He's Dangerous

Chapter 8 He's Dangerous

"I'll take you to so many places, Make sure you eat snacks from Trina's treats every day, I'll buy you all your favorite candies... And also, you could do whatever you want, and no guards will be around to keep an eye on you," he continued.

Lucy's mouth opened and closed again and she blinked twice.

It was everything she ever wanted. All her life, she was told what to do, how to do it, and when to do it. Private guards were always following everywhere. She felt like being watched every time and had to be careful not to do anything embarrassing in public, lest the guards saw her.

The only time she only got to make her own decision was choosing the university to go to. However, even when she was at school the guards would be disguised in civilians clothing and watching her every move.

She lowered her head and fumbled with her fingers.

"I know it is what you desire... Just say the word, Princess, and your problems will become history."

His voice broke her out of her thoughts and she looked up then opened her mouth and closed it once more.

"No... I don't need your help," she blurted out after some seconds, with a raised chin.

Just now, she had almost given in to his offer. Then, her sisters-in-law's words rang through her ears.

'Those twins are dangerous, Lucy... You have to keep your distance from them.'

'You're so innocent and don't know the dangers outside your shelter... Those guys have destroyed a lot of men and shattered many businesses, you wouldn't want to associate yourself with them.'

'They'll break and wreck your heart, Lucy. Run for your life the instant you cross paths with them.'

'Many people were kicked out of the business world because of them. They're so cunning and full of vicious tricks.'

'From now on... You're forbidden from seeing or communicating with them... It is for your own good.'

Those were their words after her last encounter with them. She doesn't want to remember the expression on her parents' faces and even her Big Brother got mad at her at that time. And her car was confiscated because of that incident. And she hadn't gotten any chance to leave the mansion until last night.

"Okay." Greg raised both hands in the air and grinned. "If you ever change your mind–" he paused mid-sentence then drew open the bedside table and brought out a small object. "Just tap it, and I'll be right there like your humble knight in shining armor."

He tossed the object to her and Lucy studied it with furrowed brows. The tiny round thing only has a small button, which was barely visible, at the center. It looks exactly like– 'wait' her eyes widened.

"W... What is this!?" She threw it back to him and took a step back.

"Relax girl." He smirked then stood up and sauntered forward. He paused in front of her, before taking her bag and opening the zipper. "It's not a bomb... Besides, if I want to destroy people, I'll do it in a place where you aren't present... Haven't had enough fun yet you know, I can't let you die yet," he lowered his head and whispered it in her ear, that glint had returned to his eyes once more.

Lucy gulped and took another step back. She snatched her back from his hand and dashed out of the room.

When she stepped out of the huge Villa, she pressed her back against the small fenced door and pressed both hands on her chest while panting heavily.

That guy was truly dangerous. So all the rumors were true. He could really bomb people up if he wanted to?

Her heart pounded heavily and she could hear her own heartbeats. When she managed to get a hold of herself and also calmed her heartbeat, her eyes darted to the other Villa that was facing his.

Just then, her pupils dilated. The other twin. That must be his house. As both villas look exactly alike. Even though they weren't the only villas in the residential area, they could easily grab anyone's attention. 'Who paints their house all red for goodness sake.'

She quickly took out her phone and switched it on then dialed her friend's number, hoping he hadn't done anything crazy to her.

After placing the phone in her ear she tapped her foot on the floor while her eyes darted around for any sign of a taxi.

Just when she thought the call was not going to be answered, luckily after the last ring it was picked up from the other end.

"Lucy... what is it?" Came Gina's lazy voice. "You better have a good explanation for disturbing my beauty sleep."

Lucy let out a sigh of relief as her expression brightened. That means the girl was safe. "Gina, don't go anywhere, okay? I'll come to your house, so you could help me tell Mum and Father that I spent the night at your place."

"Huh?" Gina's confused tone came from the other end, then she yawned. "I'm not home, Lucy... I found this handsome guy at the bar last night and he gave me a ride to heaven."

'Oh, no.' Lucy flew a hand to her mouth and gasped. She quickly stopped a taxi that was passing by and then entered it. "Gina, don't tell me you're with..." She trailed off as a guy's chuckle came from the phone.

"Yeah, I'm with Greg." Gina's voice came again, and she could hear the guy's voice saying something, then the girl repeated, "I mean George... Hehehe."

"Gina!?" Lucy sighed helplessly. "Remember that we were warned never to–"

"He's so sweet, Lucy..." The girl whined then after a brief pause, she chuckled and continued. "Don't worry, I won't tell Auntie and Uncle that you spent the night at George, I mean Greg's place... If you don't breathe any word to my sister-in-law or brother."
