9 Chapter 9

Mary offered Denziel a drink and he sat in the chair. I kept staring at him with my suspicion face on.

" What the hell are you doing here ? "I ask.

" Don't be rude "

" It's fine "Denziel replied to Mary with a smile. 

" I came to see how you were doing Roselina "He turned his gaze to me. Damn !

" I'm sure yesterday most have been hard on you "

" I didn't ask you to check on me so I'll ask again, Why are you here? "I asked again. 

" Rosey..Don't be so rude. Do you know who you're talking to? "Mary asked as she covered my mouth using her hand. 

" Rot Rani answrr rid rer rovering rY rough ( How can I answer if your covering my mouth) "

" I'm sorry for my friends attitude.She's a straightforward person "Mary apologized to Denziel.. 

" Oh believe me I'm aware "He said with a smile. 

Apparently he's here to tell me about the murder yesterday. The murder victims are a part of a group of bandits called black dovers. They're main jobs are killing and assassinations. Black Clovers has been around for sometime now and they always manage to avoid the soldiers 

" But over a week ago bodies have been showing over the city..That why we're on patrol "

" I honestly don't care "I said as kicked back and relax in the chair 

" As long as the suspect isn't me I'm fine with it.To be honest I hated the way your girlfriend looked at me "I added. 

" My girlfriend ?"

" Yes.. The once called Emily "

" I think you're mistaken, we're not a couple "

Oh you can't fool me I can see love from a mile away. I saw the way you two look at eachother and they way she got jealous when she saw you talking to me. I bet that's the main reason why she has it out for me. 

" Whatever "I got up, walked through the door and opened it. 

" Where are you going? "Mary asks. 

" Don't worry Mary I won't go far "

I'm just going for a nice walk before I return. Hopefully by the time I return,dinner will be ready and he will be gone.

" Then allow me to accompany you ? "Denziel asked.

" No, I don't want you following me around "

I walked through the door. I don't want some playboy following me around. He's pure of heart but in the end he is still a guy, if he was a girl it would be a different story. 

" Aaaahhhh 

Suddenly,  I accidentally wrist my ankle and trip down the stairs and as I fall Denziel quickly catches me in his arms. 

"  Are you alright? " He asks with a smile. Oh so romantic….LIKE HELL IT IS! 

" I'm fine.. "

I got out of his hand and walked away. As I walked through the woods, instead of feeling happy I felt irritated,No matter how I tried my face remained pissed. 

Why !? 

This stupid soldier is following me. 

" Hey ! Why do you keep following me ?! "I shout. 

" To catch you when you trip and fall "He said with a smile.

" Don't you have work to do,why don't you go play hero to some other lady? "I said.

" I can't leave you all alone to walk these woods, what if you encounter a monster "

Trying to play the hero huh ,I could kick your *ss any day. I wish a large dinosaur would appear and eat him alive or something.That would definitely make my day. 

" hehehehe. huh ? "

Suddenly, There was a powerful roar, animals ran in the opposite direction and passed us as if we weren't here. It's like they're running away from something. My earlier wish was granted as a large ferocious red tyrannosaurus came walking through the forest. 

" What rotten luck !That's not a Monster, it's a freaking T-rex !"I yelled to myself. I bet is that witch god who played a trick on me. 

" Stand back "

Denziel stood in front of me and charge straight at the T-rex. It opens it wide jaw as it rushed to Denziel who slide under it and cut it's abdomen.

" Oh no ! look out ! "

Denziel called out as he watched the T-rex charge at me.I raised my foot as I was about to kick when Denziel appeared before me. Damn he's so fast and also annoying 

「Severing wind lend me your strength wind cutter」

After chanting and incantation Denziel swing his sword once

and multiple wind blades attack the tyrannosaurus simultaneously. It fall to the ground covered in blood. 

" There. Are you alright ?"Denziel asked.

How should I act ? Play the maiden thanking the hero. 

Oh My Hero !

I bet it's what he wants, I can see his face. He's strong overall, Regular humans would die instantly and yet it took it down, as expected of the strong night in this country.

Hmm ?

I created flames in my hand. 

" Wait ? your not going to burn me "Denziel asked. 

I fired the flame past his face that swallowed the t-rex. It wailed and screamed in pain as the crimson flames burned it to ashes.

" It was alive "Denziel asked as he looked surprised. 

" Thank you for saving me "

" No problem "I turned and walked away. 

" Crimson flames, I've never seen anything like it .. How did I cast it without an incantation ?"

Crap ! I accidentally used my powers without realizing it. 

What will I do? 

" I practiced.. "I said. 

" But that's not true.. Magic is already rare enough and for someone to use it without an incantation is even more rare "

Now that I've piqued his interest, he doesn't seem to want to give up. Guess I'll have to resort to that trick. I grabbed his hand 

" Listen.. I've been through so much and all I want to do is live an ordinary that's all I want "I looked at him with cute puppy eyes. 

" Please..Promise you'll keep it a secret..Please "

Seeing my girly face he got flustered. 

" S-Sure I promise "

" Thanks, that means a lot of me "

At that moment Roselina and Denziel didn't notice that they were being watched. Someone in a robe standing behind the tree saw the two of them holding hands.
