8 Nut

"I would drive " Geb said in a flat tone. Nessy didn't bulge, she just threw the keys at him after all, she was the boss and shouldn't drive her employee. 'Finally you now see me as your boss' she thought with a smile.

Geb just stared at her. He will ever be able to understand her. First he irritated her, now she's proud that he offered to drive. Nevertheless, he made no comments. He just stepped into the car, it wasn't the larmbo from last night, this time around it was a Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. He got to the drivers seat and sat, making himself comfortable. He looked at the passengers seat for the sight of Nessy, but she wasn't there. Rather, she was standing by the door of the back seat, waiting for him to open the door for her.

Geb felt the urge to laugh but forced it down immediately, knowing it would irritate her. He just acted like he didn't see her there or maybe thought she was in the car already and then started the car.

Nessy felt defeated, she just opened the door angrily and entered the car.

"Oh princess, were you outside, l didn't know, l would have come to obey the rules of courtesy" Geb said sarcastically with a sly smile. Nessy knew he was being sarcastic but she didn't reply. She just relaxed her self in the car and said in a flat tone "just drive".

*the time of the gods, ancient Egypt *

(The abode of air god Shu)

"My lord" Bo said, bowing slightly to the Egyptian god of air.

"Rise". Shu said with authority.

"My lord you sent for me" Bo said again waiting to hear from his lord.

"Yes Bo, l sent for you to ask about the ritual of earth, the annual sacrifice made to the earth god, my son, Geb" Shu said

"Yes, my lord what would you like to know about the annual ritual". Bo said now raising up his head to look at his lord. He might be immortal, but he was still the servant of a god and must show utmost respect. "I want to know if the ritual would still hold in its supposed time which is five days and five nights from now, because even though the god of the earth has been sent out of our time by me, he is still in Egypt and you know what the absence of a high ranked god can cause in Egypt, so that is why l still left him here though not in our time, but the fact still remains that he must be appeased for his contribution as a god and the contribution he would still make in the times to come as a god of Egypt that he is" Shu said, as he walked to and fro with his arms crossed behind his back .

"My lord, so sorry to disappoint you but the supreme father has ordered to speak to you, before considering if the ritual would still hold, for reasons best known to himself". Bo said, feeling unsatisfied that he couldn't give his lord a direct answer.

"Then l shall go to him" Shu said, now facing Bo. "Watch Nut carefully till l return" he said before transforming to his god form and flew outside his abode, heading to Sun city. He would have just teleported, but he wanted to take the ride so that he can cool off his head before meeting the supreme father.

"Are you willing to risk what to sacrificed for that son of yours to be separated from his sister, just for some mere ritual of mortals". Ra asked upon the arrival of Shu without looking at him.

"Supreme father" Shu said with a bow

"I asked a question " Ra retorted now looking at him. "Do you think that your son deserves any honor, he was banished from our time by you" he said pointing fingers at Shu.

"You made me do it " Shu said trying to push the blame to his father.

"I? " Ra laughed. "I may have influenced you, but you took the decision, you thought your options through before using the hourglass on him, and l trust that you're not that dumb to know that the ritual shall also strengthen him and who knows, he might be able to break the bonds of the spell".

" You are right supreme father". Shu started, "l thought my options through before l took actions. And l have this strong feeling that he has found a consort, and you know what that implies" he said with confidence. "Also, you know what will happen if the ritual doesn't hold. He would become weak and his god aura would begin to detoriate " he said getting worried.

He knew his father understood him well because no one knows the benefits of sacrifice to a god more than Ra. Since their strength don't base on mortal food, their only source of strength and impact was from sacrifices and adoration.

"Shu" Ra sighed "its just a feeling, you can't be sure he has found a consort that he cherishes more than Nut. And besides you are a god and shouldn't work by assumptions. Nut is still here and if Geb finds his way to our time, consort or no consort, l still believe that He and Nut will continue in their abomination of incest". He ended with a look of disgust on his face.

Shu was now subdued. "What says thou, l do father" he said in his god tone and a bow, which means he is accepting defeat from his father.

"Rise my son" Ra said with authority feeling satisfied. "The ritual must not hold, even if it will lessen his authority, its for the best so that he can learn his lesson by going behind my back. And for his contributions as the earth god, l shall assist his impacts as the supreme father so that Egypt won't feel his absence or the loses if it. Besides, he is still a god and his impact will still be felt, as well as his contributions so far as he is still in Egypt so missing the ritual won't change anything apart from lessen his fat ego". He ended in authority.

"As you wish supreme father " Shu said as he bowed and turned to leave. "Make sure to keep a close eye on Nut, that daughter of yours must not be let out see the sky, else her manipulations won't be cleared easily with the amount of anger burning in her, for l am aware that you put her into a lasting trance. Just make sure to be at guard when she wakes up" Ra said. Shu just bowed and left.

He arrived at his abode, in his chambers. Tefnut stormed in immediately on sensing his presence with a worried look on her face. "Shu! " she cried running into his embrace. Shu was worried by the look on her face, he has seen her worried many times but she looked like she has lost her will which is the worst thing that can happen to a god.

"What is it? " he said cupping her face.

"Nut... " she she said within breathes.

"Speak Tefnut", Shu ordered.

"Nut is awake and out of control" she said as tears voluntarily flowed down her cheeks.

"Where is she? " Shu asked with worry.

"She flew out her room in her god form and l believe she went to her abode in the sky". Tefnut said still in tears.

"Stop thy tears from flowing, l will handle her" Shu said in an assuring tone. 'Bo! ' he called telepathically. And he appeared immediately before him.

"Summon other gods, tell them that the goddess of sky is on the loose and is out of control. So they should expect the worst due to the effect of her will and also they should protect and guard the mortals. Moreover, tell them not to report the situation to the supreme father because l have everything in control ". Shu said, he knew that his father was already aware of the situation , due to his will to be all knowing. He just wanted every one to be on guard.

At that, Bo vanished into thin air to deliver the message.

"Tefnut stay here and be on guard as well. I will handle Nut". He said cupping her face and placing a kiss on her cheek.

He transformed into his god form immediately and flew out heading towards Nut's abode in the sky.

Nut was out of control, her blues orbs were now white, her white hair floated in the air as she folded her legs while she hung on the air, she was in her god form. She looked magnificent like the goddess she was. She had wings like her father and wore a white feather like gown which has a long split, exposing her tighs and making her look amazing, beautiful and powerful and also dangerous. She was too fumed to sit on her throne and her whole being glowed white.

All her servants had left the abode in fear, immediately she arrived without control of her being. She had woken up from the trance her father put her in. He had asked of Geb and couldn't find so she just concluded that her father had destroyed his soul or taken away his will. Whichever it was, none sounded good to her, so she just lost control and left his abode to stay in hers and try to calm down .

"Nut" Shu said in a caring tone. Nut just straighten her legs, now standing on the air as she turned to look at the one that denied her of her love and brother. Immediately, she cried out in pain and frustration, and it began to rain hail in Egypt.
