Get A Divorce
Chuck was shocked by by the words from his mother in law. However, he wasn't expecting and good news from her. Maybe it's a good idea for Allison to divorce me after all this family don't like me at all, but I do love Allison even though she doesn't love me, I have been hoping that one day she will love me back but that day seems to be in my next life. Chuck was lost in thoughts.
Allison received a call from her mother, Allison my daughter, how are you with your boyfriend? asked Allison's mother, we are fine, Mom why are you calling me at this time of the night, is everything ok back home? Allison you need to divorce this good for nothing husband of yours and get things going with Louis. What is it again Mom what has he done again? please can we discus this tomorrow when I get back home? with that she disconnected the call and went back to sleep.
Did I heard it right, divorce me and get things going with Louis? Chuck was standing outside the door when Allison's mother Yvonne was making a call. So she is cheating on me? Chuck was so weak to a point his legs were about to give up but he supported himself avoiding the fall. He went to his room which was outside the house, sitting on his small bed and was lost in thoughts.
Early in the morning, he was woken up by the buzzling of his phone he woke up with blurred vision and looked at the screen of his phone. It was Allison who was calling, he hesitated answering the call then after some few seconds he answered. Why aren't you picking my calls you lazy thing? Chuck didn't utter any word he kept silent listen to Allison who by now was sounding like a mad woman. Come quickly and pick me up from work then the call was disconnected.
From Work? this woman is such a good liar does she think that I don't know that she wasn't on duty, should I go or just stay back?. As Chuck was thinking on what to do, he decided not to go, how dare you cheat on me, lie to, then ask me to come pick you, do you think I am a toy just to be played with? Chuck murmured to himself. After about an hour, Chuck heard a knock on the door, Ooh not again please tell me that its not my wicked mother in law Chuck whispered at the back of his mind. Upon opening the door, he was shocked to see Allison standing right outside the door.
She was so furious and she started scolding Chuck like a small child.
Chuck stood there like a robot receiving all the insults from his wife which he did not cared by the way since he was used to that, then his mother in law joined the show and they continued throwing words to him. Allison digged her hand in her bag then whaaaas an envelop was tossed onto Chucks hands. Those are the divorce papers you should sign then now and leave right after you have signed.
What is happening, what have I done to make you want a divorce from me? Chuck asked, I don't know just sign and leave you should stop wasting my time. Chuck was left with no option rather than signing the documents just as he was about to go back to his room to pack, a black Mercedes drove into the compound Chuck did not have time to check who it was.
Just as he was about to enter, Allison's Mother shouted at him, and where do you think you are going? am going to pack my things and leave your house, pack what? there is nothing of your own in that room just leave my compound right now. But my clothes and my documents are in there, your clothes? Allison's mother asked, those clothes you bought with my daughters money so pick you so called documents and leave.
Chuck got inside the room, picked an album of his parents pictures, picked his Identity card and rushed outside only to see Allison kissing a young man who drove in the Mercedes. he couldn't understand what was going on all he was thinking right now was where to go he didn't have a job neither did he had money to rent himself a house. Just as he got outside the gate, his eyes started watering due to emotions. Not only has he been kicked out, he was forced to divorce his wife and even saw his wife kissing another man.
Everything had turned against him in just a blink of an eye he felt as if the world was ending.
Back in Miller's villa, Miller received a call from his private detective that he had hired to follow up on every thing about Chuck. Hello sir the young mister has been thrown out by Allison's mother and also he was forced to divorce his wife, where is he now? Miller asked in a very cold voice, he is just walking to nowhere.
follow him up and update me on his where abouts, I will send my men to pick him up just make sure that no one notices you. Alright sir
Chuck was wondering around not knowing where he is going neither where he will be living, nor what he will be eating. I need to get a job It doesn't matter what kind of a job I will get as far as it will help me rent a small house and have something to eat, but where am I going to get a job? Chuck decided to enter in a nearby restaurant to ask if they can hire him even if it's a dish washing job he will really appreciate, But luck was not on his side just as he entered the restaurant, he inquired about a job and he was told that they weren't hiring at the moment. Alright thank you he said to the person who told him that they aren't hiring and got out.
