Chapter 5 Villainess in Trouble.

After I faced the Crown prince and asked to break of the engagement, the next day I received a letter saying that our engagement will be announce at the coming of age ceremony of the crown prince.

I rummage the whole estate to find my father~ the duke to why did my engagement didn't break off.

But he is in the middle of knowhere to be found.

First thing in the morning, I was facing my table and writing a letter.

I thought I can escape my redflags but I'm not way past on the middle of the novel but my redflags is back again and waving themselves infront of me.

I want to live a lavish life of a duchess and rule with pride in the name of Yuriannia.

Mary glance at the letter, I feel awful that she is going to the palace 20th times already but I lended her my carriage so it's no biggie plus the driver is Rudy so their trip back and fort of the castle is fast as it can be.

I changed my clothes into a commoner outfit and quickly rented a carriage and tell that I will go to the Aspin Street, the market where various goods are waiting for me to enjoy.

Im glad that the duchy is big so nobody can see me when I sneaked outside.

If the crown prince doesn't annul the engagement the only possible way to escape is to be the Head of the duchy since I'm the only successor of the duke.

But the vassals will surely disagree. Women are not allowed to rule. So simply put it there it is a big discrimination in this world.

If I enhance my magic and perfect my swordmanship no one will be in my way of becoming the full pledge duchess of the Hazlett duchy.

A little cutie is pulling my dress in a cute way so I patted her head.

"Young Miss, can you buy my flowers for my sick brother, I don't have a money to buy him medicine for his illness. One flower is enough please."

"Yes little one but before that What kind of illness your brother have?"

"Every morning he cough and vomits blood and he cannot eat properly he's working in the southern expedition for the Baron Household before he gets sick last winter."

I nodded. The symptoms is kinda familiar for me.

"Does your brother have a fever and non stop sweating and he cannot do work because of fatigue?"

"Yes Miss, He told me that he feels that his chest is like stabbing itself whenever he cough."

I got my purse and handed her two gold coins.

"Miss this is too much. I can't accept something this big." I can see her little tears from behind her eyes.

I smiled at her and ease her worry. "This one is for your brother and the other one is for my favor, Can you help me with this one?"

She brushed her tears and smiled widely for me.

"Yes miss! I will gladly help you!"

"Do you know any place that can sell artifacts or items that can boost magic or store that sells a fine sword?"

She nodded and held my hand as she guide me to the place where I can find what Im looking for.

'Magicus Alphino' We headed towards that store and inquire some items that I can buy.

Thankfully the store owner is friendly and he did not hesitate to answer all of my queries about magic items.

He did not see us as a commoner or a noble he just gladly accept us as a costumer.

He's a good business man if he were back from my past life.

At the end of our business. I gladly bought all of his magic stuff that I can use.

He seems so delighted that I brought all items I asked. No wonder cause I notice that this shop is a run down shop and it will nearly be closed if they did not pay the rent.

But one item caught me eye before leaving.

"How much for this Ring Mr?" I pointed the ring in a glass case.

"One Old man sell that item for us with a low price"

"Can you sell this for me too? I will gladly pay the price."

"No miss, As a sign of our gratitude you may take this ring as a down payment of our business partnership."

I smiled and observed the ring. This is the ring that can be use to store magic and if you imbue a little mana it can produce three times the mana you used in here. To either use for attack magic or defense magic.

Its my lucky day for me! If I remember Arthur Ripley helped a merchant and as a thanks he give that ring to him and that ring will be used against me.

"What estate are you from miss?"

"I'm a maid of the Lady from the Hazlett Duchy, My lady ordered me to do so. So I came in here in a hurry."

"We shall deliver it to the estate in a few days."

There is no fine swordsmith near here so I decided to go to the herbs department to buy some medicine.

Sasha, the girl who lead me to the store hugged me after I bought medicine for his brother. I instruct her to what to do in the medicine I bought before saying farewell.

According to her observation I'm sure that her brothers illness is Pneumonia. This world is not knowledgeable about medicine and they are solely relying on magic to do the curing.

But Magic is not an option when it comes to an illness.

I walked again to the plaza ready to get back from the estate and thinking if what present I must give to my maids when I get back.

But I froze in the middle of the street when I felt a knife were pointed in my back.

"If you scream your dead, Follow us miss."

'Shit.'
