CHAPTER 27

The whistle blows and he launched himself forward, his fist pulled back for a punch. I ducked, grabbing his lower torso and slamming him to the ground. He punched my shoulder, a sickening crack emerging from my bones. I pushed through the pain and punhed the guy in the face with my opposite arm. He stays down, his nose cracked in a strange position. He grasps his face and I let him up, popping my arm back into socket. Zavier jumps over the fence, his eyes locked on me. He embraced me but I pushed him out of the way, not wanting his help. "I'm fine, Zavier. I'm a soldier." He backs off and jumps back over the fence, his snarl towards some of the Deltas who were mocking his affection.

I growl and place ice pack on my shoulder until my werewolf healing kicked in. I shake my head and put on my emotionless face, tossing the ice pack next to a sweat towel then stepped back into the arena, waiting for the next opponent.
