"Mom, let's finally do it," Han Li said.

Yue Li didn't speak, but her anticipation was evident. He had promised this for a while now, and she really, really appreciated it.

It really felt wrong for him to do it, and she was probably supposed to say no to that no matter what, but she just couldn't do it. She couldn't say no to that.

She wanted him to do it.

She didn't mind doing the same to him in return, either.

She was also pretty sure—just like he was sure—that she would regain her confidence in herself fully after this, too.

Han Li comfortably carried his mother and placed her in a nice position atop the bed. She looked at him with anticipation but didn't tell him to do anything; in her deepest mind, she still felt this was rather wrong.
