"I'm what?"

"He's what?"

Sly and I asked simultaneously. 

My eyes were as wide as saucers as I glanced at the doctor who might have finally lost it.

"You're a month pregnant. It's a wonder you haven't noticed it until now." The doctor smiled at me, "right now, you need to start taking proper care of your body. It's both for your safety and that of your baby." 

"No, this can't be true." I shook my head as I tried to expel the thoughts of such an absurd thing from my mind. 

No, it can't be true. 

There is no way I can be pregnant.

"You are pregnant, Mr Lee. If you doubt our professionalism, you can check other hospitals. I bet they will have the same report." 

The more he spoke, the more it felt like there was a ringing sound in my ears. My mind wasn't making any sense of his words, at all.
