"Did you or did you not have a hand in the disappearance of Jace?"
"I did not"
Jason said who was in front of his parents and younger sister.
"That's not the question we should be asking" said Miranda looking at her second son in anger, "we should be asking why he did not help his nephew"
She said glaring at Jason who had a slight change of expression and nobody could have noticed it but he was in the presence of two of the most powerful and feared individuals on the planet.
"So you did see him and yet you did not do anything to help him' said James opening his eyes that were closed the entire time.
Jason dropped the pretense and laughed coldly "I just thought that I should get rid of the waste and disgrace of the Norman Family, I did not do anything bad" he said.
"How Dare You? Are Have Gone Senile? You Are The Heir Of The Norman Family, How Could You Do Such A Thing?"
Janice yelled at her brother who did not even flinch a bit and only shrugged "heir? I have never been treated as the heir ever since I was named one, the only heir in his eyes is his favorite son, Jared and he a pawn in his eyes, or am I wrong father?" Jason said with a cold grin on his face.
"So you decided to let an innocent child die because of your stupid grievances" said Janice with her fist clenched tightly.
"Of course and I never intended to do that in the first place. The boy wanted to play hero and sacrifice himself for a girl, isn't that familiar?" Jason asked still having his wicked grin "well, back to what I was saying, Jace was the one who triggered the monsters berserk nature drawing them to himself and away from Eve Sinclair with his sickly body and I decided to complete what he started"
"So you decide to save the young girl and abandon your nephew to die" said Miranda calmly which did not bound well with any of them present here.
Jason gulped down hard as he knew that when ever his mother is this calm, she was about to do something very crazy and dangerous, but since he has already come this far, there is nothing that his going to save him so he just have to spill everything out in the open.
"Yes I did, he is a waste and a stain to the Norman name and I just can't let him continue to be the bad blood so when I saw an opportunity to get rid of him, I did not hesitate and jumped on it" he said with no remorse.
"Good, good, since you decide to take matters into your own hands without informing either one of us and you have deemed your nephew to be completely useless and is nothing more than a trash, what would you think if I were to make your daughter one?"
Janice and Jason eyes widen in shock when they heard what their mother said.
"What? Did it come as a shock to you? Do you now understand what Jace means to his father, to this family? Even if he was truly a trash, what gave you the right to have discard him like that? Jace was my grandson and I would do anything to make sure he is well and you were supposed to be supportive and make sure that he is to be treated and get better because he is your nephew but because of your greed and your insecurity, you turned a blind eye to him in his most vulnerable state and now because of that, the fate of the boy is unknown, what do you have to say for that?" Miranda asked as her body shake in anger and the skies were all cloudy, lightening crackled, the roars of the thunders could be heard throughout the city, the wind blew heavily causing the citizens to run into their apartment and everyone who saw this phenomenon knew that the Storm Goddess is extremely pissed and there is nobody who could calm her down right now.
Silence prevailed in the room as Jason and his mother engaged in a face off.
"You wouldn't dare do that to your granddaughter"
"Try me, I have had a grandson sick all his life, I can also manage with another one"
"Father you can't let her do that, Jade is the best among her peers, mother can't do that to her"
Jason pleaded with his father hoping he would support him on this one but to his greatest surprise, he was on his own on this one.
"I only give you one chance, bring back Jace alive and I will forgive your transgression but failure to do so, your daughter Jade would pay the price"
Miranda said standing up and leaving the Hall after saying her piece leaving her husband and her two children.
"Father, say something"
Jason called out to his father only to receive a cold stare from him "as from today, you have been relieved of your position as the Family Heir, Janice is" said James also leaving.
Jason clenched his fists tightly bleeding himself out.
Janice on the other hand just stood there looking shocked at how fast things played out.
Most people would be happy that she got the position of the Family Heir but she was not most people, she is not her brother Jason, who would go to any length to keep his position.
Speaking of Jason, she looked at him with pity knowing he is a very deep shit, "make sure you find Jace real quick before Jared comes back if not, Jade being deprived of her gift would be the least of your worries" she said and stormed out of the Hall not wanting to look at her brother anymore.
"It is all because of that bastard" said Jason hitting the floor really hard.

A loud explosion occurred killing lots of monsters that were around the vicinity of where the explosion occurred.
And the one responsible for this explosion was not far off either as he watched the whole thing unfold in his eyes.
