24: Baiting The Mouse (2)

Two days after the Izabelle's meet up with Leo, she got a call from her child's father's mother.

Inviting her to have a friendly dinner and wanting to catch up to her.

Izabelle already knew what the snake is planning. She didn't want to go but she already promised for her cooperation with Leo. Besides she can't pass up the compensation that she will receive for it.

Agreeing to what the sneaky snake would like to do, she prepared for the day that they would meet up.

She informed Leo if their upcoming so-called friendly dinner.

Leo immediately sent a small filming device.

A crazy snake when cornered will do everything she can to escape. An audio device will not suffice as evidence so Leo prepared for this custom-made filming device.

'The snake finally made its move'

Leo did not stray far too much from his schedule. He knew that one of his crazy aunt will plant a mole to watch for his every move.

Well surprises!

He also sent people to watch over the family, his aunt's eldest son's actions as well as digging for their dark deeds.

He needs to deal a powerful strike where the mouse can't escape.

He wants to deal with this matter as fast as possible so he could spend his time for his family and make Raiver his again.

Problems after problems, what a mess!

Both sides are preparing for the upcoming showdown.

Little did they know, a certain individual is sitting in the VIP seat watching as the drama unfold.

He is a side character to this play that they were building. And all he needs to do is to act his part and make things much more dramatic.

Kinda like a free food for the media.

Well, he already invited some media personnel for this big scope!

He then took a sip from his cola and started wait for the climax.

Finally, the dinner came!

Izabelle nervously took a step in into the hotel where the snake's nest is.

'Don't be too nervous. All I have to do it to act my part and make myself look like a victim in her palms. Pretending to play right through her game. I did not become an A-list actress if I can't perform this easy role of mine'

After reminding herself of this statement, determination filled Izabelle's eyes.

Leo did so much for her in past.

When they were still lovers, he did do a pretty good job for doing his role as her boyfriend.

He never treated her like an insignificant one hence treats her like a princess like she deserves.

It's only regrettable that she needs to split up with him because of her change of heart.

She did let go of such a capable man.

But now she knows that Leo will only be truly happy if he is by Raiver's side. She envies him for making the renowned tyrant fall hard for him.

Now Leo doesn't want to let him go and will do anything in his power to make Raiver stay by his side. Such possessiveness passed the height of a high-rise building.

She only wished for that omega to not leave Leo be because the demon might conduct a worldwide search for just a single person.

Smiling from these thoughts, Izabelle shook her head to get herself together.

How can she afford to let her guard down when facing a tricky snake?

She needs to make her performance a remarkable one.

After confirming of her presence to the hotel's staff, she is directed to the highest floor of the building.

She is surrounded by men in black suit. The elevator travel is so awkward. The atmosphere is so tense. She actually tried to talk to one of the men in suit but only got a silent response.

Obviously, they are not there for a chitchat.

They need to make sure that the package is delivered safely.

Getting inside of the only room in the penthouse, Izabelle can't help but gasp.

The spacious and well-decorated room speaks for the owner's wealth.

Even the furniture, flowers, paintings sheets and the carpet screams of its many zeros price tags.

'And yet here is the snake telling me that she doesn't have enough money to give financial support for her grandson. What a cheapskate!'

Izabelle felt like sitting unto the torture chamber's chair.

She clenched her hands to gather her strength for she is facing a greedy tricky woman.

A woman in her expensive drape clothing with a custom-made coat hang over her body.

The woman is in her early fifties. With a well-applied make up and carefully styled hair, no one would think that she is that old.

Her flawless and elegant appearance oozes out an intimidating air around her. Making you want to shake on your knees.

Her charisma is no joke.

A typical rich villain lady from dramas that Izabelle performs in.

Such cliches exists.

The woman did not even glance at Izabelle's direction and continues to caress her beloved cat in her arms.

"What do you want?", Izabelle asked the woman.

This caught the woman's attention.

"My such manners you have there Ms. Shane. Oh right! That's your stage name. Isn't that right my dear Izabelle?"

"What do you need me for?", Izabelle kept her cool.

If she let this woman to go get on her nerves, she will surely lose.

Right now, she needs to keep her composure.

"Such an impatient lady we have here. Fine! Since you wanted it so badly, I'll tell you", Leo's aunt smiled.

"I want you to create a chaos. Feed the media the false information about who is your son's dad's identity. Tell them that it is Leo who got you pregnant. Tell them that he used you and threw you like a f*cktoy you are", Izabelle took this as the clue to begin her acting skills.

"What did you just call me?!"

"Why? Aren't you one?", her face seething in anger, Izabelle stood up only to receive a punch to her stomach.

She curled to the floor because of the pain.

'D*mn! That hurts! I didn't know that there will be action. I thought it was only drama!'

The sight of Izabelle on the floor curled up hurting, made the woman in from of her to smile in delight!

'B*tch! You should know your place!', the woman stood up and grabbed Izabelle's hair.

She forcefully lifted Izabelle's face and slapped her to the floor.

A blood seeped out from the corner of her mouth. The thick rings that the villainous woman wore actually delivered a painful impact after hitting her face.

The beautiful appearance of an award-winning actress is on the floor, crying her eyes out.

"You should know better! Instead of living quietly with your bastard son, you-"

"He is your son's child! You very own grandson!", Izabelle retorted.

A bodyguard helped her to sit and held both of her arms. Then Izabelle felt her face stinging after another round of face-slapping scene.

"Shut your mouth! I'm not even finish talking! You dare, a mere beta talk back to me!Know your place!", the woman spat on Izabelle's face.

"Its true. Hayden is your grandson! All I ask is a financial support from you! Or your recognition saying that you accept my son as your family!", Izabelle's pleas fell on the deaf's ears after receiving yet another round slap.

Her flawless white skin is now covered in bruise from the woman's slap. Izabelle broke into her tears. Loudly sobbing from the pain, she received.

"Listen well you peasant! So, what If it is my eldest son? He only used you, f*ck you and was thrown for being useless. Don't you know how many women came to me, claiming that my son impregnated them? The kind of people like you who wants to enter this family for status and money? I won't be fooled twice or thrice b*tch! To h*ll if they are my grandchildren! Their useless pawns anyway. Be thankful, because you're still have some use to me", the woman laughed evilly.

Realization hit Izabelle.

There are actually a few women that the snake's son got pregnant?

And she all silenced them with their unborn children because their useless?

Such monster really exists?

Izabelle trembled from the information that she extracted.

Good thing that she brought the handy filming device from Leo.

Everything words that the snake said is being recorded.

Horror displayed from Izabelle's eyes. The snake managed to compose herself and smiled towards her direction.

Her eyes threatening Izabelle.

"Do what I said beta. Our I will harm your son. And I will make sure that you won't get to act for all your life", Izabelle is shaking from her position.

She is in a helpless state.

"I, I w-will do i-it ma-madam", Izabelle responded in a shaky tone.

She is legit scared of this woman in front of her.
