14 Expelled?

As me and Nissa approached the bed , our mother showed us our little sister ,who was sleeping, as you can expect , she was a normal baby , the only difference was that she was pale and that she a still some blood on the corner of her mouth.

Father looked at the both of us and said:

"I hope the both of you will treat her well" he said looking at the both of us. "You should never forget that you all bear the same blood, and you shall help each other." He said , insisting his glare on Nissa .

As he said that I inspected my new little sister:

'What are those stats? Has the system a bug or something?' I exclaimed myself in my mind.

'This can't be possible right?! She is stronger than me after my 3 years of training !!!

'And she can be a fighter and a mage ?!? why was I not born with this !' I exclaimed in my mind ,angry at the world.

I was watching this little monster sleeping in my mother's arms when mother suddenly spoke up.

"Honey , tomorrow you will go with your father and sister in the training ground , your magical lessons will be on a halt." She said , looking at the baby in her arms.

"Huh ? why?" I asked mother.

"You will know tomorrow , you should go rest , tomorrow will be a tiring day." Said father looking at me

I could only nod and left the room with Nissa .

The next morning , when we finished our breakfast, we followed Father into the training ground, once we arrived , he turned his body so that he was facing us, and he started speaking to me:

"Rhain, you should know that even if I'm not here , this castle is my home, I know everything that happens inside it." He said in all seriousness.

When I heard that , I was starting to sweat as I though he knew what I did to mother in her sleep or the hypnosis I used on Nissa.

"You told your mother that you wanted to be strong , strong enough to protect her, you also said that you wanted to become a fighter, is that right?" he continued.

"Y…Yes" I responded weakly.

"I DID NOT HEAR YOU!" he screamed.

"YES FATHER , I DID SAY THAT." I screamed as well , scared of the reason why he was screaming so suddenly.

"Then why are you slacking off when your mother isn't there with you ?, why aren't you training more when your lessons with your mother are finished ? why aren't you telling your mother you finished mastering the dual cast she wanted you to learn?" he said as anger appeared in his eyes that started glowing red.

"I…I…" I said looking down , I did not know what to retort , I did not know how he learnt about those things even if I was happy that he did not know about the other things , I was still destabilised .

*Sigh*

I heard my father sighing.

"I know that at first , your mother wanted you to teach your sister , but right now , you're not worth teaching anything to your sister. So, she will teach you instead , if your sister judge you incompetent by the time that your new sister has finished her child phase, you will be expelled from the clan."

As I heard that , despair started to appear in my eyes .

Expelled ?

Me?

Why?

What did I do wrong to begin with?

And she will be the one to judge it ? I said ,looking at my sister who wore a poker face. She won't even let me have a chance , you could just expel me now…

"This training will start now" said father as he took his leave.

Before he left , I could see the look he gave me .

This was a look I saw often in my first life.

This was disappointment .

-Mother's pov:

I was in my room , taking care of my baby.

Vampire's children are independent after 3 months , but the counterpart to that is that their mother must keep them close to herself during those 3 months so that she can lend her energy to her children .

My child woke up , and I could see in her big red eyes that she was hungry , the maid next to me gave me some blood to feed her. As I was feeding her , the door opened, and my husband entered the room

He already should've taken Rhain and Nissa in the training ground for them to start so I asked him.

"So how did it go?"

"Nissa was right." He sighed

"You sheltered him too much , you should know better than Nissa or I, how he is."

"Yes" I said casting my gaze towards the roof. " I was hoping this was only temporary , but I did not think he would put up a facade in front of me. I was blinded by my love from him."

He started laughing .

"I wonder how shocked my brother and Nissa would be if they could hear you right now." He said , with a sad smile on his face.

"Do you think he will be able to overcome himself?" I asked my husband , ignoring the sad emotions I felt when he mentioned our friends.

"I don't know… If I'm being honest , I can see my uncle in him…" he said looking outside the window.

"Come on , our son is not that bad " I said looking at him with a grin.

"I hope not , if he becomes like him , I will have to hunt him too."

"Did you find him?" I asked him

"No, he is still hiding in the federation like the good dog he is."

After he said that , we did not spoke for some time until I asked him:

"Will you really expel him if he fails?" I asked him with some doubt in my eyes.

"Yes." He answered without hesitation.

I was surprised , I did not think he would be so strict with his own son.

"Even if Nissa did not like him because of a childish reason at first , her reasons now are justified , I trust in our daughter, she will do everything she can to put him on the right tracks."

I could not disagree with what my husband said as I believed it too.

"don't worry, he will be able to do it." I told him.

"What makes you so sure that he will be able to do it?" he asked me as he turned towards me.

"Because he is our son ." I told him , looking at him in the eyes.

As I said that , I could see a grin forming on his face.

"You're right."

"Because he is our son" he said faintly as he turned his head back towards the window.
