Let's Change this Damn Plot

"Hello dear new students. My name is Chabashira Sae, and I am in charge of this class. I teach Japanese history. Since this school does not reorganize classes every year, I hope to get to know each of you over the next three years. Best regards. The entrance ceremony will take place in an hour in the gymnasium. For this purpose, I will now distribute the list of special rules of this school and the enrollment guide."

After saying these words, she hands out a batch of handouts to each head seat in the row with the intention of passing them around the class.

With the documentation handed out to each student, Chabashira speaks again: "In this school, there are special rules that make it different from all other high schools. Firstly, all students are required to live on campus, and they are prohibited from contacting anyone outside the school. Even contacting immediate family is impossible without the school's permission. It is also forbidden to leave the school grounds. However, there are plenty of facilities on campus so that you won't suffer from being restricted."

There are karaoke rooms, theaters, cafes, and even shops. Nevertheless, I know there is something much more important than that. The absolute law that governs this school and its students: the S system.

"I will now distribute student ID cards. With this card, you can buy anything in all the campus stores and facilities. It works like a credit card. However, be careful about how many points you use. There's nothing you can't buy at school. If it's on the school grounds, it's purchasable. Student ID cards can be used by swiping them on the machines. Using the machines is really easy, so you won't have any problems with them. Points will be automatically credited on the first day of the month. Everyone should already have 100,000 points on their card. Also, 1 point equals 1 yen. Any further explanation is unnecessary."

At these words, the classroom became noisy. Understandable. Simple high school students were just told they're entitled to a monthly allowance of 100,000 yen from the school. Of course, I know what hides behind such generosity.

"Were you surprised by the number of points given? This school measures students' abilities. Everyone here, who passed the entrance exam, has shown a certain level of merit and value. The amount of money reflects your skills. Use it without restraint. However, after graduation, all points will be taken back. Since it's impossible to convert these points into money, there's no point in saving them. How the points are used is up to you. Use them on things you like or need. If you feel some of your points are worthless, you can always transfer them to someone else. However, intimidating others for points is prohibited. The school is very strict on bullying issues."

Finishing with these words, Chabashira-sensei looks at each student in the room. Our eyes meet for a very brief moment.

Knowing the plot of the novel, I know that not everything is rosy in this school. Yet our teacher is quite special. Unlike her colleagues, she deliberately hid information in order to test us herself.

In the novel, the students of class D were lured in only to find themselves without an allowance the next month. And if nothing is done, it will be the same here.

I've decided to see what's happening to me as a sort of chance to have a much brighter life. And to do that, I must turn this school into a stepping stone to my success. Therefore, I must stand out from the start. I have no desire to endure the plot and the troubles that come with it. I have a beautiful, intelligent, and strong body to help me.

'Well, let's change this damn plot and rise to the top of this school.'

"It seems that no one..."

Chabashira was about to conclude the session, seeing no questions, but I interrupt by raising my right hand high.

My gesture catches the attention of the entire class, and I can feel a slight intrigued look from Chabashira.

"Yes?"

Having received permission, I stand up from my seat, standing tall. At the same time, I maintain eye contact with Chabashira.

'It's time to start my ascent.'
