Vacation

It is afternoon, Tomoe has gone back to her home. Erika is sitting on the couch with blue luggage next to her, waiting for me to finish preparing all the necessary things for a vacation. "Big bro, are you not done yet? You're even slower than women when they apply makeup." She's making fun of me. That girl... "Be patient! You've prepared since last night as you have nothing to do. I was busy having a date with Tomoe till this morning."

 She's about to say something but she decides to stop as she knows if she says it, it'll only bring problems. After around 10 minutes, I finished preparing. "Alright, let's go. We'll take a train and probably arrive around... 2 hours, maximum. Ready?" I ask her even though I already know the answer. 

 She nods. Thus, we walk out of the house, lock it, and head to the train station. It'll only take around 10 minutes to reach it. When we reach the train station, the train is already there and we get inside in a hurry, not wanting to miss the train. If not, we probably have to wait hours for another train.

 We put our luggage under our seats. Now, we just have to wait until we arrive. The train has already moved. While we are waiting in silence, Erika suddenly asks me. "So, how was it?" That question is so out of nowhere without any context but I fully understand what she meant by that. "Don't ask" I say without further explanation. 

 "Ehhhh... I wanna know. How was it? Was she good? Do you think she'll be my sister-in-law soon?" The hell is wrong with this girl? How can she ask that with a straight face? "Don't get ahead of yourself, Erika. Too soon to think about it, yet." 

 "You said 'yet', that means you'll eventually think about it. That's enough for me. Can't wait to see the day of you and Tomoe's wedding or... Maybe there'll be other girls too? Hehehe" She whispers something at the end but I can't hear it. Anyway, since we have nothing to do, we both just scroll through our smartphones. 

 I almost forgot I have to tell Rena that I'll be going on a vacation. Not that she lives near me but still, she deserves to know. Also, I need to let Ayaka know about this too. Erika has probably told Rina about this but nothing could go wrong with a double reminder, right? So, I message her and she's happy for us. She's really an angel, isn't she? 

 All of my buddies already know too. .....*Sigh* Do I really need to tell everyone? Maybe Becca too. After a few minutes of telling all of my friends, I finally turned off my phone and relaxed a bit by leaning on the headrest. I close my eyes to take a nap for an hour or two because I know I have a lot to do when we arrive. Slowly but surely, I drift off to sleep with peace. 

 One hour later, Erika hit me on the shoulder to wake me up. "Wake up, big bro! We're almost there." I was startled when she did it and opened my eyes in shock. I look at my phone to see the time and it is almost 4 pm. I look out the window and see a beautiful beach and a hotel where we will stay at. It is truly breathtaking and I know I won't regret going on a vacation. I turn back to my sister and her excited face can be seen even when she tries hard not to show it. 

 A few minutes later, the train reached the station after an announcement was made. We quickly grab our luggage and walk out of the train. I've ordered a cab to pick us up. It was a Toyota Corolla in black. I admired it a bit before putting our luggage inside the trunk. We get into the car and sit in the passenger seat. The inside was clean with a scent of Lavender. The seat is also comfy with no spring poking underneath us. The song that was put on was also good and chilling, nothing too extreme or loud. Cherry on top, The driver is not talking to us or asking any unnecessary questions. This is the best cab I ever got on. No doubt. I will leave a five-star review after this. He deserves it. 

 We arrive at our hotel and he drops us off in front of the hotel's door. We enter it through the door and see quite a large lobby with a few couches to sit on. "Alright, Erika, you can take a seat first while I'll get the key to our room." She nods and goes to the couch before sitting on it and admiring the lobby. I go to the counter to check in and get the key. It doesn't take too long before the receptionist hands our room key. She's quite beautiful but I noticed a ring on her finger which means she is married and I should not bother her. 

 I look back at my sister. "Lil' sis, I've got the key. Let's go" I jiggle the key towards her and walk to where our room is. She quickly gets up and grabs her luggage before running to catch up. She looks really small when walking beside me. Our room is 307 on the third floor on the right side. This hotel has 27 floors in total including two underground floors. It is quite big for a hotel.... I think. We got in the elevator with no people inside and waited for it to get us to the third floor. It doesn't take long before we reach it. The door opens and we walk out to our room. We find it quite easy with large numbers carved on the door. They sure are trying really hard to make residents not miss it. To unlock the door, you need a card. They come with a key when you check in at the counter. I wave the card at the sensor and a bip sound can heard, indicating that it is unlocked now. 

 I open the door and the inside is so damn nice. There is one single bed and one queen-size bed with a bed lamp on the top of a drawer between the beds. There are also two sockets on the wall there. On the wall in front of the beds is a 42" TV and a long drawer underneath it. A closet is on the left side of the TV to hang our clothes and the bathroom is in front of it. 

 It is good enough for both of us. So, we drop our luggage just beside our bed. I get the queen-size one while Erika gets the single one. She has no complaints about it. I guess she likes it. We settle everything before we both lie down on the beds with nothing to do. "Big bro, I'm bored. What does this hotel have for entertainment?" She asks while looking at me. I look into my phone to find it. After I got the key, the receptionist told me to scan a QR code if I wanted to see everything this hotel has to offer. 

 It has an indoor gym, a pool, an entertainment room, a bar, a restaurant, a small park, etc. It has more than that but I was too lazy to mention everything. I send the link to Erika so, she can take a look herself. "Thanks, big bro. Alright, let's see... Wow, that's a lot of things we can do and it's... free!? Really?" She asks me with a shocked face. It is amusing to see her reaction like that. "Yeah, it's free. It's already included in our room payment. We're going to stay for a week, of course, we need some entertainment to keep ourselves from boredom." I explain to her and she seems to understand, judging from her nods. She looks excited to try it and I'm not different.

 It's 7 pm. I go take a nice, hot shower to clean myself before we go out. The hotel offers dinner at its restaurant and we decide to try it. Erika goes in after I am done. I get dressed up with my dark zipped hoodie with a military pattern and black pants. Black socks and black shoes with white stripes are the only footwear I have. I just really like black color, okay? I sit on the bed, playing with my phone while waiting for her to finish. Thankfully, wifi here is free and fast. That's a rare thing nowadays. 

 The bathroom door can be heard open and Erika is stepping out of it. I've seen her multiple times, so I pay no mind. She dresses up with a cute red dress and black shoes. She looks at me with a face I can't describe. "...Big bro, what are you? Man in black? Are you trying to be one with the night?" She is being sarcastic again and knows well how to push my button. "Shut up. This is my style, okay? Come on, let's go already." I brush it off to avoid my feelings from getting hurt. 

 I get up and walk towards the front door before stepping outside. Erika follows after me. I lock the door before head out to the restaurant on the second floor.
