all her teeth. "I don't care who you are but I won't let you spoil my plans! The entire school is mine! And I'll destroy everyone here. Don't you dare get in my way or you'll be gone just like your stupid friend, KukuKuku..." The girl chuckled and disappeared from the place.

"She is stronger than I thought," Zheren mumbled as he stood up and dusted his clothes.

"Yes, she is," Max agreed and stood up from where he had fallen. He looked quite angry and at the same time shocked about the girl, she took him by surprise. "Let's go back to the dorms," he added and began to walk away.

"Huh, what about those students? She's going after them and you know it! Will you let her kill them?" Seeing that Max didn't stop to look at him, Zheren ran and blocked his way. There was a look of worry on Zheren's face as he stared at Max's upset face, he could say why he was angry but if they don't help them, it'll be a shame on their part. At this point, Max should put aside the grievances he has with the school and help them destroy whoever or whatever that girl is or else it's only a matter of time and the entire school will be wiped out. "Max, you need to calm down. Think about it, many students are the way you were before... Powerless and helpless on their own, they need help and you can do it. Put aside your anger, let's go help them."

Max after listening to Zheren, could not help but sigh and drop his shoulders in defeat. "Fine, let's just go!" He said after sighing.

"Just like that?" Zheren asked in surprise, he could not believe that Max would agree so quickly, nevertheless, he didn't say anything further and instead followed after him.

"Where have you been?" A student asked as he saw Lizzy approach them.

"I heard my name been called again and I left to check but I didn't see anyone," Lizzy replied and walked to where the rest students were. "Did you guys find anything strange? Did you see James?" She asked with a concerned look on her face.

"James is fine, the teacher left to call the rest of the teachers," the boy replied. There was a calm look on his face but his eyes were fixed on the girl as if trying to read her thoughts.

"Why do you keep staring at me that way? Are you suspecting or what?" The girl asked, she was already getting upset by the way the boy kept looking at her.

"Suspect? How?" The boy replied and began to wave his hands in the air. "No! Not at all," he replied still waving his hands.

The girl's face brightened and she smiled lightly upon hearing what the boy said, she didn't say any more words to him or even replied to him and just walked past him.

"I have to keep an eye on her, she's too strange," the boy mumbled to himself as he stared in the direction that the girl went. Soon he began to walk in that same direction without telling the other students there.

After some time that the boy left, Max and Zheren walked into the place. There were surprised to see how calm the place was, it confused them as well.

"Zheren, I thought she was going to attack the students here? Why is everything normal?" Asked Max as his eyes kept darting around the place.

"There, she's over there!" Zheren almost yelled out while pointing at the girl.

"She's leaving the place with a student, come on, let's stop her immediately!" Max said and began to rush towards the girl who was holding her friend. "Shadow Manipulate!" He whispered. "Do you think you can get away with your plan?" As he spoke, dark fogs surrounded the girl, pinning her down at a spot. She shot Max an angry look while at the same confused by the sudden action.

"What's the meaning of this? She asked angrily. " Let me go, you, idiot!"

"And what if he says no?" Zheren replied instead. He opened his palm and there was a ball of purple energy on it, without wasting a second, he threw the ball at her.

"Ahhh!" She screamed as she flew to the nearby wall. This caused the other students to gather around, they were confused about what was happening.

"Leave my friend alone! Who are you to lay your filthy hands on her?" The other friend asked as she glared at Max and Zheren.

"Friend, you say? Tsk! Everyone, that girl you see is the cause of Kelvin's death and she is the one behind the other student's death as well...."

"What? How is that possible?"

"It could be a lie!"

"No, I doubt. She keeps acting oddly,"

"Don't let her escape or you all are gonna die!" Zheren continued while creating another ball of purple energy. The students that believed him began to approach the girl while the rest stood aside to watch what would happen next.

"Zheren, she's not the one!" Max suddenly blurted out after moments of silence. His eyes were fixed on the girl for a long time now and right now he had a frown on his face.

"What do you mean by she's not the girl?" Zheren asked seeming upset by his sudden change of mind. "Have you been blinded by her?"

"Can't you see she's not the one? I don't sense any dangers from her, I've been watching her since and I'm sure of what I'm saying," Max insisted.

"what are you trying to say then?" Zheren asked, trying to calm down so he could understand Max.

"She...."

"He is trying to say that you got the wrong person. KukuKuku..." Another Lizzy said as she came out from the other side of the building with a bloodstain on her mouth. "The real me is here!"
