1 CHAPTER 1: BAD DAY

My name is Fu Weina and today is my unlucky day. Why is that? I've been to 10 job interviews but I failed them all. It's not like I've put a high salary request. To say that my qualification doesn't match the job I applied for is even more illogical. All the jobs I've applied to are restaurants waitress. But I don't understand why and how I failed to get them. Maybe's the job's not meant for me. Be patient Fu Weina, maybe tomorrow you'll find a job meant for you. Yeah, inside voice to calm my own heart.

"Fu Weina!" yelled Li Manfei. Luckily I didn't have a heart problem or I'd have drop dead.

"Hey! Do you have to yell at me like that? Luckily my heart is still functional. Fuhh." This girl. Did she have to yell like that. I'm already dizzy pondering over my unlucky life.

"How did it go with your interviews? Is it O.K or K.O?" Li Manfei asked nonchalantly.

"K.O again. I don't know what to do anymore. My economic situation is getting worse now. Even this month's rent I think I'll have to borrow fro you a bit." I feel so ashamed right now. I have to ask for some help from this Li Manfei.

"About the rent, I can help cover for you little bit. The factory I'm working at is not hiring anymore, so I can't help you even if I want to. Don't worry." my heart calmed down slightly after hearing her answer. At least there's still a place for me to stay in until next month.

"Finding a job is so hard. I'm even willing to work as a maid." I don't even know where the idea of working as a maid came from. Oh my god Fu Weina. Don't you know you're not worth working as a maid? You're too lazy to clean the house. Cooking? Forget it. I mocked myself.

"A maid? I think that would be hard to get too.why? Because those jobs are always filled by foreigner girls. Unless you try your luck at a maid agency." Sometimes, Li Manfei's ideas are quite useful. I quickly moves and sit on the side of her bed. I'm very interested in this idea.

"Of course. Why didn't I think of that, huh? If I went to any job agency from the beginning it would have been easier. Thank you, Madam." Li Manfei just smiled while shaking her head listening to Fu Weina talking like the foreigner maids.

"I got the day off tomorrow. I can go with you to the job agency in the Diamond Mall." Li Manfei said while looking at me.

She then quickly got up heading to the vanity mirror and start tapping her face with a white cream that I have no idea what it does. And then she took some other cream and put it under her eyes.

"Oh that's great. Okay. Tomorrow. 9 am okay. Promise." Err, 9 am? Can you even wake up Fu Weina? Well, what's a little no sleep if it results in something. Right? Yes, I need to sleep now to make sure that tomorrow's programme is perfect. Good night moon and stars!
