6 Chapter VI

Level 1

Health: 95

Magicka: 105

Stamina: 100

Weird and worrisome note aside, I peak into the chest to find some amazing items, first an enchanted sword with fire damage, an enchanted necklace with 10% health regeneration, and enchanted leather bracers with 15% two handed wielding.

Alexander: I can use these to level up my enchanting!

After looting some nearby items I found the spell tome for Clairvoyance.

Alexander: Cool, a spell that's practically useless to a seasoned player. I haven't even used this since my second play through of the game.

Looking at the tomb actually reminded me that I never even used the Sparks spell tome yet, since I have a second I grab it out of my inventory.

Alexander: Come to think of it, how the hell do I even learn the spells? I'm not going to have to actually read through this thing am I???

Upon opening the book I was able to have a close look at the letters, which surprisingly were in English, or maybe that's the way I could see it. Either way the words only stayed there for a second because by the next, the words begin to glow and it almost appeared like they flew out of the book, flying towards me, I could feel the knowledge course through my brain as the memory and distinct feeling of the spell begins to cloud my thoughts, it was the most exhilarating feeling ever, even better then the standing stones! At that moment I learned Sparks.

I look at my hand and when I thought of the spell my palm began to emit sparks right there!

Maybe I'll learn Clairvoyance too just in case. I mean...what if this is just like the case with the traps? I might actually get lost, I definitely don't wanna go through that awesome mental rollercoaster ride again for shits and giggles.

I open the book and the same feeling went through my head, by the time it was done I could use clairvoyance without difficulty. Even though this spell is only good for newbies. I tread down the corridor of the mines and as I pass through I pick up a pickaxe, then sneak further down after hearing something being hammered. Within the room there were three bandits, and one had a bow and arrow.

Alexander: Think now's the time to utilize my skill points. But how do I-

An arrow is shot at me but misses, barely scraping my cheek. I look ahead and there, one of the bandits on the bridge points at me.

Bandit: INTRUDER!!!

Alexander: Wait! How the hell did you see me?!

Bandit: YOU'RE LITERALLY JUST STANDING THERE DUMBASS!!!

Alexander: OH YEAH? WELL YOUR HIDEOUT SUCKS!!!

Bandit: WELL SO DOES YOUR ARMOR!!

Alexander: YOUR MOM DIDN'T THINK SO!!

Bandit: HOW WOULD YOU KNOW?!?

Alexander: CAUSE I WENT INTRUDING ON HER LAST NIGHT BITCH!!!

Bandit: I'M GONNA KILL YOU BASTARD!!!

The bandit jumps from the bridge attempting to strike me down with his sword, but I block it with a shield I had on hand. I then grab hold of my one handed hero axe and try to swing at the bandit, but another came by following my attack, forcing me to the defensive. I end up being pushed back by the two until their buddy roll's up to us and they surround me.

Bandit: Well...got anything else to say...tough guy?

A small pause entered the room before I smirk.

Alexander: 3 vs 1? Reminds me of that night when your mother introduced me to your sisters.

Author: Damn...ya know what? Just for that...

Speech leveled up!

Alexander: I thought that was turned off?

Author: It's called a running gag.

The other 2 bandits try to hide their urge to burst out laughing while the main one got so red that he was close to turning purple.

Deciding to poke the bear one more time I said:

Alexander: Want to know what I did-

Before the bandit knocks me down, kicking me repeatedly in the ribcage until the others joined in.

Bandit: YOU THINK YOUR TOUGH!?!? I'LL SHOW YOU!!!! DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE!!!!!!

The bandit and his buddies keep kicking me senseless, even though the damage is minimal it was draining fast, and I couldn't find an opening.

Just then, I start to feel strange, my skin felt hot, like the blood in my veins were beginning to boil, I started to breathe heavily and began to feel more...angry.

Berserk activated

Bandit: I'LL SHOW YOU TO MESS WITH MY MOTHER!!!!

Before the bandit tried to kick me one more time I grab his leg, ignoring the other two as I gradually got up, towering over the one whose foot is still in my hand.

The 3 bandits look at me nervously as they see my eyes bloodshot and fierce.

Bandit: D-DON'T JUST STAND THERE!!!

The other 2 bandits pull out their swords and try to attack me but I swing their buddy violently towards them, making them stumble and fall in the water. I then activate my sparks and shoot it straight into the water, electrocuting them. Still barely alive the 3 look at me with fear as I slowly walk forward with my two handed axe.

In a hurry they drink some health potions, before charging back to me, I then swing the axe with all my might, overwhelming them with a force strong enough to launch the three a few dozen feet away from me, blood splatters and as the dust clears only one bandit was left alive, the one I teased, he opens his eyes to see himself covered in blood and parts from his two dead buddies, snot and tears begin to cover his face as he sees me towering over him. He crawls away but I follow slowly until he stops and starts to laugh like a madman.

Bandit: The boss is going to kill you bastard!

Alexander: Boss?

I hear large footsteps ahead of me, and standing there menacingly is a large orc, with a pair of large tusks as sharp and pristine as marble, wearing a full set of Nordic armor and wielding a dwarven warhammer. Even with my mind clouded in rage I could make no mistake knowing who it is in front of me. A bandit chief, and as he walks the bandit continues to laugh.

Bandit: See this bastard?? This is our boss! The strongest Orc bandit in Skyrim! Uram Gro-osh!! You'd wish that you'd be back at whatever backwater town you belong in! Cause now he's going to-

Before the bandit finished his sentence Uram slams his henchman's head to a nearby wall, completely crushing it with his warhammer.

Uram: I'm the strongest Orc in Skyrim you moronic Snow Back.

Uram takes a look at me and appears slightly annoyed.

Uram: On top of coming into my hideout, I see a disgusting half-breed who ruined everything. You my friend certainly know how to rub me the wrong way. And for that I'm going to kill you.

Still under the effects of Beserk I wasn't able to say anything. But even if I could, there was no way to talk my way out of here, the only way I can survive is if I kill this guy, or if I escape. And obviously, escaping isn't an option.

My body moves on its own as I swing the chain again to Uram, but he ducks quickly and hits me in the face with a headbutt, I try to grab him but he proved to be stronger, pushing me towards a wall and hitting me continuously in the stomach.

Coughing up blood my vision starts to wane, and with or without a health bar, I could tell I was close to near death.

Out of desperation I swing my axe with a power attack, in response Uram collides my axe with his warhammer and he parries the blow, with a look of amusement he chuckles and then swings his hammer again towards me, launching me against the wall.

I collapse to the ground and Uram looks at me with disdain.

Uram: This is what happens when the pure blood of Orcs mix with that of the other races. And what else but a pitiful Man-Mer? A Breton! Another mutt brought into this world!

He hocks a giant loogie onto my body and kicks me on the side.

Uram: Look at you, you can't even utilize the Berserker Rage within, just some cheap copy, how pitiful. Whoever was the orc between your parents was a fool. And a disappointment to their whole race!

Alexander: What...did you just...say? My parents? A disappointment?!

I try to get up but he kicks me against the wall again, causing me to stagger and fall to the ground.

Uram: YOUR GOING TO SIT RIGHT THERE AND HEAR ME TALK BEFORE I KILL YOU HALFBREED TRASH!!!!

As I lay there again, hearing this lunatic continuing to talk shit, a scene started to play in my head. A small boy is seen crying by the road with bloody hands and knees. A car pulls up and exiting are two adults who rush to the boys side. Caring for his wounds, and calming the boy down. Finally I recognize who that pathetic boy was, this was me, and those two adults were my parents.

How many years had it been since they died I wonder? How long had it been since I even had the free time to visit their graves? I won't ever get a chance to even do that much, and if I die here I don't even know if I'll see them again even then.

Why did I even bother remembering them?

The same scene continues playing back in my head, back to when my parents embraced me. It looks like they're both trying to talk to me, wondering what's going on. My younger self points to a direction to where a bike was.

Now I remember, I kept falling off my bike no matter how hard I tried to ride it without the training wheels, it got so bad my parents thought I was getting bullied because of how beat up I was.

I remembered wanting to give up and keep using my training wheels, thinking I could never ride without them. But then my father looked me in the eyes with a smile and said to not give up. Both he and my mother would then place me back on the bike, she would keep her hands on me so I wouldn't fall, while my father would stay in front of me, urging to go forward.

I started to laugh a little bit after that. Yeah, how could I give up? My parents never gave up on me, so I shouldn't either, no matter how battered I am.

I got this second chance to live in a world that would only be possible in my fantasies, and there's still so much for me to do while I'm here. I want to be apart of the companions, I want to try and end this civil war with my own hands, and more importantly, I've gotta go to the Thalmor Embassy so I can kick some High Elf Ass!!!!

Berserk wore off

No matter what, I will do all that I can while I'm in Skyrim. I'll do what I could never do in the game, and see everything Nirn has to offer!

I won't die, not until I live the life I've always wanted that my previous world couldn't provide! Adventure, fun, a family, being a hero! That's what I want!! And no one, not even this giant orc bastard is going to get in the way of that! I'll live on for my parents no matter what!!

But first I need to think of a way to beat him. Berserk couldn't do a thing, I need to be smart about this. I look around frantically and see a set of chains a few feet away, I could try something with that…yeah, that can work!

Uram: —AND BY THE NAME OF MALACATH I SWEAR I WILL—

Uram turned to see me standing quietly, he scoffs and slowly walks up to me, looking down at my pitiful bloody state.

Uram: And what, do you think your doing standing up, without my permission boy?

I raise my head, glaring at this hulking being who towers over me. Not changing my glance.

At first Uram was mad, but then he chuckles and begins laughing hysterically, walking away to pick up his warhammer.

Uram: Halfbreed or not, the Orc in you is strong no doubt. Tell you what boy, I'll give you the warriors death! Are you ready?

I spit blood from out of my mouth and pickup the chains I used earlier. Wrapping it around my arm and then holding up a shield.

Uram: You're only using a shield? And what're the chains for? Pick up a real weapon!

Alexander: This shield and these chains, are all I need. I won't go down, I've gone through too much to die now.

Uram assumes a battle pose, facing against me. The both of us stare intently, waiting for one to make a move before the other.

Impatient with the waiting Uram charges first, and as he closes in, I pull out a bottle from my inventory.

Uram: You coward! Drinking a healing potion?!

Alexander: Actually this is for you!

I threw the potion into Uram's eyes, at first he flinched but glares angrily at me, and then begins to writhe in pain.

Uram: W-what is this?!? What'd you throw at me?!?

Obviously I can't win this fight in a straight brawl! That's why I need to be smart! So I'll blind him with the venom I got from Helgen, and bash his skull with my shield! Staggering him long enough for me to appear behind him, mounting atop his back I release my chains and wrap them around his neck!

I start pulling the chains back, choking the large orc, at first it works, but Uram gets his footing and tries to get me off by slamming into the walls of the cave!

Now it's only a battle of endurance, he continues to slam me against the walls as I stand above him, trying to suffocate him to death from behind, blood starts trickling down from my head, getting into my eyes, but I tighten my grip and strengthen my resolve!

Uram: *cough* *cough* G-geh! Oofffph! Me! Whel!!!

Uram slams me again against the wall, this time I hear a crack, and my arm suddenly is in pain.

Alexander: NOT YET!!! AT THE END OF THIS FIGHT!! ONE OF US IS DYING BASTARD!!! AND THAT'S GOING TO BE YOU!!!!

I swing my foot to Uram's crotch, kicking his jewels repeatedly until he finally drops down to the ground, then I plant my foot onto his back, and with all my strength, pull the chains until his bright green skin begins to turn purple! Blood begins to seep from his neck until finally, he stops resisting. Uram finally dies.

I fall back to the ground, all the energy I've had now diminished. If Uram isn't dead, the. All this was for nothing, thankfully the mad bastard was actually dead.

Alexander: Hope you got what you wanted out of that fight…you thick-necked psychotic son of a bitch.

I pop open some stamina potions. Though that could only do so much, I still felt like shit, and when trying to lift myself up my entire body screamed in pain.

I look to Uram's body, and walk away. Much as I wanted to loot him, the stuff I have on me I need, I'll just ask someone to come here when I get the chance, regardless of whether this place can reset, realistically his body shouldn't disappear.

I limp away, leaving the corpse behind, for what I believed to be the last I'll ever see of him.
