{Chapter 1] Introduction to Baara's Life.

In a small city called Midian. There is a very distinguished living. The wealthy ruled the city while the 'poor' are the ones who strive to make a living working day and night.

In this city there is no middle class as in the case of ranking the livelihood of people, it is either you are rich or you are considered 'poor'.

Foreigners, tourists, and people from around the world come here for only one word 'wealth' and the purpose of seeing wealth, connecting with the wealthy, and living a wealthy life.

The Midian city is like a 'country' in its own country. The Midian city is the capital of the country Venrusia.

The Midian city is also referred to as the 'wealthy abode'.

The cost of living in this city is high for a person like Baara who after finishing high school ''relocated" to this wealthy city in the pursuit of money and a comfortable life.

After Baara graduated from high school she ran away from the orphanage she was in before she had clocked 18. It has been tough for her but it's better than the life she has been living in the orphanage and the bullying she went through.

Baara has no friends and even tho that seems kind of lonely she would prefer to have no friends than one that will betray her again.

Baara had a really bad past from the abandonment by her mother when she was 5 years old to live in an orphanage where she wasn't treated well to bullying in school to the betrayal from the only friend she had which led to depression.

At 17 years Baara had already decided that after high school she would run away and go to a different city and start a new normal life and leave all these sad memories and people behind.

After arriving in this wealthy city Baara knew that the pressure to make money would be very high here other than in the city where she just came from. It is either you make a lot of money before coming into the city or you make a lot of money working in the city if not then you just remain a servant for the wealthy folks.

Baara has stayed in this city for two years and has not yet made any great achievements. She has been living the same way she started when she came to this city, working menial jobs and then earning just an amount to spend on sustenance and having little to spend on other necessities and nothing to save.

In the suburb where she is living, there are also other girls like her too who want to make money and live a comfortable life in the city while doing menial work and there are others who want to make money fast, and to do so they 'hang out' with the wealthy young and old men of the city. Baara sees no 'wrong' in this because, In life, everyone has to do what they will do to survive and live comfortably as long as it is not hurting anyone it is ok and there is no need to be judgmental about it.

Late in the evening, a tired-looking dull young lady opens the door to her apartment and trudges into her bed.

'UGHHhh'!

Exclaimed Baara as she falls heavily on her bed to rest a little after a stressful day at work and slowly enters into the dream world with her work clothes on.

Wandering around in a familiar place she thinks to herself 'what am I doing here?'.This used to be the place Baara used to work until she resigned last month.

Suddenly icy long fingers wrap around her neck.

"Ahhh" she shouted and turned to see what was that.

The creepy face of a man.A familiar one.

He was her co-worker Alvan.

He is a creepy pervert and he was one of the reasons she resigned from the workplace, where she used to work as a maid in one of the wealthy homes.

"Damn you, Alvan!".

Screamed Baara out of shock and fear.

"I know you miss me".

Alvan 'joked' and smiled creepily.

"Nope, I don't, and move out the way" Baara angrily replied.

"And if I don't ?" Alvan replied and inched closer.

"Go to hell then" Baara replied and started moving backward.

Alvan inched closer with a weird smile on his lips.

'Oh God, what should I do'. Baara contemplates in her mind.

"Aarrghhh"!!

Alvan yelps in pain from the sudden kick from Baara to his abdomen.

Baara uses this opportunity to run away.

"Shit! damn you bitch" Alvan cusses loud as he follows after her with fast footsteps.

Baara runs as fast as she can but it doesn't seem as tho she is.

Her legs were slowing down.

'Oh no, why the hell do I have to go through this', cried Baara as she looks back to see an angry Alvan getting closer to her.

Baara begins to wobble and then falls to the ground.

"You can't run away from me now,"! Alvan said with anger.

"Get away from me you creep"! Baara said with a shaken voice as she tries to drag herself away from him.

"I don't think so" He replied

Hopeless Baara begins to call for help

"Help, please someone I need help!!".

Baara shouted.

"No one is going to help you here, Baara, you can't act all bossy now right? Calling for help? tsk, So tuff". Alvan scoffed.

Alvan begins to drag her by her legs as she struggles to escape from his clutches.

'Let go of me, you bastard'. Baara cussed at him in frustration.

Alvan laughed as he said 'hmm let's just see for how long you are going to keep this up ' as he continues to drag her into a dark room.

"Alvan, what are you doing? Stop this nonsense, please".

"Nope, not after the way you humiliated me in front of others"!! Alvan says as he drags her into the dark place.

"No...No...Ahhhhhhhhh"!! Baara screams.
