11 CALMING THE STORM

ALEXIS

Kenny and I waited patiently outside our class for Aiden.

It was lunch time now and we'd agreed to eat together.

"Is he still coming?"Kenny asked.

I shook my head "I don't know"

I was anxious that something might have happened to him . Did Liam and Grey strike again?

Suddenly I saw Grey running towards me "Friend, hi" he said smiling.

If Grey was here that means they didn't do anything to Aiden right? I thought.

"Friend" Grey called out again waving his hand Infront of me .

Kenny stood Infront of me as Grey scoffed"Who are you ?"

Kenny smiled"Her friend."

"I mean who are you to interrupt me while I'm talking to her"

"I am -"

As Kenny and Grey bickered,my gaze went to the front door of the school and there I saw Aiden and Katherina running in hand in hand.

I shifted my gaze back to Kenny and tapped him"Hey, let's go"

Kenny and I walked away as Grey cursed out scratching the back of his head"Sh*t!"

He went to find Liam and whispered in his ears"Hey, have you seen my sister?"

Liam shook his head"No. No one has seen her since. Have you heard? Her mate is a -"

"Don't say it!"Grey sneered"Anyways, do you know who her mate is ? "

Liam shook his head.

"Find out and get back to me. Is that taken?"

"Yes"

Grey walked away grumbling in frustration.

Meanwhile Kenny and I walked to the cafeteria.

"What happened? Why did you insist we leave?"Kenny asked.

Why had I insisted we leave? Was it because I didn't want Aiden to see me with Grey and get the wrong idea? Or was it because I saw him with Katherina and got the wrong idea?

I faked a smile at Kenny "It's lunch time. There's no need bickering with Grey. We came out to eat remember?"

"But Aiden isn't her-"

"We can eat without him"

Kenny nodded his head"let's eat then"

We ate in silence until Kenny spoke up "I'm sure it's not what you think"

"What is ?"

"I saw him too. With Katherina as they walked in"

I was caught"There's nothing bypassing you, is there?"

Kenny smiled"I'm pretty observant you know. Anyways, don't take it the wrong way, okay?"

I nodded my head. For some weird reason I always feel like Kenny was trying to help Aiden and I with our relationship.

Maybe that's why I always felt ease around him.

"Thank you" I said

"If you are really grateful, pay for my lunch"

I shrieked "What??"

Kenny laughed "I was joking.You should have seen your face"

"Don't joke like that or I might just get indigestion"

"Hurry up and eat. We need to get back to class"

I nodded my head and we continued eating.

Soon we started hearing murmurs once more and it was because Jessica had come back to school.

She walked towards me and I didn't know if I should cower in fear or not.

"Hey, where's your boyfriend?" She asked.

"Why do you ask?"

She sniffled her nose"Tell him thank you for what he did "

She then turned around and walked away.

"What do you think that's about?" Kenny asked.

I shook my head"I don't know."

The school bell rang signalling that lunch was over.

We stood up and headed for the last period.

It was Mr mark's class. Aiden and I shared this class together.

As I walked in, I saw Aiden smiling and waving at me.

I smiled back and took my seat beside him as we talked as if we were separated from eachother for a decade and not just one period.

AIDEN

"I'm sorry, I couldn't join you for lunch"I said to Alexis as I walked her back home after school.

"It's okay"

I had to tell her about Jessica."Actually, I was with Jessica. I went to comfort her. She didn't look well"

Alexis clapped her hands"That's right, I almost forgot. She said I should tell you thank you "

I smiled widely as I took Alexis into my arms.

"So suddenly?"she asked taken aback by my action.

"I'm happy that you are here by my side. Thank you"

I could feel her smile as she hugged me back. This was everything I'd ever wanted.

For the one person I'd always loved to hug me this way and now thanks to our unprecedented situation, it was happening.

I was really happy way beyond words.

I refrained from Alexis"Are you happy...with me ?"

I was happy but I wasn't sure if she was. She'd never had romantic feelings for me so I didn't want it to seem like she had to force herself just because we were mates now.

"You know, it's really okay if you aren't-"

I was cut off by a short peck on the lips as I looked at a beaming Alexis.

"I'm happy,honestly"She replied.

I smiled shyly as we stopped Infront of her house"You should go in now"

I wanted her to leave because with the way I was feeling ontop of the world right now, my wolf was hungry and starving.

Not for food but for her.

She nodded her head and walked inside .

When I thought I could finally breathe, she came out and said shyly"Aiden, would you like to come inside?"

A million thoughts ran through my head. Should I go in?

"Go in" my wolf screamed with over excitement.

I clenched my fist trying to decide wisely.

"Let's go in, please"my wolf cried.

I took in deep breaths as I made my decision
