1 Prologue

Maddison:

Maddison thought that living with John and meeting him was a miracle to her, what she realizes over the years that she was with him is a total a nightmare she never saw it coming. Currently she was in bed after he raped her again after coming home last night drank from his night out with his buddies. When he came home, she was sleeping and he started yelling "Where the hell are you, you little bitch? come here right NOW!" she woke up in fear and went down to the living room, because she knew that if she didn't appear in front of him in time, he'll start to hit her until she'll lose conscious just like last time he bit the crap out of her that she end up in the hospital with a lie that she "fell from the stairs" while he was at work. "I'm here John" Maddie said with a fear, he grabbed her hair and slapped her in the face with a force that she fell to the floor. "You are the most annoying woman that I've never met in my life! The good thing about you is that no one care what happens to you, because you don't have family!" John started laughing at Maddie when she was on the floor from his slap, then grabbed her again by the hair and started to drag her to his room so he could satisfy his needs with her. After waking up from what happen to her last night, she went to the bathroom and closed the door quietly to not wake up John. What she saw on the mirror was not a shock to her, because she always saw these scars that she had on her face and body. She took a quick shower and went to the kitchen to prepare him his breakfast. While she was preparing his breakfast, she thought to herself Why I keep staying with him. I'm starting to hate myself for that, I need to get a way from this hell before he kills me one day. Maddison was tired from the way he treated her all the time, after few hours she heard his footsteps coming down the stairs toward the kitchen and she knew that she doesn't have anything to fear because his breakfast was already at the table warm and ready for him to eat. After John finished his breakfast, he just left the house without saying a word to Maddie which is why she felt relief and could take a peaceful breathing while he is at work. When Maddie saw John leaving the house, she started to plan how she'll leave this house of hell that she's been living for the past 2 years with a man that she thought was a perfect man to settle down with. What she didn't realize is that John has double personal issues, because sometimes he's nice to her but most of the time he's just using violence on her. Why I'm still here in this house? I should escape right now from here and move as far as I can from this city and as far away from John so he couldn't find me anymore. But if I do it at day light the bodyguard that he left behind to watch me will tell him every thing and then he'll definitely kill me. Maddie thought to herself while she was thinking of a way to escape from this hell.

Flashback: 2.5 years ago

Maddie was looking for a job at the newspaper in her rented apartment when she spotted a job application for the secretary position in a company name "Brown Corp.", she jumps at her feet to grab her phone and dialed the number that is in the newspaper and waited for someone to answer the phone. After a few moments a man answered the call "Brown Corp. Who may I speak to?" the person in the other side asked. "Hello, my name is Maddie and I saw at the newspaper that you're looking for a secretary, is that position is still available?" Maddie asked. "Yes, absolutely. If you want, my boss can interview you today if you want?" the man said "Yes, of course I want to come to today. I'll get my stuff and come right now!" Maddie said while she got up from the couch and started to collect the stuff she would need for the interview. The man on the other side said that his boss will wait for her, and they said their goodbyes and hang up the phone. In 10 minutes, she collected her stuff and got into her car to drive to the company. Upon arriving there, a guard stopped her. "Where are you going, Miss?" HI, I called today about an interview for a job, my name is Maddison Weber, you can ask at the office." Maddie was nervous but she didn't want to show it. The guard called the main office, and they confirm him that she is in did came for the position of Mr. Brown's secretary. He let her in and told her to press the number 20 in the elevator, Maddie thanks him and went inside. While she was walking toward the elevator, she looked around the company and was impressed with how big it was and very impressive. She felt out of the place, every person wore suites while she wore jeans and a white t-shirt for this interview. I can do it! So, what they are dressed up different then me, if Mr. Brown will like my resume, he can hire me and with the money I'll collect from my salary I can buy me better clothes. Maddie thought to her while she went to the elevator. She pressed the up button, and, in few minutes, it came, and she went inside. After getting inside the elevator, she pressed the last button, that was no. 20 indeed, just like the guard has told her. After few minutes she arrived at the last floor, feeling more nervous than she was, she took a few breaths to calm herself down and approached the desk. A young man in his late 20s' was sitting there typing something in the computer, "Hello there, I'm Maddison Weber, and I came for the interview with Mr. Brown." Maddie said to the young man, making him jump a little in his chair. "Oh, yes. Miss Weber, please follow me Mr. Brown is waiting for you." The young man said and led her to the office, where Mr. Brown sat down in his chair looking outside of the big window. Mr. Brown, Miss Weber is here for the interview with you" the young man said and left the office, leaving Maddie alone with the man that stood in front of her. "Nice to meet you, Miss Weber" he said while he reached his hand out. "Nice to meet you too, Mr. Brown, thank you for letting me come to this interview. And please, call me Maddison" Maddie said with a smile, while she shook his hand. You are very welcome, Maddison. You can call me John, I'm the CEO of this company. I'll be happy to have you as my secretary. Have a sit and we start this interview" John smiled at Maddison Finally some stupid woman came for this position. I guess I can first start slow with this one and then make her fall in love with me, so I can make her come live with me, like the other stupid women that where in this position. I'm going to have fun with this one. John thought to himself with a smile.

5 Months Later

Maddie was happy while working in the Brown Corp. the people there respected here there, even thought some of them looked at her with poison eyes, because she as dating the CEO, but she didn't care what they said or thought of her and John. John made her feel special every time, but lately he started to act strange and hit her sometimes. At first, she thought that she did something bad or was late, but it was not the problem. She was in the kitchen making dinner for them, when the door was opened and closed with force, that made her jumpy a little bit and she heard John's voice calling her. "MADDISON, come here right now!" He was screaming from the living room. Maddie left the kitchen to see what happened. When she arrived there, she saw that John was looking angry, "What's wrong John? Everything is, OK? Why are you screaming?" She asked him, looking at him with a worried eye. Out of nowhere he slapped her with all his force that made her fall to her side at the floor, Maddie held her red cheek and looked at him with watery eyes. "Why did you slapped me, John? What did I do to you?" She asked him with a shake voice. It's becoming a strange habit for him to hit her with out of nowhere. "If I want, I'll hit you as much as I want to, you stupid woman. And now, where is my dinner? Why is it not ready yet? Did you get lazy now? BRING ME MY DINNER, RIGHT NOW!" John screamed at her and started to kick her on her side of her body while he was screaming at her. Maddie tried to protect herself from his beating especially now. She wanted to give him the good news that she found out few days ago. "Please, John, stop. I'm begging you. I'm pregnant with your child!" Maddie screamed so he stopped hitting her. John stopped suddenly when she said those words. Then looked at her. "You are pregnant with my child?! Hehe, don't make me laugh Maddison. Don't you get it that I hate women? I use them as my satisfying toys for as long as I want to and then I get rid of them. So, if your pregnant with my child, we are going to the clinic and get ridden of that mutant that is growing inside of you. Because I don't want children, I hate them! You know what? I'm going to help you to get ridden of this mutant!" John grabbed her by her hair and puled her up stairs and pushed her down the long stairs, so she got miscarriage. Maddie screamed as she was rolling down the stairs, when she got to the ground she cried out of pain and looked down and saw that blood was coming down from her, and she knew that he made her lose her child.

Present Day

Maddie woke herself out from her down train of memories that she lived all this time beside John's side. She looked up at the clock and saw it was almost 6 pm and John will be home any minute no, so she run to the kitchen and started to prepare for him his dinner, because she knows that if the food won't be ready in time he comes home, her punishment will be bigger than it usually is, she didn't want to go by it again. 30 minutes later the dinner was ready right on time, because she heard the door opening and closing like always and his footsteps got closer to the kitchen. "Is my dinner ready?" John asked Maddie as he entered the kitchen. "Yes, John, it's ready. Have a sit, I'll serve it to you." Maddie's hands were shaking for fear, she was afraid of him. While she was holding a hot plate in her hand, she stripped from her foot and spilled by accident on John's leg. "YOU STUPID, BITCH! That is HOT, ARE YOU TRYING TO BURN ME OR WHAT?" John screamed as he was taking his pants off as fast as he could to not get a blister on his leg. Maddie gave him a cold towel so he could cool down the heat from his leg. "I'm sorry, John. I didn't do it on purpose, I tripped on my left leg. Please, don't kill me. I'm begging you! NO, please John, don't do it again. I promise that I won't do it again, please let go of me!" Maddie begged him while he was dragging her by her hair upstairs. Has he arrived at their room he pushed the door with his leg and through her inside and locked the door behind him. "Please John, don't do it, I said I was sorry, I didn't mean it!" Maddie cried has he was taking his clothes off so he could punish this woman that he has in front of him. Today will be the last time that I'm going to touch this stupid woman, tomorrow I'll hire someone to get rid of her and then look for the next one! John thought to himself with an evil smile while he was looking at Maddison!

James:

James felt that his life is finally going to have a happy ending. His girlfriend, Paula was pregnant with their first child. He smiled at the thought of her round with their child, the only thing is left is ask for her hand and everything will be perfect. "DAVIS, you got a call from home!" one of Marine yell from the entry. He got up from his chair and went to answer the phone. "Hello?" he asked "Hi, James. It's me Paula. How are you hanging on there? I miss you so much." James was smiling just from listening to Paula's voice. "Hi my love. I miss you too. How is our son behavior inside of you? Is he giving you a lot of trouble?" James was just happy to talk to her, knowing that she was fine, and the baby didn't give her problems. "Hehehe, yes, your son is behaving just OK. Even though he moves a lot then usual. I hope he stop moving so much, my feet and ankles are already in pain from standing." She said to James over the phone while she was rubbing her big pregnant belly. While she was rubbing, the baby kicked her hard that she felt wet between her legs and looked down to see her water broke 2 weeks before time, "Honey, my water just broke. I'm scared, please come home, I don't want to be alone while giving birth to our baby." Paula was breathing heavenly, while she tried to breath like her OB taught her. "WHAT?! First, don't panic and breath like your OB doctor told you and I'll tell my parents to come and help you until I'll come. Don't worry I'll come fast! Wait for me my love." James assured her and hanged the phone to call his parents and told them to go to his house and help Paula because her water just broke and told them that he'll come in an hour. James finished his call with his parents and went to look for his commander to ask for a leave of absence. Upon arriving at his office he knocked and waited for his permission come in. "Come in" the commander said "Sir, I'm sorry for interrupting you, but my girlfriend is about to give birth to my son, I need your permission, please Sir, I want to be next to her when my son is born." James begged his commander. "Relax son, you have my permission to leave. I'll give a week to be with them and then you'll have to come back to the base." The commander smiled to James and reached his hand to shack his hand. James smiled and saluted his commander and then shacked his hand. "I promise you commander, I'll be back next week with a lot of strength to continue." James thanked him and left to toward his car and left the base toward the hospital where his girlfriend was waiting for him to give birth to their first son. An hour later, James entered the hospital and went to the maternity section to be next to his girlfriend. When he arrived to where his parents stood, he just stopped al of a sudden when he saw his parents faces, especially his mother's crying face. "What's wrong mom? Why are you crying? Dad?" James asked them with a fear creeping inside of him. "Have a sit son," his dad began to tell him while he sat him down "while we were waiting for you to come, Paula started to feel bad. They did ultrasound to check on the baby's position to see if she can give natural birth, but after checking they saw that the baby's cord was around his neck, so they had to rush her to the OR and do a C-section on her so they can save the baby and the mother. I'm sorry son, I've tried to make them wait for you, but it could risk her and the baby more, so I gave them the permission for the operation." James sat on chair with a shock on his face. "How long has it been, since they got her to the OR?" he asked his dad "Half an hour ago, don't worry son. They are strong and you'll be able to hold your son soon and hug Paula. Have some fate in the doctors that are trying to help them!" his dad told James while sitting next to him and tried to calm him down. Two hours later, the OR doors opened, and their OB doctor came out to their side. James and his parents stood up and approached her. "How was the operation? Is my son and girlfriend feeling?" James asked the OB with a desperate voice. "Your son was born an hour ago, and he is healthy and beautiful. They are cleaning him now and will bring him to you soon. About Paula…" the OB took a little breath so she could tell him the bad news "What about Paula? How is she?" James asked her with tears in his eyes. "Calm down son, sit down. Let her speak, you can continue doctor" his dad said and sat James on the chair. "Thank you Mr. Davis, like I was saying! I don't know how to tell you James. We tried our best to save her, but… she just passed away a few minutes ago from lost of blood. I'm sorry James for not be able to save her." The doctor said with a sad voice and left them to morn the death of Paula. James just couldn't believe what he just heard. His Paula died on the OR bed giving birth to their son. No, I don't want to believe that. She can't leave us, leave me and our son alone. How we'll survive without her. James thought to himself with disbelief. "I'm sorry son" his mom hugged him while she cried for the loss of his girlfriend, she liked that girl and thought that someday she'll become her daughter in law. James screamed and cried in his parents arms for the loss of his girlfriend and the only woman he ever loved and promised him self that he'll raise their son with love and that he'll never fall in love again. He doesn't want to lose another like Paula.
