I had my dinner and went to my room and stretched across the bed when I felt a piece of paper touch my hand.I opened it wondering where it came from.I was all alone at home for 2 days because I was too lazy to attend the family get together where those annoying second cousins of mine would act all smart and act like attention seekers. Not that I loved attention and the crowd, but watching those dimwits would piss me off.So I did not bother going there .

I opened the letter and was horrified.

'I can see you.... you coward' was written in the first line.

'Shit! Where did this thing drop from' , I thought.I looked around and saw the window open and ran towards it to shut it.

Don't know where I got the adrenaline rush, but I started running with the speed of light ( not really ) and locked all the eyes and ears of my house.I mean the windows and doors. I was hella scared but still curiosity got the most in me and I continued to read that letter.

'I can see you.... you coward, you are nothing but a skeleton to me.A skeleton who's afraid of lizards.You are a coward little girl. who cannot even kill flies. If you dare come to the neighbouring park, right after you read this letter.I will be waiting for you with a huge surprise.'

"Hah! ", I sighed. I was totally offended by this letter. I admit that I am thinner than most people, but calling me a skeleton is just too much. And please, I am already 15 years old, what's with that 'little girl', it sounds creepy AF.

I am the person who kills cockroaches without batting an eyelid and you say flies... come on! they are faster, it isn't easy.

I am not stupid enough to get provoked by this silly letter. 'I am not going bastard! Do anything you want with your Surprise'

I watched a movie totally ignoring that letter.I felt sleepy around 2 a.m. and went to sleep.

Sunshine creeped through the curtain of my room and it was opened. Nah! I did not open the curtains. I am still sleeping on my bed. I hear some noises and I wake up. But I did open my eyes. 'I told you that this coward would not come to the park', said a slight mechanical voice. Another voice replied, ' how would I know about that? ' I was scared shit and held my breath.

I guess the intruders realised that I was awake and shook me. I was scared but still I opened my eyes slowly. 'Fuck! this light is blinding me', I thought.

Before I could see them, chilled water was splashed over me. A thousand curses ran through my brain and I opened my eyes completely to look at them. I had a bored expression on my face and was about to go back to sleep when one of them stopped me.

"Why am I not surprised?", I ask them nonchalantly.

" Can't you at least act shocked or surprise? What a mood killer" , the woman uttered.

"Were you the sender of the letter, Mom?", I ask.

She grinned in response . She says" I told your dad that you would not come to the park.But he says my daughter is brave enough to fight these battles of life."

'WTF' was all in my mind.

"But why all this drama?" I ask

My Dad sitting in the corner replied, 'You topped your school and came 4th in our city in your exams. I thought that we would surprise you but you never came!'

He sounded disappointed, fucking disappointed!! Shouldn't he be proud that his smart daughter does not get fooled so easily. While these thoughts were in my mind, he came to me and kissed my forehead saying "Congratulations! my princess"

Apparently there was no family get together. They asked me if I would go with them because they knew I would never. When they realised that I would not go to the park, they came back to home and stared decorating the room next to mine and had their voice recorded in a voice changer app and played it when they got to know i was about to wake up.

They did all this for me and I was elated. Obviously who would not be happy when they realise that their parents would go to such lengths for them.

But still, CHILLED WATER IS NOT THE BEST WAY TO START THE DAY!!!I groan as I head to the bathroom.
