Came Across

Tomorrow morning after the bathroom incident, everyone woke up from sleep and goes to the kitchen to have breakfast but this time, Rebecca is the one who cooks. I've tried to stop her and let me do it instead since I'm the host and she's a guest yet she insisted and block me from entering the kitchen with the help of my younger sister, Erika. Aih, since when have you two worked together like this!?

I give up and sit on the couch, watching the television instead. Women, when they work together, are intimidating. I won't disturb them and let myself be surprised by her skills in cooking. I'm sure she knows what she's doing since she is a food hunter, they'll have a wide knowledge of food when they travel all around the world, so of course, she knows something. Right?

I'm watching the daily news about Japan and the world, and nothing unusual happened, it's all the same. Then, I switch the channel again and again and repeat the same thing a few times before they announce that the breakfast is ready. I get up from the couch, walk to the table and sit on my usual chair. The breakfast in front of me is different from what we always did, Canadian breakfast is what she serves on the table.

They consist of cooked eggs, fried pork sausages, deep-fried potatoes, toasted bread, pancakes, and syrup. I never try other countries' breakfasts before, so this can be a pleasant experience for us. She looks so eager for me to try her country's traditional breakfast, thus without further ado, we dig in!

20 minutes have passed and all the food on each of our plates is gone to the point of making all the plates clean. That was something. Truly a completely different taste for the morning especially for people like us.

I take all the plates and cutleries to wash them at the sink while Erika is getting ready to go to school and Rebecca getting dressed to continue her food hunting with me later. I won't talk about the shower part as it's a routine for us. After I've done washing the dishes, I go to my room and get dressed too.

After we've done getting dressed, we depart on our way, Erika going to the school while me and Rebecca to food hunting. Like yesterday, I also stream our journey by setting up all the things I need but I'm not the only one, she also recorded herself using her phone attached to the gimbal and a wireless microphone clipped onto her shirt. This is the beginning of our collaboration, we should start yesterday but since she doesn't know anything about it, we decide to start tomorrow which is today.

This time, we're not using any vehicles instead we just walking. She says that she wants to eat soft food for today as she had eaten so much heavy food yesterday and I agree. So, we go to the cafeteria that serves a slice of cake with different flavors, many types of bread, and soft drinks. There is nothing much to talk about when we're in here. Thus, after we've done it, I recommended we go to the restaurant called Container City for lunch as it's almost afternoon.

On our way to the restaurant, we bumped into Ayaka-san and Rina-san, a few meters from the place. All of us are surprised when we bumped into each other except for Rebecca as she doesn't know them. They say hello to us and we reply back. Then, I introduce her to them and tell them that we are on a journey to hunt food and also that we recorded ourselves.

While I explaining, I got an idea if we can include them in our video to... you know... increase our views and let them know that I have other friends than Rena! I mention this idea to her to see if she's on the same page and she agrees! She thinks that this is a good idea and praises me for coming out with the idea. Hey, I'm not a kid, alright!

So, we ask them if they want to join us at the restaurant and be included in the video and stream. "Really? It's true that we're also about to have lunch but isn't that place quite expensive? And I don't know... can we? Rina-chan, do you want to show your face to the public?" Ayaka-san asks with hesitation and concern for her younger sister, Rina. I guess this is a different experience for them, for people who are not like us.

She nods while shyly looking at me. *Sigh* this girl is still having a crush on me? I thought that not meeting each other for a period of time gonna make her lose interest but it isn't. She's a tough one. Then, I notice Rebecca is also staring with menace at me. Oh, come on! don't look at me like that. I'm not a pedophile!

I'm just gonna ignore them and proceed to the restaurant and leave them behind. Shocked that I leave them, they all hurriedly keep up with me and go to the restaurant, too.

We enter the restaurant's area and the view takes our breath away. Like its name, I can see the containers stacked up on each other and side by side with themselves too. At the center is where all tables and chairs are placed with patio umbrellas at the middle of each table. There are also a lot of plants all around the containers and the turn-off RGB LED strip light hanging all over the place. The color is mostly matte black with a bit of white here and there. At each container is the stall that sells all kinds of food and beverages from traditional and modern to western.

We still are in awe of the scenery before finally snapping back to reality and getting into the main area where you can order the food at each stall. The system they using here is... quite interesting, I would say. After you've done order the food or beverages, you'll be given some kind of small remote but without buttons. The only things on it are numbers and LED. They said that when your food or drinks are done, the thing you were given will make a noise and the LED will blink. So, you need to take your order, pay for the order, and give back the thing to them. As I said, a unique system they applied here.

So, we each go to our own desirable stall and choose whatever we want and of course, I pay for all of them. *Sigh* My money.
