« A…new kind of system » whispered Chiyoko surprised
« Yeah, that's what I said » I said as I made my way to the boat's flight deck.
« Wait, wait for me! I have lots of questions to ask you! » I hear Chiyoko shout in the command post as I arrive on the flight deck.
After a little sprint from the princess, she arrived right next to me, next to the ladder that leads to the water.
« What kind of interface do you have? How does the system interact with the world? Is it free or do you have to pay?.... » Chioky bombarded me with questions curiously.
« Stop! Too many questions at once » I say bored
« So..sorry. It's just that it's the first time that someone has a different system and their system changes the environment. »
« I understand and will answer your questions as best I can once we get settled into the base. Ok ? »
« OK I understand. But, can I ask you just one question?» Chiyoko asked
« Yes, you can » I replied

As the princess chased after me and bombarded me with questions, I was stripping down to get my Diving equipment on to head to my base.
I want to go there to improve it and make it liveable for both of us.
For now, apart from water and concrete, there is nothing else.
I could have gone there with the boat but I don't want to waste fuel for that and even less to sleep with construction noises.
« I'm getting my Diving equipment to go to the base to set it up for both of us » I replied, putting on the scuba suit.
« Diving equipment?" And what is it? »
« It's used to be less cold in the water, to go faster, to be able to breathe underwater and to see better in the water »
« To breathe underwater? Like a fish? »
« No, I have an oxygen bottle with which I can breathe underwater » I explain to Chiyoko

« OK, I've got it. It can be very practical for infiltration if you don't get attacked by creatures » she said before falling silent.
It took me another 10 minutes to get all the Diving equipment under Chiyoko's watchful eye.
And after I finished gearing up, an idea popped up.
"How about I give her some diving equipment? "
If she had that kind of equipment, then we could do reconnaissance or infiltration together.
Also, the equipment is not expensive.
So, I opened my system with the idea of buying a dive kit for her.
Once bought, I take out all the equipment that is in my inventory to give to her.
« Uhhh what are you doing? » she asked with wide eyes
« I'll give you the same equipment I have, so you can do the dive too »I replied.

Well, it's time to dive in and go improve the base.
But before jumping, I take a last look at Chiyoko to see if everything is ok.
And luckily, I looked because I can see it in her eyes that she is completely lost.

It took 30 minutes to gear up and explain to Chiyoko how to put on her gear and how it works.
Once finished, I was finally able to go to the base to improve it.
And while I'm upgrading it, the princess is testing her gear in the cove.
Currently, I'm sitting on the edge of the harbor thinking about how to lay out the base and I've come to this conclusion.
I will do several very specific floors.
The ground floor will be used for all land and naval vehicles.
The floor below will be used for everything related to the proper functioning of the base, everything related to water treatment, electricity production, ….
And the floor above will serve as a living space. I am also thinking of putting weapon storage and a place where we can train.
And as for airplanes and helicopters, I haven't decided where to put them yet.
Well, I like this layout of the base and I don't see too many arguments against it. So, I'll go with that.
The problem is money. I only have 311,500 silvers. I won't go far.
So, I'll just focus on the essentials. That is to say drinking water, a place to sleep, a place to cook and where to eat and a bathroom.

With that thought, I open my system and head to the base function.
Once arrived, I just see a search bar and more suggestion.
It bothers me a lot because the system had good advice but it does not matter.
By clicking on the search bar, a virtual keyboard appears.
I write "elevator" on it and once done, I click "enter".
As soon as I did that, an elevator tab appeared for 50,000 silvers.
It's quite expensive but I don't have much choice. I don't feel like carrying things up the stairs.
I select and buy the elevator.
As soon as I bought it, the system asks me where to put it.
I thought of the middle of the port but if I do another port, I would surely put them on the side. So, I put the elevator at the start on the right.
Once done, the system offers me to create other floors for 12,500 silvers, which I accept. I ask for a floor above and another floor below.
"I have already spent 75,000 silvers just for the floors. I'm going to have to go quickly and find something to fill the boxes. "
Before launching the smoke bomb, I will finish my purchases and launch all the smoke bombs at once.
Good, now that the elevator and the floors are good, I can move on to drinking water.
I go back to the search bar and write "water purifier "
After clicking on "enter", I see a water purifier for 50,000 silvers.
I take it and put it on the lower floor, just to the left of the elevator.
Once asked, a notification informs me that the water purifier needs a pump and that, precisely, the system offers a pump for 12,500 silvers.

Since I have no choice, I take it too.
I go back to the search bar to now search for a kitchen.
The system offers me a kitchen for 25,000 silvers, I take it and I will put it later, once I have bought everything.
The kitchen is done, I am now looking for a dining room and two options are available to me.
A canteen for 25,000 silvers with about fifty seats and a dining room for officers at 25,000 silvers with just 10 seats.
I took the dining room for the officers. I don't plan to have 50 people under me. Moreover, I have to think instead. The canteen takes up a lot of space compared to the one for the officers.
Well, the place to eat is done, I have to look for rooms and as for the dining room, two options are available to me.
A dormitory with about fifty places for 25,000 silvers and an officer's room for 15,000 silvers.
With the same reasoning as that of the dining room, I left with 2 rooms for officers.
I just miss a bathroom now.
And when I search, I see showers for 25,000 silvers, toilets for 12,500 silvers and an officer's bathroom for 50,000 silvers.
Since I don't want to have too many pieces, I'm going to go with the bathroom but this time I'm just going to take one.
I'll have to share it with Chiyoko.
"I hope she doesn't take an hour in the bathroom every day"
Now that I have everything and am 267,500 silvers less rich, I start placing my purchases.
But of course, that would have been too easy.
The system does not tell me enough space and asks me to make a corridor for 10,000 silvers and of course I give in because I have no choice.
Once the hallway is missing, I place the kitchen at the very back on the right.
Opposite, I place the dining room for the officers.
Then I place the bathroom in front of the elevator and a notification tells me that I need something to treat the wastewater and the system, in its greatest kindness, just offers me one for 20,000 silvers. And as usual, I took it and put it right next to the water purifier.

Now I have more than 14,000 silvers. I really need silvers but before going to get some, I still have to put the two chambers.
I place one on the left of the bathroom and the other on the right.
That's it, everything is bought and placed.
I just have to launch the smoke bombs and the system will take care of the rest.
I throw all the smoke bombs in the water and the cove turns into a haunted cove with all that smoke.
Shortly after, I hear the hum of an airplane engine in the sky.
And a few moments later, I can see a lot of packages parachuting from several cargo planes.
"I feel like I'm not going to sleep tonight"
