Suddenly, something dawned upon Sarah and realization hit her very hardly.

" Wait!!", Sarah yelled, garnering everybody's attention. " Luna Banks was the daughter of the business prodigy Mark Banks… That means you are a member of the Banks family??!!", she asked in shock.

The more the others thought about Sarah's analysis, the more they felt that it was true.

Marina was so stunned that she was shaking Lara's shoulder and was asking her again and again.

" You are the granddaughter of Mark Banks!! The heiress of the Banks family!!! And you never told us!! Huh?? Don't you trust us??!!", she yelled while vigorously shaking Lara's shoulder.

Lara held Marina's shoulder in an attempt to calm her and spoke hurriedly," Relax… Yes, I am his granddaughter… Relax first, then I'll explain.."

Marina took a few deep breaths on Lara's urging and tried to calm herself. She went and sat on the couch, followed by the others.

" Explain.", she said in a stern tone. The others looked at Marina with a slightly worried expression.

' Wasn't she being a bit too much??' . They all thought

" See.. As stupid as this is going to sound, I just very recently knew the identities of my mother's family.. I only knew that I had a grandfather, an aunt and two cousins… I wasn't even told their names…

And when I found out, I was just too overwhelmed… So I just informed Mr. Miles and Boss to avoid any future confusion… I didn't tell you guys because I was still getting used to it, not because I didn't trust you guys…", Lara spoke in a slightly pitiful voice.

" So the " illegitimate granddaughter" rumour was true??", Ryan asked Lara.

A few days ago, some major news outlets posted articles saying that Mark Banks had an illegitimate granddaughter who was seen with his two grandsons.

Due to the fact that Mark Banks had a clean image, the news spread like wildfire. But a statement was released by the Banks corporation soon saying that there were no illegitimate children in the Banks family and that action would be taken against the outlets spreading the fake news.

This was enough to shut the mouths of almost everyone. The few who still had doubts had no evidence to raise against them and were hence forced to keep quiet.

" Apart from the "illegitimate" part, most of the other things are true..", Lara replied. But Marina still looked unconvinced. " Sorry…", she apologized to Marina.

" Fine. I forgive you for this time… But if you dare to hide anything like this again in the future… I swear I'll be your grim reaper…", Marina said with a huff and pouted like an angry kid.

" Come on Marina.. If you pout like that, your boyfriend might become too tempted to kiss you…", Lara teased Marina.

Marina's face turned red in an instant and the pout disappeared from her face. Even Ryan's face turned red. Though he wanted to deny it, what Lara said was true. He really felt the urge to kiss Marina when he saw her pout.

Lara and the others laughed seeing their red faces.

" Oh!! I forgot to introduce her… This is Maria, my bestie and sister from another father…", Lara quickly introduced Maria to everyone. They also introduced themselves to her.

" So what are we waiting for?? Let's party!!", both Maria and Lara said at the same time. The others also cheered happily.

By this time, it had started raining outside.

Each of them went and picked up a can of beer each.

Standing together in a circle, they all started raising their glasses for a toast.

" For friendship."

" For happiness."

" For more such party nights."

" Cheers."

But just before they could take a sip of their beer, the bell rang.

" You guys drink. I'll check the door.", Lara said while placing the opened can back on the table.

She was trying to think hard as to who had come to her house when it was raining. She didn't remember asking anybody to come and not many people knew her address either.

She looked out of the window for a split second and realized that it had started raining heavily.' Who could it be??', she thought.

She opened the door slowly and her body immediately froze seeing the person outside.
