CHAPTER 12 On

"ALEX! NO!"

I woke up tears swelling up and my throat is dry. I don't know why did I remember something from the past. It's midnight and I just woke up from a very sad past.

I picked my towel and open the balcony and cold air greeted my skin. A canned beer and fried chicken is perfectly fine in this kind of setting but I guess this world doesn't have that kind of thing.

"It's so cold." I stared at the moon, Even though I got a towel in my body it's so cold deep inside of me .

"Are you so lonely like me?" I chuckled, talking to the beautiful moon like this is so silly.

"Being in a place that's too cold and nobodies gonna tell you if you're fine or your happy?" I hold the moon in my hand trying to pick it.

"Just what kind of thing is that?"

Something caught my eye just before I closed the balcony. It's a letter. I opened it and read the it under the moonlights glow.

11 pm. Marketplace.

There's a guild insignia so I know now where did this letter come from.

"So it's tomorrow." I smiled and looked up in the sky.

"Hang in there Albian Prince." As I closed the balcony and headed towards my bed.

"My lady? My lady? can you hear me my lady?" I dozed off during breakfast it turns out that I didn't get a wink of sleep last night.

"What is it Mary?" I brushed my eyes and yawned for a while.

"Uhm the physician delivered this ointment for your skin to heal and she also said that you must take this pill as well."

I applied the ointment in my skin and it doesn't look as bad yesterday it has a refreshing touch on it and it doesn't smell as well but you can feel the cold sensation massaging all throughout the affected skin.

If this physician is in my past world she can make a lot of money from this ointment.

My body feels as light as a feather now that I've consumed the pill. This medicine is oddly different from the others , that it is intended to react after a period of time, but it is reacting right after I consumed it.

How do I know? Cause my body is energized and I didn't feel sleepy anymore.

"Mary, Do you know the Physician? I want to know about who she is."

"Well, the family physician is your cousin on the Duchess's side, she is Lady Trian Comara Drizlea. It's unusual for her to come here because no injuries or accidents are expected. Except for yesterday...."

I nearly choked the food but thanks to the water I swallowed it whole.

"Release her at once!"

Mary seems to be shocked and I calm myself down.

"Now, In the first place I didn't order anyone to lock her up in the punishment room. Who ordered that punishment?"

"It was your father's order to do so my lady. When the headmaid reported back to your father. The servant get dragged by the guards and lock her up in the punishment room."

"First get her back and Take care of her in her room. I will face the Duke for this matter and summon the headmaid when you go."

"Yes My lady."

All this time that I will show them that the Yurianna from the Original is different now and here goes the Duke locking up the maid that made a mere mistake.

The rumours is a bad news for me. Well if it were me I will always care about thus bodies reputation.

After some time the headmaid came to my room. She's a middle aged woman and Mary told me that she works for the Dukes mansion ever since My mother came to the Duchy because she also works for my mother a long time ago. She has a stern posture enough to be called a headmaid of the Renowned duchy.

"I greet the Lady Yurianna of the Hazzlet Duchy, For what reason did you summon me my lady?" she asked politely bowing her head.

I want to test her since I can see that she's a trusted employee that works with Yurianna's mother a long time ago.

"Raise your head, Now. Since when did I tell you that you can report anything that occurs to me to my father? "

"' You truly do resemble the Duchess'I will take it by the heart My lady." Before she bid her farewell.

After some time. I decided to roam around the house and I'm so happy that Sir Kylus isn't here because he was with the crown prince.

I tasked Mary to take some time off since she was working some errands for me for the past few days.

I informed the headmaid that I will rest for today and I don't intend to go socializing for the time being. I'm saying that for today I'm gonna lock myself up into this room.

So I just practiced my magic and store some mana to the ring. As long as I can imagine the magic I want and cast a spell mentally then the result is a success.

But my disadvantage is it's taking a toll on my body due to my poor stamina, buy I guess it's improving bit by bit cause I'm training my body to the full extent.

The food is being delivered by my room and the duke had some matters to attend to in the palace. I told them that I'm not in a mood to be entertained and wishes to rest so that no one can access my room and found out that I was somewhere off.

I changed the color of my hair to ash grey and the color of my eyes to brown . Some people will mistake me as a boy due to my magic causing the trick.

Because my features will definitely stand out because of my red hair and green eyes only the Duke of Hazzlet have that hair and eyes so the bloodline is pretty rare.

10:30 pm. I geared up for my rendezvous with that obsess cry guildmaster bastard . I escaped through the backdoor and rented a carriage.

When I arrived at the meeting spot. I thought that this crazy bastard will approach me in a secretive way due to the crowd. But that shattered my expectations.

"Lady Yanaaa!" he was smiling like a fool and waving his hand. Enjoying the festival. What did he ate to be this energetic?

It's natural that he can see through my disguise. He also has mana inside of him.

"Last time I check 'Yana' isn't my name but fine. Lead the way Mr Arty." I teased him a little 'Arty' is derived form his name Arthur that I suddenly came up with.

"Not fair. Always direct to the point, Nevermind that Little Lady." As he handed me an invitation letter.

Obviously it's an illegal one.

"This is the invitation letter that the manager sent me every year. You can have that and viola your inside the auction."

The plan is to infiltrate the auction by using his name. He handed me the invitation and I accepted it.

"You seem that you know this invitation very well."

I work hard and I aim to treat myself nicely for that.

I sensed him eyeing my from behind.

I want to speak some more but I know that Arthur the candidate for the male lead also is the same. Everyone knows him as easily bullied and exploited but he is truly a formidable oppenent to have.

He's that kind of a person because he's the master of the Assassin's.

He's probably thinking where the heck did I get the info or when is the info is getting leaked.

"You shouldn't know much about that."

Luckily the manager of this auction have something to this male lead they owe him big time and as a compensation he can have a place in this auction.

Second is to head to the underground where the Prince of Albian is and free him on his shackles before anything bad happens to him.

We headed to a crowd and into the narrow streets.He handed me a black mask adored with black feathers.

"Fine, Always wear this mask and you'll be fine."

I followed Arthur and he knocked 6 times in a rythmic pattern. Before I knew it he vanished.

'Fudge talking about vanishing while his contractor is alone.'

A muscle man opened the door and he seems dangerous but I handed him the invitation he instantly bowed his head as if his life depends on it.

"Enjoy your stay Sir!" He guided me to the upper stage where I can see that many nobleman and noblewoman where enjoying the show.

I glanced a little cause there's too much noise.

A servant handed me a wine and a big old fart came up rubbing his hand showing me the way to the VIP section of the arena.

"Lead me to the underground."

"Please sir, there's more to the arena than the Underground."

"I came here for something but you dare to waste my time?" I slipped my dagger to his throat threathening his life.

'Shoot this is super hard to practice back there. The lacked of sleep paid off.'

"P-please sire. If it is people who can work for you there's definitely someone from down there who can satisfy you."

"And then?" I deepened the knife telling him that

" If you're not gonna talk shits talk garbages instead."

"There's a man who can use both swordmanship and magic! He can be a fine shield for you sire!"

"Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome to the Annual Gladiator Competition!" I lowered my dagger.

Four gates was opened and something.. No someone is coming in those gates.

"The slaves acquired from different part of the kingdom!"

I can't help but feel an outrageous range deep inside me. As if I want to strangle this manager together with the viscount.

Slavery is long forbidden in this kingdom because the 5th king of Cretia declared that fine line between a commoner, nobility and aristocracy.

The moment that the four contestants comes into the light.

My heart almost fell unto the ground. He was chained like a dog and there's too many bruise on his half naked body.

There's only one person in this book who have a pure black hair and when I spotted his eyes I can those lifeless purple eyes.

"That thing is our best product so far Sire! He's the one that cannot be defeated by other contestants. If you wish we can give him for you in a very accountable price." rubbing his hand as I watch the male lead swings his wood and beat his oppenent.

He's like a beast without a sword and it pains me. All this time I thought that if I arrived a little early I can save him to this hell hole.

I was stupid for thinking that logic.

"I'll buy him." As I was already clenching my fist.

"W-wait what?"

"No, All of them. Do I need to repeat myself or should I just kill you. Right here and right now?"

The manager manage to bring back all the slaves in underground and guide me through the transaction site.

I was following them leading me downstairs but an explosion occured shaking the ceiling of the auction house.

"THE ROYAL GUARDS DISCOVERED THIS PLACE!"

"Where's the swordsman?" I asked.

"Sire he's in the prison and you can just pick him up when we arrived there."

"Well thank you." I used magic to make them fall asleep. A sleeping gas to be exact.

They immediately fell into the ground and I can hear clanging of the swords and stuffs but after calculating this damn stairs and the blueprint of this place.

I tried to teleport but the scene infront of me is too much to handle that I want to throw a big book to their faces and throw them in a secluded prison and torture them.

"YOU WHO ARE YOU!" I see that my cover blew up because of mana depletion.

"I'm sorry, I'm late." He passed out after I said those words infront of him.

"You dare to lay hands him and Now I'm pissed off.. Really pissed off."

I used the magic on the ring cause mine was definitely on the verge of collapsing my head is also throbbing.

I unchained him and cast a minor healing spell before I put on a cloak.

"Search the Area." The door opens and Sir Kylus and I made an eye contact he drew his sword and aimed it at me.

"Identify yourself." It's such a good timing cause this place is dark.

Behind my mask I used the remaining mana on this ring to teleport us back to a safe place.

Where I tasked a certain guildmaster to pick us up.

Before passing out I can see a silhouette of a girl covered in black cloak

"I found you My lady."
