I am a Fish

"Finally Free" said a boy who seem to be in his teens as he was about to jump off a cliff.

The boy had long black hair that went down to his shoulders. His face had a V shape that made him look like a model and his eyes were black and looked lifeless.

Another boy with short blond hair and green eyes running going to shouted "NOO IZUMI WAIT DON'T JUMP".

But he was too late for Izumi had jumped already.

While falling Izumi enjoyed the feeling of the wind rushing against his face and blowing through his long black hair as he fell.

He was falling for awhile until his body hit

*Splat*

Against the sea water.

Falling from that height and hitting stomach first on the water's surface would cause the water to become like cement.

His guts scattered everywhere, one of his leg broke off and the other had his bones pointing out. Where he landed the water changed red from all of the blood he had lost. His body then sank in the water leaving his leg that broken off and intestines floating on the surface.

Everything went dark until he felt like he could open his eyes again.

His eyes opened slowly as the light rushed in.

After he opened his eyes he was still in the ocean, but he felt different, he could breathe, smell and swim with ease as if he was doing it his whole life. His body felt lighter than ever, he swam at a fast paste enjoying his freedom.

He looked around the ocean as he did see and life or plants just blue that looked like it stretched forever, he looked down below to see just more water, but down there gave him a weird and anxious feeling.

*Rumble*

The sound of his belly rumbling snapped him out of his sight seeing. He was so hungry.

For someone who committed suicide and was reincarnated as a fish he was calm and seemed not to care.

But right now all he was thinking about was finding something to eat. He swam forward and went down a bit but not too far since he didn't know what was down there. After swimming for a while, he saw a school of little fish swimming coming his direction.

He swam as fast as he could in excitement that he found food, his mouth had a big grin on it as he swam toward the fish with his mouth opened as wide as it could. To his surprise he was quite fast, he arrived in front the school of fish in seconds, they didn't even notice him until he started devouring them like a vacuum cleaner sucking up dust bunnies. He didn't even bother to chew, he swallowed them whole. They went right in his stomach, he didn't even gulp.

After he started eating them, the little fish scattered trying not to be devoured but he chased them until ate them all. Although some still got away. After he swallowed the last he was bloated but then he burped sending little air bubbles up from his mouth up to the surface.

The messages were displayed in front on Izumi's face. The messages were blue with white characters. After all of this Izumi seemed unfazed by the fact he had a system. In his previous life, he spent his free time reading manga so he was familiar with the concept.

That same voice proceeded to say...

I am tired. Izumi started swimming going down because he was most likely not going to find a place to rest at where he was. He was swimming down for while, the water down there was denser. The pressure on his body was increasing as he went lower. Swimming for a while again he saw the bottom. They were couple plants here but no fish. Swimming closer to the bottom he realized that it wasn't the bottom it was a huge ravine. The ravine had a huge crack in the middle that that went even further down.

Izumi didn't even think about going down there. "This is a ravine, there must be a cave somewhere" Izumi said thinking aloud. Izumi kept moving but he didn't go down, he was checking the terrain looking for a cave.

He found a cave... This cave was a big hole in the ground that had Izumi in the center look like and ant.

This cave gave Izumi a weird and ominous feeling like something was repelling and urging him not to go in.

But there wasn't any other caves so he went in. Swimming down in the cave, the pressure was lighter than outside.

Inside this dark cave Izumi laid on the side of the cave, just in case something was coming in or out, he wouldn't be in the way.

Izumi laid there and immediately fell asleep. While he was asleep his body had undergone certain changes.

Izumi opened his eyes slowly.

He felt better than before it felt even lighter and he felt like he could move easier.

Looking at himself Izumi also noticed that he had increase in size. Before he was 1 foot and 5 inches but now he was 2 foot long. His scales got slightly bigger and had a gray glossy look.

System, what happened while I was asleep.

Izumi got up and started swimming deeper into the cave.

While swimming Izumi asked the system how to use magic. the system then proceeded to explain how magic works.

[Magic comes from mana. Mana is one's magic power. The higher one's magical power the strong magic one can use...]

The system went on talking forever. From what Izumi heard and summarized...

Mana comes from nature, it is in the air all around us. Any one can use mana. From the time one is born, the have a capacity for mana. It doesn't increase no matter what you do. But Izumi was an acceptance to this thanks to the system, his mana could increase. Humans use chanting magic which is magic that is casted through memorizing an incantation. This magic uses less mana and isn't powerful because most human have a low mana capacity. They are different realms:

The first realm is the lowest.

Anyway...

To use magic you have to imagine it. Like how big it will be and how fast it would move. But the bigger and faster it is the more mana it will consume.
