Easy Win

"Your little tricks won't do anything to me, why don't you stop trying hard and become mine?" The monster taunted as she stared down at the wounded Max from the ceiling. "You are quite special you know?" She continued with a half-grin on her face. "My poison doesn't affect you as it did to your friends over there, look!"

As she spoke, Max turned around. "Zheren!" He mumbled when he saw the state of his friend, not just his friend— The rest as well. "What did you do to them? Why are they unconscious?" He turned around and asked the grinning monster.

"Hahaha, my kids did impress me, I am happy!" The monster still grinning, glanced at the other two monsters who were watching Zheren and the rest. "Slowly yet rapidly, they'll begin to lose their five senses, rationality and then they'll completely be worthless, a simple death will be more appreciated than living a hellish life.... "

"You!" Max roared while glaring at the monster, he clenched his fist so tight that blood began to sip out from the holes created by his sharp claws. He turned and looked at Zheren — his friend. It would be better if the rest died but not his friend.

"Haha, what are you going to do? Nothing!" The monster mocked as she laughed.

"What's the cure? How do I cure them?" Max yelled impatiently.

"That's easy, feed them my blood and they'll wake up..." The monster paused on her words as though she forgot something After a second, a smile crept upon her lips. "I don't think that'll be easy right? You can't kill me so how are you going to save them? Hahaha, enough talking! Kids time to play."

At her command, the other monsters rushed at Max with their claws aiming to tear into his skin again. Max wiped off the blood on his forehead and prepared himself for the forthcoming attack. "Shadow manipulation!" He whispered and dark fogs began to rise behind him creating a giant with large claws. "You think I can't do a thing to you? Watch me and I'll show you that I am your forefather!" he yelled at the monster and focused on the two coming at him.

As one of them got closer to him, Max grabbed her on the head and crushed it, causing it to crack and scatter around. She shrieked as she fell to the ground, lifeless. The second one that had the appearance of Kelvin let out an angry cry and rushed at Max, he was stronger than the other one. Max tried to do what he did to the other one but the monster was able to dodge the attack and then turned it into a counterattack. It kicked Max on his thigh and it sent him flying to the wall.

"Kukukuku, your more impressive than your sister," the monster that had been watching the whole show commented and clapped a bit making the monster that looked like Kelvin feel proud.

Where Max fell, he stood up and dusted his clothes while glaring at the two monsters. He turned his attention to the shadow giant who wasn't moving and mumbled something only he knew. That instant, the shadow giant disappeared from where it was and next, it appeared was behind the monster. "Killing you won't take my time because I am your forefather!" Max roared and made eye contact with the shadow giant.

"You little brat! I've had enough of yo....." the monster could not finish her statement when she felt something enter her chest through the back. "What! how dare you!" The monster was furious, she could not believe she would die in this manner. She tried to do something but couldn't, she angrily glared at Max with hate.

The other monster saw what was happening and rushed to attack Max but before he could get to him, the shadow giant had already pierced through his heart.

"Bring out their hearts and crush them!" Max said to the shadow who did as it was told, then it walked to where the other one lay and did the same thing. "If not for one thing, I wouldn't have even injured myself to this extent," Max said to himself as he checked the injuries all over his body.

He dragged the first monster to where Zheren and the rest were and dropped her. "Hey, I have no choice but to do this, I don't know if it'll work but don't blame me for making you drink it," he said to the unconscious Zheren as he poured the monster's blood into his mouth.

It's been an hour since the fight ended, slowly the boys began to open their eyes and look around the whole place in confusion.

"I thought we were fighting?" Nat had a frown on his face as he looked around. At the corner of the wall, are the three monsters and on the other side, a severely wounded Max glaring back at him. "Did you kill them? How did you do it?" This time Nat was no longer frowning, he had a surprised look on his face, he would be lying if he said Max wasn't surprising him.

"I did like I always do," Max replied shortly. He did not want to engage in a discussion with Nat.

"How did you make us wake up?" Zheren asked trying to remove Max's mind from Nat.

"Simple! I fed you all with their blood, that it!" Max said pointing at the dead monsters.

"Wh-what? How could you?" Harry asked in irritation, he stood up and stormed to where Max was sitting down. "How could you feed us their blood? What do you take me for?"

"Are you done?" Max asked calmly. He could not blame Harry or any of them, it was his fault for trying to help. "If you seriously want to die so much, you can ask me gently and I'll gladly do it. But you speaking trash before me is something I won't accept. You all were going to die if nothing is done, this was the only way to save you all. If you can't appreciate my effort in keeping you alive, then why don't you do it now, kill yourself!?"

"Max, Harry, let's all calm down. This isn't time to shout at each other. Harry, you should not be stupid, he saved your life and for that, you should show appreciation, besides you aren't the only one who is irritated, " as Zheren spoke, Harry didn't say a word and went back to where he was before, he knew he was wrong but at the same time could not forget the fact that he drank a monster's blood. Who would believe that?

After seeing that situation had calmed down, Nat cleared his throat to speak, "Max, is there a way out? how can we leave this building?"

Just as they were thinking of a way out of the place, the door suddenly opened and who they saw shocked them.
