Chapter 50

At the critical moment just when the Maserati was about to crash into Ashton, a figure sprung out of nowhere and pushed him to the side.

The Maserati charged forward and collided with four cars in succession before it screeched to a halt on the load-bearing wall of the underground garage. The Maserati finally stopped. The front of the car was smashed into smithereens, almost embedded into the load-bearing wall.

Struggling to get up from Ashton's body, Julia felt as though all the bones in her body had shattered like glass. She raised her head and saw that the Maserati could no longer target them. Relieved, she let out a long sigh and promptly slumped into Ashton's arms.

Ashton hugged her tightly and slowly got up from the ground. His eyes took in Julia’s near unconscious state and his gaze became unusually cold as he called her name out in a low voice, "Julia. Julia, are you okay?"
